Okay, Broccoli in Garlic sauce shared with Mixed Vegetables and Tofu does not have much room to go wrong -- and it did not! But going here on a snowy day with a lot of people still digging out during the lunch hour, only to find us as the only non Asian table eating, must say something a lot deeper than our menu selections. Now if I only knew someone who could help with the Chinese menu... read more

One of the best Authentic Chinese Sichuan food you can get in the middlesex area. I live about 5 minutes away i come here when im craving a some real spicy food. have i mentioned that it also is very cheap? i took my family of 6 out for dinner and the bill came out to 70 with tax and tip. read more

First off, all you can eat scallion pancakes, rice porridge, hot and sour soup, and taro coconut dessert soup. I think I might've filled up on the scallion pancakes before we even started ordering. The menu is completely in Chinese, which wasn't a huge problem for me since my dad was with me and could read Chinese, but I can only imagine the difficulties of a non-Chinese-reader coming to the restaurant. In terms of the food, the dishes are all pretty traditionally Chinese, with a focus on Szechuan cooking.I didn't find the fish that we ordered to be... spicy... or flavorful enough. It was weird because there looked to be enough hot chili oil and spice - the flavor just wasn't there. I was hoping for much more when I walked into the restaurant, and I guess my expectations were just too high. read more

Yum!! For a Chinese place I dunno why but I've always been a fan of Dragon Palace the food never fails to be anything less then amazing!!! I don't like American Chinese I like authenticity and Dragon Palace has it!! It's BYOB the food is very well prices and it's ambience is fine too. Listen it's not takeout it's clean fast service! Got my food under 10 minutes. Free soup and scallion pancakes is a plus in my books!! I was just sad they didn't have the hot pepper to my favorite shredded chicken and long hot pepper dish :( until next time...... read more

I've been coming here for years, the food has always been consistently amazing. It is one of my favorite go to lunch spots. The owner is very friendly the staff is very helpful and the food is as authentic as you can get especially for the price. I normally get General Tso's chicken or sesame chicken, a lot of chicken dishes as you could see and they are all always beyond amazing. read more

DO NOT GO THERE ON SUNDAY EVENING!!! It is really a horrible experience there last week. we went there at 7:30,there was only two table with guests but no one serve me and my boyfriend. we waited for more than 15 mins but no one comes. We had to go to the kitchen find a waiter. It seems like they do not want do business on Sunday . Then, the people at other table got fight each other, a woman hit the table and went away, the reset of them still yelling to each other even there is a kid with them. And no one stop them, even the waiter and the boss. They just ran away. I really wanna call 911. So I have to enjoy my dinner in a HUGE NOISY place!!! Finial, I found that these people are very close to the boss of this restaurant, OMG,that's why the boss allowed them to do that, maybe the boss thinks there is no need to consider me and my boyfriend's feeling. The yelling noisy keeps recalling in my head all the night, it is the MOST WORSE DINNER I had ever in my life. For the food, it is too heavy with too much oil.Not recommend. I will NEVER go there anymore. read more

Decent reliable Chinese food - I mostly takeout. The Mie fun is great and so is the schezuan tofu.

Authentic Sze Chuan food. We got 3 dishes: fish fillet with eggplant, sweet and spicy shredded pork with bamboo shoots (slightly spicy), and tofu on iron plate. All three tasted really great! They provide you with a bowl of white rice, and there is a buffet-type section in the middle, where you can help yourself to scallion pancakes, pickled cabbage, (mung bean?) porridge, hot and sour soup, and one of my personal favorites: taro dessert soup with tapioca balls. When the waiter brings out freshly made scallion pancakes, make sure to grab some before everyone else takes it! read more

My boss brought me here since it's so close to the office. I was very pleasantly surprised and find it to be a hidden gem. The lunch menu is Extensive and has english. In the middle of the restaurant you will find hot and sour soup, wonton soup and maybe eggdrop soup. The thing that people go crazy for is the scallion pancakes. The soup and pancakes are all you can eat so people go crazy as soon as a fresh tray of scallion pancakes come out of the kitchen. I ordered the mapo tofu for lunch and all together came out to $9 a person. Can't complain for some authentic sichuan food. I then brought my hubby here and he did not enjoy it as much as I did. The authentic menu is in chinese and he did not like that because he doesn't speak chinese. The food was good though. We ordered two dishes and an appetizer and we couldn't finish it all. Definitely get the seafood crispy noodles. SO flavorful!! You get unlimited soup, scallion pancakes and tong sui (chinese dessert soup) during dinner time. Go check it out!! read more

