Talked to them over the phone. It was a bunch of talks with people who didn't bother to listen to what I was asking, and then refused to answer to the point. To make a long story short -- just another example of people who that thinks of themselves as "artists" rather than service providers. B@#$ch please, Matisse was an artist. You are just tying to make a living from drawing stuff of people's skin...
In more details:
Asked to make an appointment for a tattoo (mentioned "tattoo" specifically). The lady on the other side was quick and set me up with an appointment. But as we were just about done she asked me what I want to have done, and then went "Oh, I thought it was a piercing... tattoo booking is with someone else." She turned me over to a different person (Jessie), and we had to go through all of that again.
Now for the tattoo appointment. Again -- I talk, they ignore. For example, they have strict policy of consultation first then booking an appointment -- i.e., you must make at least two visits, because it's not like you have a life as a client. I ask "why?", got the "this is our policy" response. Kept inquiring -- and finally got a decent reply: "even though you might think the tattoo session will last one hour, it might take longer, so to avoid that -- we want to have an exact quote and then book an appointment." Fine. Fare enough and makes sense.
Then there was a long session about whether or not I was there for a consultation already. I said no, that I stopped by their place to 2 mins and nothing more, yet the person on the other side insisted on inquiring with everyone around if they had consulted me.
Moving on -- I tried to book a consultation. The person on the other line started naming slots. Turns out the very first one worked for me. She then kept on listing all available slot during this weekend and the next, and I kept saying "no, the first one is fine." After she was finally done and I kept telling her "no, today works for me" for 5 times or so, she then scolded me(!) for being too rude. At that point I had enough...
Next time, start thinking like a business and start accommodating for clients -- who are busy, have a life and deserved to be listened to. Even if it's just over the phone... read more
