I loved working with Zack & Javier, who made it easy for us at every step. My family lived in the home during the renovation, and they worked to minimize dust, debris, construction mess and noise during and after demolition. I've never seen a construction site so well kept! They were always prompt, and communicative and helped us know what to expect. They exceeded our expectations with planning, communication, constructive suggestions, and troubleshooting. Homeowners who have engaged in large construction projects are used to hearing that everything costs twice as much and takes twice as long as the builder says it will. Not the case here with Sternwalker Builds (https://www.sternwalkerbuilds.com/). Our work was on budget, and on time. Zack & Javier have years of experience in all aspects of construction and working with people. They are kind, thoughtful, thorough, and prompt. When problems arose, as they inevitably do, they pivoted quickly to find new ideas and solutions. They were happy to make clear suggestions, but also respected our vision and needs for our home. I love the outcome (my kitchen, bathroom, and back of house with custom touches is truly gorgeous and honors the heritage of this Victorian house), but also was not traumatized by living in construction and actually loved the process of working with this team.

From start to finish, Hemlly Painting was a complete pleasure to deal with. They do quality…read moreworkmanship at reasonable prices. The job entailed ripping down old paneling to the studs in our family room and replacing it with drywall sheets (including taping, spackling, sanding, corner bead and painting). They also covered the top-half of a full-brick feature wall (original wall was way too dark and overwhelming), built us a new wood mantel (w stain and polyurethane), that fit over the brick mantel. Lastly, they installed new pull-down stairs that enabled us to access and use our garage attic. This included new decking in the attic. Dan and his crew communicated with me on everything, answered all my questions, and were genuinely nice and honest guys. They were the utmost professionals, practiced all Covid-19 protocols, were neat, and cleaned up. And most important - did quality work at a fair and reasonable price. Hemlly Home Improvement gave us a new, much more comfortable family room, one we love to hang out in and can truly be proud of. I'm glad I found them and would not hesitate to use them again for another project. I highly recommended them.

What was originally 4 rooms was turned into one large open concept living space. They added a half-bath, gutted and rebuilt our kitchen, added new hardwood floors throughout, and built custom trim. They also renovated our outdated upstairs bathroom and updated our front porch with new columns and railings. Would highly recommend them - they're fast and clean, they don't leave a huge mess behind.

I am not normally someone who posts reviews, but felt compelled given the utter disrespect for my…read moretime that this company has had. We had an appointment for Mr. Ward to come to my home on July 8 to provide an estimate, which I took off of work for. The appointment was canceled by them the day before because they stated that they didn't receive the covid questionnaire, which I replied to the previous day. I chalked this up to a miscommunication, and scheduled another appointment for today with Mr. Ward arriving between 10:30 and 11:30. This appointment was confirmed by his office manager, Brooke and I was sent a calendar invite. It is now 12:47, and Mr. Ward has not shown up nor have I received an email, text or call to explain. I have now taken off of work on two occasions for this appointment, and I wish that I was able to write this review on reliability, quality of work, etc., instead of the unprofessionalism of this company.

As soon as it was (relatively) safe for them to do the work, they came out & did it. Both gentlemen working in my house wore masks & gloves the whole time & the company took safety precautions before sending them out. The work itself was well done. I had a somewhat tricky drywall repair/install, and needed the floor for one room tiled. They worked efficiently & effectively, and were always willing & able to answer any questions. Everyone was extremely professional, friendly, and most importantly safe during a difficult time to get anything done safely. Price was good considering the quality of work done, and the work area was left clean. I'll be calling them again if I ever have any other projects.

Thankfully, I contacted Gibellino Construction and spoke with directly with Gabe on that first phone call. He was helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. He immediately put my mind at ease. To say that the situation was challenging would be an understatement, but Gabe never wavered in dealing with the insurance company and the many vendors that were involved in the reconstruction of my home. Their work is impeccable, and Gabe spent many hours working on my case to ensure that everything was done to my specifications and within the allotted budget. He also worked tirelessly to incorporate some other renovation projects into the rebuild so that everything would be done on time. While I hope that no one reading this suffers a loss due to fire, flood or some other disaster, if you do, I highly recommend Gibellino Construction as one of your first phone calls! I will use them again should I have any other home renovation projects in the future.

I had several issues with this contractor. They are extremely sloppy they do not use drop cloths…read moreand i constantly had to clean up after them at night. After installing a new floor, they exposed it to the mud you use to tile a shower,as well as the Red Guard you use to waterproof the shower before tiling. I had to scrub the floor each night they left To get the mud residue and red guard drips up from the new uncovered floor. They also failed to protect a brand new acrylic tub while they were tiling and scratched in several places. I bought a repair kit at Lowe's and was able to buff them out at night after cleaning up the mess they made in the unprotected tub. They totally gutted my bathrooms and they do not own a Shop vac so they had to use our vacuum cleaner. They cleaned the cement out of a bucket and dumped the cement right in our garage which of course I had to clean up. They also started work prior to having a dumpster delivered so our garage was filled with junk for a week and a toilet fell over and smashed into pieces. They also cut tile with a wet saw in my garage instead of out in the grass away from the house. I had to power wash the entire garage and driveway to get up all the caked on dried up tile dust. Again because they don't drop cloth anything, they dripped tile residue all over our laminate floors and steps,as they carried the fresh cut dripping wet tile throughout the house. The contractor also has unusual hours, usually they averaged 4 hours a day 10-2 which drags the job out longer while your house is ripped apart. His proposal did say 5 weeks but I assumed that was 8 hours a day but I was wrong. He is a very good plumber and he did a nice job installing our floors in the bathrooms. The tile lines in one bathroom were good but the tile job in the last shower he did was terrible,he even installed a tile that was chipped and tried to cover it with grout.I am also hiring another contractor to come in and regrout the shower because it is terrible. My biggest complaint is the lack of respect they showed to our house with their sloppy work. I would not recommend them if you value clean, timely work, you will spend a lot of time cleaning up after them.