Ordered silk melon, spicy lamb, and rabbit. Don't let the name fool you, this place has a traditional Chinese menu and they know how to cook it. Great taste, good portions as well. They have a free salad and soup bar while you wait. read more

Having been to Szechuan and tried the local food carts, it's very hard for me to fairly grade this restaurant. On one hand I think they have worked hard on trying to recreate the dining experience that you would've received; but they also missed some elements that could've raised to food to the next level. Service and decor are all good, weekends you get free soup and pancakes. Recommended dishes (all spicy): Boiled beef, Farmer's Wok read more

Fabulous authentic Sichuan food. Be warned that the English menu does not have many of the dishes that the Mandarin menu has. I was lucky enough to be in the company of a mandarin speaking friend who ordered for the table. Everything thing was excellent, but the sour cabbage & fish fillet soup was out-of-this-world. In English it doesn't sound appetizing, but trust me. It doesn't taste fishy or sour, just delicious. The wait service was "tired". It was a little bit noisy for lunch Saturday, during which the place was nearly full of Chinese customers. The great food makes it easy to overlook the inconveniences. Other than those it was a great experience. I'd drive an hour to dine here. read more

Very rude when I called in to place a order. Then hung up the phone on me after they did not have any shrimp egg rolls. When I wasn't done with my order. Did not even care or show any remorse read more

An authentic Chinese restaurant. You might want to order from the Chinese menu. The staff is friendly to recommend dishes. Very reasonably priced. Comes with unlimited soup and hot dessert and sides. I havent had a bad dish here. Most of the stuff I ordered, even not being able to read the characters, came out awesome. They also provide americanized version, which isn't my thing. read more

An average Chinese restaurant overall. It's definitely tailored towards Chinese who loves spicy food (szechuan/hunan style). We do come here occasionally when we crave for their one of a kind sizzling tofu plate. We also enjoy their cumin beef/lamb and their appetizer of sliced beef & ox tongue. Every time we decided to try other dishes, we would end up in regrets. We are not overly excited but do enjoy their complimentary all-you-can eat pancakes and soups. read more

Dragon Palace - Delicious sizzling tofu plate. Crispy outside and silky egg tofu inside. - Chinese Near Me - Edison, New Jersey

I come here whenever I'm free on a weekday with guests to entertain. They have complimentary appetizers (soups and scallion pancakes) which are pretty fantastic. They also have the nice effect of making sure that experimenting with ordering new dishes is all right because even if you (or your party) don't enjoy it that much you still won't leave hungry. Also, the dishes are pretty good-- I really like their bamboo shoots with pork. The standard fried rice/ noodles type stuff is alright, though their spicy fare is pretty top of the line. Definitely a great place to go, but remember that you must order at least 1 dish per customer in the party. read more

I've come here for 15 years at least and it has some of the best authentic food I've had but my only issue with it is the separate menu that they have that is in Mandarin. I have to come with friends that can read Mandarin to get to cool secret wierd interesting authentic stuff. I really don't think it would take that much effort to put those dishes on the English menu and I've had to go out of my way to try more interesting authentic sichuan food (which is the reason why I and most people go there.) So please translate the Mandarin menu to make it easier for chumps like me to eat some yummy authentic Sichuan style food. read more

I returned here the other day and even though they claime that closing time in 09:#0 PM, they would not let me sit in the restaurant at 08:50 PM. This seems like a rediculous policy... if You wat to close that damn kitched at 05:00 PM I don't care do so... PUBLISH IT DAMN IT, not some hidden rules that frustrates a paying customer who showes up at your door 40 minutes before closing. Also I decided to place a take out order ---- big mistake, they screwed up my food so bad, that I will never even go back to these guys... what i asked as spicy was sweet. Absolutely the waste for the day was thrown into my food to call it a meal, my wife complained that all the chicken was simply waste bones ! simply terrible. I am quite certain that the cooks had left for the day and the cleaning staff cooked my take out, terrible, terrible, a waste of 50$$ for a group of 4 of us. I am really done with them NEVER AGAIN read more

