From the outside, the place actually looks promising but when you go inside, it's empty and I have a certain smell to it. Have to go back to work soon so we didn't really have time to go look for somewhere else so we just decided to brave it. He went and got the veggie potsticker, and my friend got in the pork pot sticker. Whatever's in that veggie potsticker did not agree with my stomach because it gave me a stomach ache. read more

ordered take out here since I was in area, my order was not rushed by them. so I went to got my order, which was beef and broccoli and shrimp dumplings. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and they remembered my order before I mentioned it. I was asked if wanted any sauce and thanked twice for my order. so beef was tender and cut mostly uniformly which is nice since sometimes you get massive pieces and sometimes small. broccoli was fresh and tender, not wilted or mushy. I appreciated that was right amount sauce, not much like a flood and not too little. rice was cooked and tasted good. shrimp dumping's were packed with filling and did not seem like more dough to filling ratio. filling was good and had a good amount of chucks of shrimp inside them. dipping sauce not too salted and very savory. will order again, when am in the area. read more

I probably should update this review and drop my rating a noch. I still order frequently from this place because it's close to home but I have to say that the past several months this year the food has been hit or miss. Either something has changed (the chef) or I'm starting to notice the chicken doesn't seem as cooked as I'd expect it to be. Rice has been average as of late and if you get any form of chicken from here you may want to tell them well done cause they almost seem to rush the cooking process and chicken hasn't been my favorite from this place. Will NEVER order from here again. The spare ribs were super dry, crumbly and just all around disgusting. The wontons in the wonton soup were gummy and had an odd flavor. As well as the broth having absolutely NO flavor. Egg rolls were so greasy that when a bite was taken, grease would literally drip from it. The bean sprouts in the pork fried rice were not cooked at all and had a raw/from the garden flavor. I used to rave about this place years ago but NEVER again. My stomach hurts so bad (not from being full by any means) that I am more than likely going to vomit. read more

They lost a customer today. In the past 3 weeks they were not ready for orders. They told me they were closed or can't make deliveries. It is 5:00 PM on Thursday and are not open. 3 weeks ago kitchen closed. I called at 4 PM last Thursday and said they were not open....even though I called for a pick up. I am done and wont be back. I stopped in for take-out on a weeknight (first time going here). I ordered at 9pm on a Wednesday night and it was a 20 minute wait, which took me by surprise. When I got there, I was the only customer there, but they seemed extremely busy processing different meals (they also deliver). The staff were very friendly - much friendlier than most of the local Chinese restaurants. The food was on the money and tasted delicious. They portion out the sauces from behind the counter, but you could probably ask for extra sauce if they don't give you enough. One perk that caught my attention is that you can order online. Most restaurants around here don't offer online ordering yet, especially Chinese restaurants. Although I didn't get to try it, that's a very convenient feature that I'm eager to try. read more

My family and I were staying nearby at the homewood suites near stewart airport and happened to get hungry at 10 o'clock at night. The food was hot when it got here and looked really good. Overall the veggie rice was nicely seasoned not overdone and the chicken wings were not dry. I also ordered lo mein and it was pretty tasty. I feel I'm pretty picky with Chinese food. When it comes to Generals Tao Chicken I like the chicken to be crunchy on the out side and moist on the inside. A lot of Chinese places when they serve this dish its very soggy chicken due to the sauce its covered in. However, Dragon City did not have soggy chicken! I will be going back. read more

I've ordered delivery from these guys about 4 times. My food always arrives in a timely manner, and it was still piping hot! They're very courteous and professional. I have only two complaints... the dumplings were 75% dough, 25% meat. The dipping sauce was very good, but the dumplings were horrendous. I thought maybe I caught them on an off night, so I ordered them the following week, and they were just as bad. I couldn't even taste the meat, honestly. The second complaint is the Crab Rangoons. The filling tasted like cream cheese frosting that belongs on a cake... way too sweet, and furthermore there wasn't so much as a trace of crab that I could taste. I've been ordering from this place for 2 years. They consistently screw up the food and I know, then why do I still order. Well they are cheap and close to my house. Well tonight was it, I ordered my food at 4:45, did not arrive until 6 pm. Then there's no white rice! NONE! And I have to wait another 40 minutes for the driver to come back to my house. He then proceeds to call me saying he can't put my address in his GPS, mind you he's already been here. Then I have to chase him down because he's going to all of my neighbors houses. Ordered from here twice, both times I was disappointed with the food. Delivery was fast and portions were ok. The problem is the food was bland and unremarkable. Both times I requested hot mustard for my shrimp roll and both times I recieved one duck sauce and one soy sauce - no mustard ! . I stared going to dragon city in 1993 when I moved to NY. Was hands down the best chinese food around. Always very fast and friendly and food was never disappointing. However the last 6 months or so I have gone in there a handfull of times and the food is just not good anymore. The oil tastes burnt...chicken seems to be undercooked...I order the green beans and they send snap peas instead. When I call back in they say the are out and substituted. I have now switched to the QQ ASIAN BISTRO in vails gate. More expensive but food is top notch and very consistent. read more

From the outside it doesn't look like it could deliver good food. Ordered last week because we needed a quick order on my way home from work and they are right around the corner. I ordered a sweet and sour chicken combo and my wife ordered a pint of lo mein. Well why didn't they get 5 stars, well because I ordered a S&S chicken combo but I received quart of S&S chicken. So I didn't get my egg roll or my pork fried rice. Overall the food was really good and the appearance doesn't say anything about the quality. I will definitely order from there again. read more

They are extremely over priced for the portion of food that they provide. I ordered Crab rangoons and shrimp fried rice. The order only came with four (very small) crab rangoons. They did not taste so great either... I have had better. Also the shrimp fried rice portion was very small. They charged me almost $20 for two very small portions. I usually get Chinese food from a restaurant that is very close to my home. Tonight, I decided to try a different place. I've lived in New Windsor nearly 5 years, and although I've driven passed it many times, I've never had Chinese food from Dragon City. I ordered what I always get the first time I try a Chinese restaurant: Singapore Mai Fun. I did not see it on the menu, but I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they had it and he said, "Yes". I ordered it without mushrooms (assuming that it would have mushrooms). Dragon City generously stuffed as much of it as could fit in the take-out container. It was loaded with fresh shrimp and sliced pork. A few small globs of eggs and just the right amount of sauteed onions added a unique taste to the curry-infused dish. Some places make this dish way too spicy, to the point where it's just overbearing. Not so, here. Just a hint of hot spice, in addition to the curry. It was a perfect balance of flavor. It may just be the best Singapore Mai Fun I've ever had. I ordered the dish to go. I paid only $7.99!!! After the 5 minute drive home, the food was still very hot -- I could barely hold the bag. I will visit Dragon City again, soon. I plan on trying a few other area Chinese restaurants, first. Next week: Panda Restaurant. read more
