Update - I ended up firing this company for a few reasons. After a while the owner started…read moretreating me like I was a burden because most of his pools are in BC. He would say that getting to my pool was a challenge for him. But I paid like any other customer. He also didn't always show up when he said he would and he missed a couple of weeks. When I tried to get a credit back for a week that he didn't show for he said there wouldn't be one due to a "5 week" month that didn't make any sense. He told me I needed a major repair that cost $900 to fix but then I found out recently by my new service provider that it wasn't needed at all. The repair that he did also caused additional issues that will require more fixing. He removed a pop up from my pool to get it replaced as under warranty but when I followed up a couple months later he said he never heard back from the supplier and now wanted to charge me $65 to replace it. These are the reasons for my updated review. By my experience he overcharges and is dishonest.

Then I tried another local service that came so highly recommended by a pool store here. He told me I might have to live with the stains in pool because it was copper not algae and he couldn't get it out. I was calling other pool guys and they were all equally terrible. So meanwhile I'm still stuck waiting patiently for two months l(!) for my pool to get clean. Finally I found the Freemans geez! Thank god- the shows over -no more bs, unreturned calls and weird excuses- my pool was sparkling ready in days. it took a lot of legit hard work too! They actually hand-cleaned the pool and check the chemicals for real -lol- and helped set up a bunch of other stuff too. Also cheaper than anyone else which seems to be the case in any industry because the best are always the honest and with such awesome service- the best!

He assured me that he had been doing this for years. I showed him the pool equipment and he started pressing buttons on my chlorinator and turning the pool pump on and off. Afterward, all the lights on the chlorinator began flashing red. I asked him to turn the lights back to green but he couldn't . I told him that I needed someone who could work on complicated systems, he called me a name and stormed off leaving the chlorinator lights flashing red. I would not use or recommend anyone who breaks someone's pool equipment and walks away.....who does that?

When that is necessary Bob always alerts me of the problem, provides an estimate of costs together with options, and then makes the approved repairs without delay. We have now relocated from Boulder City and hope that we find a new pool service that will match the performance of Bob Jones Pool Service.

He texts in advance of arrival, and answers all of my questions throughly 2) RESPONSIBLE- My #1 ask is to be an early early pool clean. I work from home and the hubbub of someone in the backyard freaks my dogs out, so it's good to get all of the excitement over before my workday begins. Martin and his staff (shout-out to the WONDERFUL Jordan Gonzalez!!) accommodate this SO WELL, and I'm just tickled to see them out there first thing Monday... THANK YOU THANK YOU you guys, you make my week start out perfectly1 3) HONEST- I didn't realize that I was accidentally overpaying (if you pay via Zelle as opposed to credit card you get a little discount) and Martin caught my mistake and made it right. I SO APPRECIATE that! 4) TRUE PROs- Martin caught a little leak from our filter tank when he first began service (my previous pool guy, who ghosted his entire client base for weeks when he hurredly moved out of town and didn't tell anyone), must've been ignoring it!). Martin patiently problem-solved with my husband, and took his time to consider the most economically conservative way of addressing the issue... resulting in a perfect fix that was mostly free!
