I was raving to my friend today about your shop and she suggested I leave a review.. Totally didn't know I could do this! I'm so glad I can because I think you need to hear this *i hope the business owner sees this at least!!!* Anyway!!! The girl... I think her name was kaylee? Anyway! She was absolutely fabulous!!! I had my ears done when I was 12 with awful jewellery and a piercing gun so I had no clue what I was doing! I came in about a week ago looking for something for my ears! We started chatting and I got so much information! At first I had sticker shock but she explained why the prices were so different from Claire's or Ardennes! I learned all about safe piercings and materials and all that jazz. She helped me pick out a set of internally threaded posts in the right size for me (I think that's what she called them.. I don't rightly remember. I just remember the internal threaded part that I will be coming back for... I just didn't have the funds due to wrong price expectancies) that I can inter exchange ends on! I had no clue these existed! And she even explained internal threading vs external vs thread less and sizing! She was so polite when she was giving me the rundown of why piercing guns are bad and what materials are safe and what aren't! I've been given half assed answers before *because they're not sanitary now buy this! But why?? And then I get the 'you're dumb' glare* getting scoffed at for my lack of knowledge is not the way to get my business.. I was kinda expecting the same thing but nope! She probably spent a good 15-20 minutes with me explaining things and walking me through all the different options.. And the questions! I had a million of them but she answered each one patiently and quite happily. I'm definitely coming back to get my stuff once I get the money! I just hope I can catch her when she's there!! I can't wait to make the perfect set of ends for my posts! You have no idea how excited I am to make something that fits me! I will gladly wait for the stuff to come in!! And she really seems to love what she does!! I hope all your shop employees are as awesome as her! Edit: Now that I think about it... I didn't have my service dog with me at the time but I should have asked if it was ok for her to come in... I just worry with the tattoos and sanitary environment if it's cool to have her... I will have to call and ask before the next time I make the trip down! read more

I've been recommending Dragon FX TC to everyone who's inquired about a place to get some ink done. I think the reason many people ask is because, if you've had experience with various tattoo shops in the city, you'll know that tattoo shop staff have a tendency to be (I wouldn't say "unsympathetic") crisp with inquiring and potential clients. And I can get that, because they're artists and they don't really owe anyone anything. However, my experience here has been different. I have, in the past been disappointed with different tattoo artists in the city; largely as a result of my own inexperience and lack of assertiveness. I chose to check out this location because it's in Mill Woods--holla. Initially, I was reluctant to get inked here, perhaps because I was too hipster for Dragon FX. When I checked out their artists' portfolios online I was immediately drawn to Nikko's adorable feminine style. Still, reluctant. So I went in. Even though I kinda wandered in aimlessly, I found the staff to be warm and inviting--not pushy or condescending. There I met Nikko, who I immediately felt comfortable with. I talked about an idea I had and she took the time to give me what turned out to be the most fun consultation ever. She was totally in tune with what I wanted done. She was patient and an excellent listener. So I booked that day. She really took her time with the drawings. Without complaint, she altered my piece again and again until it was perfect. It mattered to her that it was perfect for me. To this date, I've had a couple pieces done by her and I can honestly say that I refuse to let anyone else ink me. My only regret is not finding her sooner. A lot of people turn up their noses at Dragon FX but all I can say is that I found my artist here, so I'm grateful. Honest, real staff and quality work. My tattoos look dope. read more

This is my second tattoo with Landon at the DFX in Millwoods, my first experience there was fantastic, and the colour of my tattoo has hardly faded in two years, I still love it! My second tattoo with Landon was just as good as the first, and he customised both pieces for me exactly how I envisioned them, actually they turned out better than I could have hoped for. He has a keen sense of his clients wants and needs and has gone above and beyond for my tattoos on both occasions. I will definitely be coming back, and I enjoy when other artists pop in to say hello, they never interrupt the session, and it's nice to hear good things about what's being put on you (I couldn't see either tattoo during the process because of where they're placed). The odd time a client has popped their head in it was fun to see what they were getting at the same time, but in my experience this rarely happens (I see other reviews saying it is disruptive, but I've had 4 sittings there now and only one client has ever peeked in). I highly recommend Landon, he is a very talented artist, and tattoo artist, he is committed to getting his clients exactly what they want and makes the whole process great! read more

