I would highly recommend Cromark to anyone who needs a good roofer! Ante is a good, hardworking,…read moreand honest man with excellent work ethics; he did a great job in repairing the cracks on our 3-year-old rubber roof and coating it. My neighbor had a bad leak last week because he didn't have his roof coated and the cracks repaired; and as a result, it costs him $10,000.00 to put in a new roof, new hardwood floor, repair the sheet-rock ceiling, and electrical which were damaged by the water. We are from Las Vegas and don't know any trustworthy roofers in our area so I'm glad I found Cromark Contracting LLC on the Internet. The photos that Ante took of our roof before and after the repair and coating were done helped us see the true condition of our roof, and therefore; we were able to make well-informed decisions on what kind of repairs were necessary. Through Ante, we found George's Auto Sales & Service, Inc., 6031 Harbison Ave., Philadelphia. The owner, Mike, did an excellent job on our car for auto body repair last week, so now we'll be going back to him for all our auto repair needs. We definitely have a friend in Ante, and he will always be our roofer. The fact that Cromark had so many positive reviews is what helped me pick him out of the many roofers on the Internet. Thank you again Ante for doing such a great job on our roof and referring us to Mike. We can now rest easy and not have to worry about getting any leaks on our roof especially when it snows.

Giuseppe redid our kitchen. New tile floors, new cabinets, electrical, appliances. I'll say this,…read morethey did show up and work every day. They did a good job with the flooring. Here is a list of the things that they messed up: 1. Cabinet doors damaged and misaligned. Some doors have already come loose. 2. All the caulking had to be redone around the entire room a month after they left because it all cracked and failed. 3. I had to complete the grout work myself. 4. Recessed lighting is out of alignment. Asked them to fix over and over but they couldn't get it right. 5. They don't paint or provide any information about painters. 6. The light above the stove has never worked. Tried replacing the bulb but that didn't help. Are they qualified to do electrical work? I wonder. The guy who was supposed to be in charge slept in his truck at lunch every single day. He was unfriendly, sullen, and frankly kind of a mean dude not to mention unskilled. He had zero people skills. Absolutely none. No way I'd do business with them ever again.

A Complete Tear Down and a Complete Transformation…read more This was my second project with Martin's Home Improvement and they exceeded my expectations AGAIN. This wasn't a simple remodel. My home is older, and once demolition began, it became clear that even the studs had to be removed. This turned into a complete tear down. Everything had to be rebuilt and re-leveled from the ground up. Watching the process, I truly realized how much structural knowledge and skill this project required. Tom literally rebuilt the space. He leveled everything properly and created a solid, beautiful foundation before a single finish went in. That alone gave me tremendous confidence. And then came the artistry. The floor-to-ceiling marbled porcelain tile is absolutely stunning. The tilers are true craftsmen -- their design, alignment, and placement are flawless. The shower is custom designed with a perfectly tiled floor, a coordinating niche backsplash, and a built-in seat that looks like it was meant to be there all along. The unique floating sink, elegant toilet, gorgeous lighting, perfectly matched mirror, and beautifully finished linen closet shelving all come together in a space that feels high-end, thoughtful, and completely custom. Tom needs to be cloned. His structural expertise, attention to detail, and vision are remarkable. Tom's craftsmanship is unmatched. This project could have been overwhelming given the age of my home and the scope of the rebuild -- but instead, it was handled with confidence, skill, and professionalism. All I can say is wow. Just wow. I would trust Martin's Home Improvement again without hesitation -- and clearly, I already have.

His work and product comes backed by the best warranty out there (backed by the manufacturer because IT recognizes how good B.E. Josh's work crew is incredibly hard working, friendly and conscientious. I think we had every crew on site at one point or another - roof, flat roof, windows, siding and the sub that provides the gutters to the B.E. Guys to install. ALL of them were great. They were respectful of our property and did a phenomenal job cleaning up. Everyone had warned me we would be finding tons of nails in the garden beds. I have a dog that runs free and I was worried sick. I'm also a huge gardener. I've been in those gardens continuously and around the house digging, taking and weeding and I have not found a single nail! Well done clean-up crew!

