They can do better! They have such a large clientele in Coop and sometimes I feel they take us for granted! Pls add some five spice to your chicken wings! They are good but they can use a little more "zest." Sometimes the rice is hard, soft, in between, etc.... I love that they deliver and are right in Coop. I just feel that they can do better with some of the dishes especially the chicken & or chicken w/mixed vegetables. I feel it's the better of the two. I don't really care for the one in Dreiser loop at all! Bring back that "Good Old School Chinatown" food from before! read more

I don't care what any of the reviews say, this is some of the best (and most flavorful) Chinese food in the Bronx. Happily surprised by this place and how great the food is. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was their iced tea. It was tinted water with a diabetes inducing amount of sugar. Don't go for the drinks though! Try the spare ribs and chicken with broccoli with garlic sauce! Dumplings and pork fried rice are also delicious. Staff is super friendly and efficient! read more

Dragon City has been around long time for real. I remember coming here in my youth and I'm in my 40's now. Glad to say they're still a great chinese food place, probably the best chinese food in the entirety of Co-op City itself. The food is fresh and made well. I love their crab rangoon and hot and sour soup. The Rangoon is perfection with crispy outside, crunchy chopped veggies and a hint of sweetness that I love. Their chicken and broccoli is favored by my brats. They love it with a nice crispy egg roll on the side. They're often keeping up with the changing times by offering little new items like sugar donuts, fresh lemonades. Service is always and has always been very pleasant and accommodating. They have never not been busy and overwhelmed but I have never had a bad interaction with any staff. They remember my face as a kid, so walking back in they had surprised but delighted looks on their faces. Almost like seeing family after a long gap. The restaurant has a few tables and the front reception works hard to put in orders and clean up ssimultaneously. They do a great job of managing and I was happy they made it through the pandemic. I will always patron Dragon City from time to time. read more

Dragon City - a menu for a chinese restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Bronx, New York

This Chinese place has terrible food and i seen a roach crowling on the floor as i was eating on there tables

Expensive but worth it. Their beef teriyaki, general tso and lunch specials can't be beat. And the delivery guys are so sweet

This is my neighborhood Chinese restaurant . The food is always hot, tasty and fresh . The delivery men are friendly and courteous. The only thing that is lacking is a beverage ,fortune cookies or something for loyalty and $$ spent at the establishment. read more

I Don't know if I was eating chicken or something else but I couldn't eat the chicken mixed vegetables with pork fried rice but that chicken was like eating "Cane bagasse" lol Dragon City is near me but their food is very inconsistent and another thing is the lack of customer service/unprofessional, I call and before you finish to talk they hang-up the phone. I remember the day that was raining I called because instead of the Shrimp with mixed vegetables they sent me of the mixed vegetables without Shrimp and the guy who picked up the phone said " No delivery" and hang-up the phone after that I honestly had enough of being treated poorly when we are the one who paid their house, cars, vacations and salary. read more

Best Chinese food restaurant in the Bronx since Jade Garden on Jerome Avenue. Excellent quality food and taste and flavor. If only they could get rid of the panhandling at their front door. read more

I ordered subgum wonton soup, chicken wings & egg rolls. The soup's veggies were crisp and fresh, all ingredients were fresh, the egg rolls were nicely packed with good flavor and the chicken wings were nicely fried, crisp but not hard and the meat was juicy with nice flavor. read more

This Chinese restaurant has changed their service is not so great anymore. You order one thing they send you something I will else and when you call they make it seem like that's what you ordered. The delivery I received was disgusting and sloppy no care in the way they deliver. I was loyal customer but I will never order from them again. Their terrible service completely turned me off. read more

It's pretty good. A little expensive. I've noticed the employees eating Popeyes and not their own food . read more

They are really nice and efficient. The food is really good - I usually get my chicken fried rice or lo mein with either the general tso's or garlic chicken. The crab rangoons are awesome! Delivery is pretty quick since I'm right around the corner and the delivery persons are nice. read more

While the service was fast the food was a disappointment. It wasn't like other times we ordered from them. Must be under new management.

