Oh Dragon Buffet, you were my favorite Chinese buffet and now... you are a place that I will only eat at in my memories. You added a hibachi bar and took away quality. Your chicken used to be crispy and scrumptious but now it is floppy and whatever the opposite of scrumptious is. And on a side note, your mussels made my little brother throw up, and then an employee who saw didn't help me at all and left it on the floor. Your health rating is also concerning. this is the worst restaurant i have ever experienced. do not go here unless you want it to be your last meal. food was horrible! i went there and saw the food looked appetizing! i was even excited to try it. but the food was decent but it was also lacking flavors and the textures in the meat were weird, almost rubbery.. and my body is hurting so bad!! me and my family had allot to try because you know (its a freaking buffet) and guess what! we had like 2 or 4 bites and we didn't eat the rest of the 80% of food we wanted to try because of how sad and sickening the food was. i wish i took a picture for evidence!!! my poor dad, he actually threw up first and had the worst sickness. compared to me and my sister, we felt ill until he got home and threw up and stomachs feeling unwell. i still feel unwell. the ambiance was crappy. you got a buffet on the side and booths and lack of care. after we told our waiter (bless her heart) we go to the worst manager I had ever had pleasure talking to. now i hope this man outside of his job is a loyal citizen and he seems to be, but as the mf manger, he was so rude. we are clearly sick and he is arguing with my dad that he still needs to pay and the food was his own problem not him. excuse me??? a manger should be caring instead of this selfish brat not helping us at all and charging us 50$ still. i can clearly see things that are not to health code with this restaurant. raw meat stays for hours, food is cooking but the top of the food can carry bacteria, which needs leds god. this screams bacteria. i would love to never come back here again, manager was careless, and i hope we can sue this place for good! if they really wanted to keep it, they should've listened to the reviews and customers, and keep it together with fresher food and health code. i hope we can recover from food poisoning. b.s!!!! read more

We stopped in when they just opened for dinner on a Friday (4/25/2025) night so we were expecting 'fresh' food. As soon as you walk in, the place did not feel welcoming or clean so we immediately asked to look at the food before sitting down. We ended up walking out! Food appeared to be old, rice and noodles hard and dry, chicken/ beef options dried out, sauced food options were overheated and stuck on the serving trays by the heat lamps, and entire selection was underwhelming. Cleaning supplies and wash rags were scattered throughout the tables, floors were unclean and could use a good scrub, and even the walls were dingy and dirty, almost yellowish. As soon as you walk in it smelled like grease or old cooking oil. Needless to say, this review is on overall experience, we did not dare try the food. read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for years with my family and now more since moving to this side of town. Their service is always top tier and the staff is friendly. Food will be brought out fresh if you ask and they have a decent size buffet with good items. This will always be a staple for me in the Charlotte area. Wow here on a bussiness trip and this place was so delicious. Very fresh food hot and it's the best I've ever had. The place was neat and clean and our waitress was very friendly and timely. The rice was ok. That's all I ate. The cocktail shrimp had a funny taste to them. Nothing else on the buffet looked like I even wanted to try. The broccoli was so full of oil with no flavor. I only eat seafood and I never had a issue with finding food to eat at any Chinese buffet before but this place I did. My husband had some fried chicken and as he was eating it he was saying something did not taste right and after taking another bit he seen why, the chicken was not even cook correctly (see photo). When they was informed yes they took the chicken off the buffet and apologized. The next pan was cooked correctly when it come out. NO NO: So my son had a piece of apple pie and ice cream. I went to get me some for myself and could not find the Apple pie and my son had to show me where it was... IT WAS BETWEEN SOME CHICKEN AND SOME RIBS (see photo)!!! So that was a no no for me and I did eat that either. INSIDE: was ok not to big or not to small. We was sitting closer to the buffet. They employees was close to us eating as well lol. Only 5 minutes from my house, so we come here a lot for takeout. Never tried their buffet before but their takeout is good, especially for the price. Wouldn't say it's the best Chinese I've ever had, but better than typical takeout Chinese. Portions are very large. I would highly recommend the crab rangoons. read more

Dark, too small to be a good buffet and now I understand why a dinner buffet is only $8.99. Food: Good flavor but very limited options. Only about 4 steam tables and a lot of standard things that you see on most buffets are missing. Cleanliness: Dirty silverware on the table that I had to complain about. Had to get new silverware and ask the waiter for a cup of hot water to kill any germs on the silverware. Service: Never checked on during our meal and never offered a refill on our drinks. Bottom line is that this is not the best buffet that I've gone to. They need to move to a bigger and nicer location or close down and renovate this place from top to bottom. I live right around the corner from here. I am so glad to be visiting it once again after the economic shutdown. I love the fact that they have a lot of booths to sit in. However, the best part is the price ! $9 each for a dinner buffet. With drinks and tax $24 for 2 people plus tip. The peppersteak was excellent tonight. I also like to get their sweet and sour soup. They have wonton and eggdrop soups available also. They grill the chicken teriyaki strips right there every few minutes. They also have a container of white rice available. I like the crispy butter shrimp and the baked crab casserole. They have sesame chicken and spring rolls. Personally, however, I've never been fond of their sweet and sour chicken. For dessert they have a really yummy oreo ice cream and also have other flavors such as chocolate and strawberry. The staff is always good about checking up with you at your table. Went here for lunch for two people our total was $22.93 with drinks. I absolutely love their crab Ragoon. Loved their vegetable fried rice. Sesame chicken wasn't the best but it definitely wasn't the worst, I've had a lot nastier so nothing really special there. Same for the Lo mein- not the best nor the worst. The buffet was kept clean and seemed organized. They don't have a big selection for fruit or dessert so that was kinda disappointing for a sweet tooth like myself. **They did have ice cream so I wasn't to upset!** They are very welcoming and felt right at home. Never a dirty dish if I went to the buffet and returned and always had our drinks refilled. We aren't from around this area so if you have an IPhone and use the built in GPS you may end up back on the interstate. You can easily miss the turn which isn't the buffets fault and didn't affect my rating whatsoever just putting that out there for travelers! My biggest disappointment is it wasn't really cool inside, yeah it's a buffet and the steaming hot food makes it hotter inside but still, we sat a little ways away and it wasn't really cool either way. I don't like buffets. The idea is kind of gross but my group voted for it and as an out of Towner i has to take one for the team. This place was surprisingly good. It had the typical Buffett look to it but the food was hot, fresh, and everything i tasted was delicious.