Unfortunately, despite the convenience of so many chinese take-out restaurants, very rarely are the restaurants worthy of being recognized as actually Chinese. One fine day, my mom was craving some Chinese soup while we were running errands in the area during lunchtime so I yelped this place. It is hard to notice this place but upon entering, I was the only non-Asian with my mom which is always a good sign in Chinese restaurants. My mind was about to be blown. The complimentary hot and sour soup was fantastic and the perfect start to a great meal. I also enjoyed the complimentary scallion pancake, perfectly cooked where it was crispy and chewy and not too oily. Then the meal came in family style orders. We ordered spicy diced chicken and I loved how it was spicy and despite fried, not oily at all. I am sick of spicy Chinese dishes being sweet but there was no sign of sweetness (it was a good thing). We also ordered the beef with scallion which was also fantastic. You could taste the authenticity in each dish and we enjoyed every bite of our meal. The servers were decent. And the lunch prices were unbeatable. Will be returning here. read more

One of the most authentic Sichuan food I've ever tasted in New Jersey. This one of the rare places I'll take relatives from China. The appetizers are abundant and delectable. The customer service is quite friendly and the ambiance is quite reminiscent of restaurants in china. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a Chinese delicacy. read more

I've been here twice, both times with visitors. It's authentic Chinese food, just like I remember. That's probably how they got me - it was just what I was looking for. They also customized a dish for us based on our description. My mom was with me the first time, so I let her handle all the ordering. They also have hot and sour soup and chinese pancake for everyone. When I went the second time, the food had already gotten cold though. I've forgiven that though. It didn't disappoint! Why else would I have come back a second time? read more

It was ok...I asked for my entree to be steamed and they didn't do that. We brought wine but they didn't have wine glasses. Everybody else was drinking tea. We felt like two alcoholic white girls lol read more

It has been almost 5 years since we came here for authentic szechuan cuisine. It was as good as we have remembered it. We had pickled fish soup, stuffed eggplant, chili conch, and deep fried bun with condensed milk. They were all excellent. The portions were generous. In fact, we may have ordered too much. Every customers that evening seemed to really appreciate the complimentary hot and sour soup, scallion pancake, and the millet soup. Check out this place if you are in Edison, NJ. read more

I was on the lookout for a good Chinese restaurant and now I am happy to say my search ends here! This place is so close to our home I'm surprised we didn't try it sooner. The restaurant's ambiance is nice, well lit and authentic. The menu I'm happy to say is now in English. They have hot tea on every table and that was a nice touch (often missing in smaller Chinese places). We order the vegetarian egg roll or as they call it the spring roll for appetizers, they were good not great, but nothing to complain about. For main course we ate the hunan stir fry which was excellent. The serving size was large enough for two not-so hungry people as we were. All in all a great experience. I will definitely go back there soon. read more

Dropped by for dinner on Sunday. Very slow service and the restaurant was only at about 65% capacity. Complimentary scallion pancakes were good but hot and sour soup was excessively salty. We ordered three dishes. One was fish with si gua which was undercooked, the plate of bok choy had no salt in it at all, and the third hotpot with tofu, pork belly, and pickled bai cai was just average. Will not be coming here again. read more

When my parents don't have time to cook, we get take out from here. I've never been here for the dining experience. We always get the same two things: chicken and broccoli and vegetable lo mein. My favorite dish: They have this awesome soup dish with cabbage, pork belly, and vermicelli noodles. It comes in a hot pot type vessel with a candle that keeps it piping hot. There's also a hint of vinegar that cuts the pork belly fatty taste. I used to go there a lot. Also they have all you can eat scallion pancake, jook, and sweet soup if you order like 3 dishes from their menu. read more

Menu was accessible and staff was helpful in picking out authentic szechuan dishes. We had Chinese spinach, boiled beef in chili oil, and three pepper chicken. All were good, and I will definitely be going back. I especially liked the boiled beef - it was spicy and very flavorful. Looks like a lot of the Chinese patrons were ordering hot pots; I will try that next time. read more

I was there for lunch in Jan 2011 based on the reviews here. There was a soup and fried bread station with unlimited supply if you order lunch, this was very good and I gorged myself on it. I ordered the three pepper chicken. The oil used for frying was rank and smelled. This spoiled what would have been otherwise a very good dish. I finished the dish despite this (yeah, I am easily pleased). I informed the waitress that the oil was not good but I am not sure how much she understood. Next time I will try something that is not fried and hope it turns out better. read more