Food was disgusting, the shrimp in my shrimp and broccoli meal tasted like rubber and very plain, the broccoli was undercooked and tasted plain as well. I had a stomachache after eating. My fries had hot sauce and bbq sauce and it looked extremely dry. They may have new management or some new cooks, I'm not sure but the food was horrible. U would give 0 stars if I could. Don't waste your time or money you will be disappointed! read more

The first thing that struck me, as I walked in at about 6:00 to put in my order, was the cleanliness of this place. The only thing you could smell was the food being feverishly stir-fried in the kitchen. I placed my order, which included Shrimp Toast, for me a good barometer of quality. If it is dark, oily and smelly, the other food usually follows. In this case, it was golden brown, virtually non-greasy, due to a napkin in the bag (ancient Chinese secret?!?) and fresh tasting. I also had fried scallops and General Tso's chicken. The scallops were sweet, and the general Tso's was well-made, with a decent crunch to the broccoli, and crisp skin to the chicken nuggets. A very good take-out place. I will go back! read more

Big changes to the quality of the food here, the price has increased substantially and the food has suffered greatly, it used to be a favorite go to place for Chinese American food, but now it's become bland and expensive read more

This place is the absolute best Chinese food in co-op city. Usually very fast with delivery as well.would definitely recommend the chicken and broccoli or wings. read more

I went there today to order 2 boneless rib combo with brown rice and when I got home, both containers had pork fried rice. Why can't they just get the order correct like they used too? I'm kind of disappointed. I also asked for only duck sauce and they gave more soy and hot sauce. They also gave one package of noodles for a quart of wonton-egg drop soup, 2 egg rolls were okay, and 2 non- deposit cans of soda. The receipt says I ordered the meals with brown rice. read more

The food is good the last time I brought something the food is always good at Dragon City

We Went to Dragon City for lunch with my husband. All the tables were dirty. My husband asked for a rag to clean the table. A Worker at register told him to wait. We waited and waited then he went back up to the register and my husband was given some napkins. We tried cleaning with napkins but had no success because the table was too sticky. My husband went up to get the food then another female worker came out with a rag yelling. Stating this restaurant is like a fast food restaurant. All my 50 years of living most fast food restaurants have the tables clean. It wasn't for so much hostility and yelling just to be able to sit on a clean table to eat food we paid for. If they keep the tables and floors that dirty in the common area , I could just imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen. Also they have a grade A inspection sticker on the window from 2022. I definitely do not recommend this place at 2102 Bartow Avenue Bronx NY 10475 read more

I never had a problem here but basically I agree- It just works. I used to work in this area in Co-op City and did not wanna eat BK all the time. The only thing that sucked was I only had 30 min to eat lunch and sometimes this place would take forever to make General Tso's lunch special. Needless to say 90% of the time I could never finish the whole thing at lunch and then still get back to work on time. I did like the majority of the meal that I would eat though. Compared to the other chinese take out places in the area, this is one of the better ones. Maybe the Chinese sit down AYCE buffet near Liquidators is the only one better. read more

Service and food was perfectly good definitely the best and cleanest Chinese restaurant in the Bronx ,5star fried chicken and fried rice

Eh, it works. It's infinitely better than Jade Palace in Section 5. Here, the food actually tastes like food--particularly the actual CHINESE dishes. Sadly, most take-out Chinese joints 'round here don't like to go much past their chicken wings, but this place pays attention to their cultural roots. Singapore Mei Fun is quite tasty, as is the Chow Fun. It's a standby, so I go there pretty often, I'd say. But, the decor and sometimes sketchy cleanliness is a bit of a detractor. read more

Take-out for the first time. Here's what I observed in the 10 minutes I waited for food order: 1. Front staff were obnoxious, unfriendly, overall rude to customers, who were predominately black. I felt and saw the attitude. One girl ordered food to eat there, she asked for a paper plate and the female employee just threw it on there like the customer was a piece of dirt. I didn't like that. 2. Food: So so. Eggrolls dry, too much dough, not enough filling. 3. Lo Mein, Gen TSO combo: very dry. I strongly suggest to go elsewhere. Remember, when employees treat you like crap, don't order. Take it back. If it's all about the money, that's NOT the place you want to patronize. Tell them they're rude. They come here to America and bring their 3rd world habits here. They have no manners, do not know how to handle customers.. it's all about the money. But god forbid you're short by a dime.. oh no no no!! Let me say that I do have my favorite chinese take-out and the owners and employees are so nice. They know their business relies on local people, so my comments do not apply to all chinese restaurants. read more

