This is a western/oriental mix of cuisine, so many dishes and lots of new ideas. The staff and service is efficient and really world class.

Once you go up the staircase (and hopefully…read morenot get lost), you end up in what seems like such a retro Chinese restaurant with a dragon on the ceiling and little temple booths.. Went for the lunch special, a bargain at 10 pounds. I left feeling satisfied and not stuffed, which is probably a good thing. The appetizer spring rolls were relatively small but the main dish of Hong Kong style pork was quite tasty with its accompanying rice. Staff were always on hand and in the area for anything. Decent lunch - I would return back.

Reasonably tasty, always hot and brought to you promptly. Also very salty, to my taste at least. After the most recent visit both myself and the boyfriend felt a bit ill, not, I hasten to stress, in a food poisoning way, just very bloated, a bit headachey and a bit off colour. It's been quite a long time since we've eaten in a Chinese restaurant, and we reckon our systems have just got used to the lack of msg in our diets! However, if you are a fan of Chinese food, and amazing decor, then you should definitely check out China Sea. Its one of the longest established Chinese restaurants in Glasgow, but beware, if you need wheelchair/similar access it is not the place to go. There are 2 entrances, and both are up pretty steep, long staircases.

China buffet King seems to have died of death in Glasgow where they used to be literally on every street. Trends and novelties change as most people don't eat that kind of food. On the buffet there isn't really a selection everything is battered and coated with a different sauce with exception to the chips. The food in the hot holding counters are not holding the food warm enough so food served is usually Luke warm. The only canned drinks on offer is lager, they don't serve Coke or bottled drinks they prefer draught that taste rank. Not a place l would ever go to again. Should be really zero stars.

I had urges to try hot pot for a very long time but always had excuses to avoid it. This was…read moreclearly a bad plan as this hot pot restaurant was fantastic. When I first entered, it was busy. The smell of the combination of different broths and foods filled the air. It did make the room a bit warm but that's to be expecting in a room filled with boiling pots. After sitting down, we were quickly explained how to order on the menu and left alone. We ended up with a dual pot of hot and spicy broth and of tom yum kung broth. I'd like all of the meats and vegetables we ordered but it's best to say that the options were plentiful and I was able to get fresh shellfish. Yes, I could even get seasonal crab, razor clam, and scallop. It didn't take very long for the pot of broths to come out, along with the giant plate of foods we ordered to go along with it. I'm a big eater and even this looked overwhelming to me. And the quality of food matched the quantity. All of the vegetables were clearly freshly cut and the shellfish was clearly fresh. It was a very fun experience to cook foods in the pot. Occasionally they'd come around to add more water to the pot as it boiled off. They also offered to bring us more food. I never needed it but it was good to know I could get it. In hindsight I could have used more crab because it was clearly worth the price on its own. I really would want to go back. It's not exactly a cheap place but at £16.99 per person it was such a good experience that I'd happily go back.

I ate so much fish, even more than when I was at those restaurants I had in China! They also give Chinese lots of other genuine Chinese food as an add-on for free: steamed buns, roasted beef, chicken feet, ice cream.... Lots of appetizers! We had great memories at this restaurant. I would definitely come back whenever I return to Glasgow! What's more, they have Karaoke for free!

We are used to NYC Chinese food, which I think tends to be much better and more authentic than other places outside Asia so I wasn't expecting much in Scotland, but this place was so good! Highly recommend.

Located behind Burger King, one floor up, on Renfield street, this place is a pretty typical Chinese restaurant; super no-frills, with very fast paced staff members and karaoke sets. Yes, time to sing k y'all! Hehe Anyway, there was about 20+ of us so we had a pretty huge meal! Started off with the lou sang which is a pretty traditional dish of shredded vege, slices of fresh fish and other goodness. During CNY, everyone surrounds the lou sang with their chopsticks and starts mixing everything altogether! This is suppose to bring us luck and prosperity! :) Then afterwards came the main food! Fried fish, chilli prawns, roasted duck, fried tofu with bak choy, pork with vege in oyster sauce, vege curry, roasted pork, rice and of course, endless pot of tea! It was a FEAST! My favs were probably the fish, prawn and tofu. SO GOOD. It all came up to £20.20 per person which is reasonable for the amount we ate! And of course, soon after was the karaoke session. It was really fun! Felt like I was back home celebrating CNY with my friends! Anyway, if ya wanna have a go at something realz, would def recommend China Blue. It was easy for me cause my friends speak mandarin and communicated easily with the staff so everything was fast and efficient! Don't expect a "top notch" experience though cause after all, this is a pretty authentic place. ;)

We recently popped in with some friends a couple of weeks ago - and I'm impressed. The refurb has worked wonders. It's managed to retain the friendly atmosphere it previously had, but now has a bit of style to go with its substance. As it's a traditional Malaysian restaurant, the tables are set with chopsticks. Ordinarily I have no issue using them, but I've a health issue that causes my hands to shake, so I asked for a fork. And I got this, delivered with quite a smirk. I'm not justifying in a restaurant why I needed a fork, but I wasn't particularly happy with being (innocently, I'm sure) belittled in this way. I had chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce to start with - really tasty, in a properly cooked, 'falling off the skewer ' kinda way. For main, I had kung po chicken and steamed rice. This was AMAZING! And much spicier than I had expected. Overall the staff were really attentive and the food was awesome. I'm knocking 2 stars off: one for the fork thing; and the second for only having one toilet (it gets really busy here).

I could eat in this place every single night!…read more I am not sure I have enough words to cover how good this place is. Ok so here goes. For starters we ordered the platter, but only for one person which was plenty and the Salt and Pepper squid. I would recommend the salt and pepper dishes every time, they are that good! For mains we tried to do the whole lets share but when we both tasted our dishes we didn't want to give them up! We got a Braised Beef curry ( spicy!!) and Salt and Pepper scallops! Oooo mmmm geeeee! Nice! We also ordered 2 portions of rice, Which seemed to be more than enough. As we watched more people being served their food we noticed they seemed to be all doing the same thing which was ordering your own portion of rice and then sharing all the mains with veg as well. The only negative thing I would say (and I really don't want too) they don't have a great selection of beers that are local to their cuisine, so we both selected the tiger beer. I really want to mark this place higher than I can. 10 stars for me!