I gave my address and never heard back, so I moved on to another company. Today, 10 days after they never responded after I gave my address, while in the middle of a meeting, I hear a bang outside and my dog freaks out. I go outside to find two men with a ladder against the front of my house and climbing to the roof! I had no idea they were coming and they were fully on their way to climbing up my house without my permission! The problem wasn't even on the roof, so I have no idea what they would have done once they got up there. When I messaged the company to say I didn't appreciate them coming unannounced and unscheduled, I was told it was my fault for not specifying that I expected a call before they showed up! Wild. Do NOT send this company your address--even for an estimate--or else they may randomly show up to your house and climb up on your roof unannounced and they will go up there whether you are home or not. Then if it bothers you they will blame YOU!

I have found Marcy the owner is to be straightforward and honest, and though she can be a bit brusque at times, as she is in the Philadelphia roofing business I can understand. Their pricing is reasonable for quality of work. No roofer is cheap and if you apparently find one, don't trust them. We have a complicated roofscape (skylights, large AC unit mounts and penetrations, and major crickets required to clear drainage obstructions) and some leaking problems that predate our ownership. Castelli, and particularly their foreman Jimmy, have been generous in attending to drainage problems that may or may not have been a result of their work. I appreciate their work and the efforts made to help us negotiate our finicky roof.

We hired Mr. Contractor to completely renovate the kitchen and primary bathroom in our 130-year-old…read morePhiladelphia home, and we're thrilled with how everything turned out. When we were choosing a contractor, Mr. Contractor's Yelp rating gave me some hesitation - especially given the high ratings elsewhere. But when I read the reviews themselves rather than just looking at the overall rating, many of the complaints seemed to involve relatively small jobs. We needed someone for a large, complicated renovation of a very old house, and the experience and capabilities Ken demonstrated seemed much better suited to that kind of project. Having now completed the job, I'm very glad we made that distinction. This was a big project, and our old house threw plenty of surprises at us. Once the demo began, our engineer found that part of the kitchen needed to be structurally rebuilt from the foundation up. That meant coordinating with our architect and structural engineer and substantially expanded the work. Despite that and the many twists and turns that followed, Ken and his crew kept things moving and completed an extraordinary amount of work in just 10 weeks. What really stood out was the crew. These guys were craftsmen who took genuine pride in what they were building. More than once, they spent extra time on something simply to get the finished result just right or recommended enhancements that were not charged. A friend who is a high-end interior designer saw the kitchen afterward and was impressed by the quality of the construction and attention to detail. We also lived in the house throughout the renovation. The crew was friendly and respectful, and they cleaned up the work areas at the end of every day -- something we came to appreciate enormously during 10 weeks of construction. Was every little detail perfect the first time? No. But that's actually part of why I'm comfortable giving Ken five stars. When something wasn't right, he worked to make it right. He and his team stayed engaged through the end of the project, addressed our punch-list items, and have continued to stand behind their work afterward. And we LOVE the result. The kitchen has completely changed the way we live in the house. It has become the place where our family naturally gathers, and it's as comfortable and functional to cook in as it is beautiful. The new bathroom has been equally transformative. At the beginning, I worried that we might be spending too much on the project - and it was significant. But by the end, having seen the amount of work involved and the quality and care that went into it, I felt exactly the opposite: we received very good value for our money. My takeaway is that Ken's particular strength is a substantial, complex project where you need an experienced GC who can keep multiple trades moving, deal with unexpected conditions, solve problems as they arise, and see the whole thing through. Renovating a 130-year-old house isn't easy, and I'd much rather have a contractor who knows how to deal with the inevitable problems and stands behind the finished product. We'd happily hire Ken and Mr. Contractor again.