Pretty good diced chicken and shrimp that I haven't had in a while. However for a lunch menu item, it missed some of the incentives that makes it a lunch. I didn't receive a beverage and egg roll/or soup that usually accompanied with lunch foods at any Chinese restaurant. At $7.20 this was the most expensive Chinese lunch meal without the extras. read more

Dragon City - Pork fried rice with diced chicken & shrimp lunch special - Chinese Near Me - Bronx, New York

I would like to start with why I will not order from this place again. I ordered a fairly small meal for me and a friend and the delivery guy shows up. I go to pay but he argues that he needs a bigger tip. At this point I am confused, why is a delivery man arguing with me over a tip when 1) free delivery is advertised and 2) I live within walking distance of the restaurant. I'm a pretty laid back person but never have I had someone argue with me over something that is supposed to be a supplement to GOOD service besides a few taxi drivers but that is a different tale. The food is not horrible however I would double check the NYC Dept of health report card on this restaurant before venturing in. There are some violations that you just do NOT want to see for a place you plan to buy food. With so many other Chinese food places in the area you would think that they would be going above and beyond to try and make sure the customer is satisfied or at least to ensure that their quality is better. Lucky them for the location by the entrance to Bay Plaza. read more

My old chinese take out place! Dragon City has been around forever it seems and I'm glad even with the new layout of Bay Plaza(I moved out in 09) this place is still here! This food is good and true Chinese New york take out! Their ribs are juicy and I always loved their Chicken and string beans right next to their chicken and broccoli! The price is reasonable as well for someone who has to get chinese take out in TX. last I checked, you were guranteed a free drink during lunch right? In Tx..hah! You get NOTHING! Smaller portions, and their food taste so damn different! So Praise Dragon City! As for rude customer service,I never had an issue with them, but I have seem them have bad days *shrugs* its a new yorker thing, if one wants better service, pay more =/ read more

Dragon City is located in the corner of Co-Op City shopping center, next to a Sleepy's mattress store, a jewelry store and Liberty Travel and adjacent to Red Lobster. The restaurant offers authentic Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine; this line really means nothing to a common man, seeking instant gratification from your standard fare of Chinese take out. Food is ok. I've had beef & broccoli, chicken & broccoli, lo mein, and plenty of standard items you see on a take out menu. The only thing of importance is that it has 8 booths, with either yellow or faded orange/salmon (forgive me, I felt color blind when I ordered today) benches. In a shopping strip mall, it's hard to compete when you have a Chinese food buffet, McDonald's, Popeye's, Burger King and Applebee's all in the vicinity. IFHTP 3 read more

Dragon City, a small Chinese restaurant, located in the Bay Plaza Shopping Mall in Co-Op City is one of the better places to satisfy your urge for Chinese food. While their food is nothing special to write home about it is, however, not bad Chinese food either. The store manager Tina canceled a $33.40 order because her delivery guy wasn't getting more than a $2 tip. After the order was place, 5 minutes passed and she called back and told us she cancelled the order. Rounding it up to $35 wasn't good enough. She talked about how cold it was and she had to "look out for her guys" meanwhile since a credit card was used, her canceling the order tied the money up and had that been our last we would have been screwed. You're willing to throw away 20 years of patronage from myself and various people who visit in the house im in for $2? After the arguement and her complaining about how shes losing money and orders from being on the phone, she finally agreed to send the food but told the delivery guy if we didn't give him cash he's to bring the food back to her. Once he got here he told us what the deal was and he got a single dollar bill. That brought his tip to more than $2 but she has lost my business for good along with others that are aware of this. You're looking out for "your guys" but to hell with my family, right? Thank you, Tina. read more