For 2 years I've been looking for someone to touch up a tattoo that I got 3 or 4 years ago. It was fading and there were a few blown out spots. I tried to get consults from artists but most of them told me they couldn't fix it and to remove it. When I went to the towne centre yesterday I was at my wits end. I had nothing to lose so I asked if I could talk to an artist and they didn't hesitate to find one. I told them why I was there and asked if they could fix my tattoo they didn't even question it. They got me in immediately with Nikko and she did an amazing job. I couldn't be more impressed! The front staff were amazing as they didn't make me feel stupid for even asking and they really know what they're talking about. Nikko is just freaking amazing she was great to chat with while she was fixing my tattoo and she made sure every tweak she made to it was okay with me. I've never trusted an artist like I trust her. Any future tattoos of mine will definitely be done by her! read more

I have previously been pierced by Lexci at Kingsway who is now the Manager at the new Millwoods location (and who is always a pleasure to deal with but she was not around when I went in). I went in to get some saline solution and possibly some good quality earrings because my ears, which have been healed for at least 10 years, have suddenly begun weeping and bothering me. I talked to Ryan, he was super friendly and nice, knowledgable and incredibly helpful! I got the right kind of saline and some good surgical steel hoops for my ears to calm down and heal. I sometimes feel unwelcome in tattoo/piercing shops because I dress conservative (for work) and my tattoos and piercings are not generally visible but Ryan did not make me feel that way at all, he was incredibly welcoming and a delight to deal with! Good staff choice, Lexci! read more

Wow what an amazing experience for a first ever tattoo. We had the pleasure of having Luke as our artist. We went in for the consultation set my husbands appointment for 3 weeks later. Went in and he was there and ready to ink my hubby. The original picture of the tattoo that my husband took in I was not fond of and Luke did say he felt it wasn't fitting for what we were looking for. We left my husbands fate in his hands and he drew up an amazing piece. The experience with him was incredible from making my husband feel comfortable with his bedside manner to amazing work. Thank you so much Luke for giving my husband something that I will enjoy looking at every day. We will be back! read more

I have read past reviews about this shop and was really surprised by them. There must have been a significant staff change because my experience there was fabulous! Great customer service by all the staff. And Joel (the tattoo artist) went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with his design. I was so impressed with how clean and professional the place was. It was the first time I've had a tattoo and I was pretty nervous. The staff were great at putting me at ease. Joel tattooed me and it looks amazing! I have already booked my next tattoo! I would recommend this hop to anyone. read more

I met Caleigh at the Mill Woods Town Centre location and got to know her a bit there! I went to the West Edmonton Mall location wanting another nostril piercing. I have always had issues trying to get piercings to heal and I was worried this one wouldn't heal properly. Caleigh did such an amazing job making sure I was ready and knew everything about the aftercare. I got it back in May and it has healed PERFECTLY! This is the first piercing that I have had absolutely no problems with and I can't wait to go back to her for more! read more

I came in to buy a septum ring, and the staff were super friendly & knowledgeable. I need to be able to flip it up for work and the ring I was wearing was too small. I was expecting to have to buy a new one but the guy widened it for me, free of charge. It was quick and painless & saved me buying a new ring, and he was super nice & professional. My friend got her ears pierced here a few years ago to and never had a problem with them:) read more

Nikko has been one of my tattoo artists since she first started tattooing. I adore that girl and all of her work. She's got the cutest damn style and anytime I go in for new work it feels like I'm just hanging out with a friend. And I am. The staff at this location have always been great to me and made me feel welcome. I would recommend to any and all of my friends to go there for tattoos or piercings. They wont disappoint! :) read more

I got my first tattoo from this location from Stef and have continued coming back since. Very professional and personable at the same time. Always feel welcome and the quality and speed can't be beat. Other locations have made me uncomfortable feeling and talked down to, with constant re booking etc. I would recommend stef to anyone looking for quality artwork and a pleasant experience while you're getting work done. read more

I have been tattooed at this location by Nikko Adams multiple times. Her flash selection is amazing and she is happy to design an original piece of work with your references. I would not go to another artist after being tattooed here. read more

Loved my experience here! I came in and got my septum pierced last week. I was pierced by Cody, who was exceptionally knowledgeable. He took his time to make sure I was comfortable and to answer any questions I had. I liked having all of the procedure explained to me so you always knew what was happening and why. Very clean, very professional, very warm atmosphere. Thanks again, Cody! I will be back. read more
