Living so close to Draft Picks, I've been here a few times for casual dinners and to grab drinks with friends. The food is nothing too crazy. Think standard American bar food. They do offer daily specials, which I like. Prices are decent and fair for what you're getting. The space inside is large, and if you're into sports, there are plenty of screens throughout the restaurant. If you enjoy watching sports and drinking, check this place out. For the food, everything I've tried was pretty mid at best. The chicken wings were just okay, and while the chicken tenders are meaty, the batter is very interesting... and not necessarily in a good way. Service has also been hit or miss. Some visits are fine, and others not so much. Overall, I'm glad to have a spot like this close to home for something easy and convenient, but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to recommend or hype up to friends.

Solid place to gather with friends with a large dining area and plenty of parking. This place has tons of specials and events happening which make the atmosphere a bit more lively than some other suburban bars for me. Service isn't the quickest, here but it's definitely much quicker than some other suburban spots that I've been to when they're at their busiest. The best reason to come here is probably their daily specials which provide a sizeable amount of food for a very reasonable price (rivaling that of fast food and fast casual). These are prepared pretty similar to what you find for suburban bar food, but the additional star is due to competitive pricing. I've never had anything here which I find particularly amazing, but I also not had anything here that I really disliked. The brownie and chocolate chip cookie are both solid dessert options, but are fairly large so it's good to share with a group. There's a fairly good amount of whipped cream and ice cream on them as well, which is a plus for anyone craving a frozen treat. Overall, large and comfortable place to gather with friends. It gets the job done while providing plenty of food without breaking the bank. It's also not excessively loud even when busy, which is a positive when coming here with a group.

Their homemade chili is excellent. It's worth it to pay the extra cost for onions and cheddar cheese because it enhances the dish's flavor and charm. The spices in the chili are flavorful, and the proportions of meat to beans are just right. I had their hungover burger for a meal. The patty was dry and poorly seasoned. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium, but it came out well done. The bacon had a good, savory flavor, but it was floppy and I wish it had been crispy. The fried egg was cooked to perfection; the yolk is still runny but the outside edge has a great crispness to it. If the burger patty was properly cooked, it would be flawless.

We were seated right away in a booth. Our waiter greeted us right away and took our drink and food order. They serve coke fountain products which we were happy about. We started off with an order of Saganaki as our appetizer which we both loved! It was served with quartered pita bread. My husband ordered a dozen mild wings ($89 each) with blue cheese dipping sauce. He loved them and said he would order them again! I ordered the broasted chicken dinner for $12.99 it came with fries (or mashed potatoes) coleslaw and garlic bread. The chicken leg was seasoned perfectly... the rest of the chicken felt like it did not even have any salt or pepper. I am not sure if it is just my taste buds but it was not as flavorful as I hoped for. I would definitely dine here again but I will try something else. My daughter loved the fries and said she would eat them again. The prices were pretty good and the atmosphere was lively and fun. They were playing 80's and 90's hits so we had a fun time here! Will be back when we are in the area!

Emerson's Ale House has one enormous advantage over half the restaurants in the northwest suburbs:…read more You can sit outside without feeling like you've been sentenced to a patio behind a dumpster. The outdoor seating is genuinely great. Comfortable, open, lively, and full of enough attractive people to send the P.O.A. Index into encouraging territory. This is not a place where you sit down, stare at your phone, and contemplate mortality. There's scenery. Then Alex showed up. Alex brought me an iced tea. With a lemon. A lemon. Do you understand how rare this is now? Restaurants have all decided that iced tea should arrive naked, joyless, and unaccompanied, like it just lost a custody battle. Alex, however, understood civilization. She brought the lemon. At that moment, I decided we were getting married. I don't know her political views, credit score, family history, or whether she even likes me. None of that matters. She brought the lemon without being asked. That's wifey material. The menu is a little more yuppie than I normally tolerate. Hot honey this, roasted garlic aioli that, truffle fries lurking around the corner waiting to add seven dollars to your bill. There are enough sauces and modifiers on this menu to make a simple man feel like he accidentally enrolled in culinary graduate school. But here's the irritating part: The food is actually good. The burgers are solid. The sandwiches make sense. The prices are reasonable enough that you don't feel like somebody mugged you with a brioche bun. Even the slightly over-engineered stuff mostly works. That puts Emerson's in a rare category: a place that flirts with yuppie bulls$&@ without disappearing completely up its own @55. Good food. Fair prices. Excellent patio. Strong P.O.A. Index. And Alex brought the lemon. Five stars. I'll be back as soon as I can find out where we're registered.

There was no sense of urgency from the staff and kept walking by us knowing we had waited quite long for our food. This time I ordered to go and the order was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. I waited over 30 for my order and it came out wrong so they had to renamed a plain burger. I want to support some business s but I feel like there's this lack of care from the staff and as if customers are annoying the servers. Many teams come here after games but we will be seeking food elsewhere.

The service is terrible and played around their "regulars" instead of them and average paying customers. This means you could be waiting to order or cash out as long as it takes for the bartenders to get out of their conversations, take a smoke break, and play on their phones for 30 minutes before actually making themselves present to you. I've also seen them trying to take shots with peoples parties and wind up getting into arguments with these customers when they found out that they're expected to pay for the bartender's shots even if they did not initiate it. Thats not as bad as how they let their regulars act and treat anyone in any way they please especially if they're selling or already hopped up on god knows what. Whats even crazier is that this place is a know "Cop Bar" and yet the cops never do anything here to stop any of it. The cops and management know exactly what goes on here and obviously get a slice of the profits so be warned, they will not be called by management. Instead, they let their bouncers handle who they think is trash. With all that said the vibe here is tense. Security is always fighting and tossing people out. Staff wont cut people off even when they are obviously not ok, because they care about the pay, not the wellbeing's of their clientele and to top all that off, the police come in off duty here but are never called in uniform when they are needed. The red flags are clearly present. You choose what you do with the information.

They decorated it with hanging plants, some art, a fish tank. A slight haze of smoke. Desserts on display. I'd say the finest work of art here are the prepped skewers, waiting to be thrown on their charcoal grill. My gaze was fixed on the meat display as if I was Cookie Monster at Crumbl. I composed myself and took a seat. They have great hot and cold appetizers. They have breakfast! Check out their menu, I've included a pic. Lahmacun is a crunchy brick oven flatbread with ground meat. It feels so light, airy, and crunchy, you could eat the whole thing and later say "..um, I ate the whole thing". We ordered a few King Chef's mixed grill platters. It is a medley of filet morsels, chicken, lamb chops, shawarma, shish kebab, and many other things, along with bulgar and fries. Why are their fries so good? Okay, so I know we're just talking about lemonade, but their house made lemonade is so good. We also loved their tea. We went way overboard on desserts. We just kept pointing at sharable items like John Travolta to the Bee Gees. All of the desserts were delicious. For some reason, the simplest of them, rice pudding, won the dessert battle that day. They have plenty of intriguing items that will lure me back, and I'm looking forward to it!
