Dr. Erika Saucedo is a kind person, and when I found her and decided she was the right person to do my cataract surgery, I was impressed by her bedside manner and her enthusiasm. I thought it would be quick and simple. My husband had surgery for two cataracts last year somewhere else, and he did well, so I was very excited to be able to see again, due to the fact I am now the only person to drive in my family. Well, unfortunately, the doctor did not explain that I had a stigmatism and needed a different lens that would have cost an additional $2000 dollars. No person mentioned this at any time. All my senior friends with stigmatism never had any of my problems. So after the surgery, I had it January 23, by May 17, my sight went from 20/30 to 20/50 and it is getting worse and worse. I now can not see to drive or to read or to watch TV with subtitles, etc. etc. etc. I spoke to the doctor and she sent me to a Laser surgeon to pay $2200 out of pocket for correction, but I asked her to bill my medical for "medical surgery necessity" because the laser place expects me to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed. I called the manager of the company to speak to her about the issue, and to ask that the medical surgery information be sent to my insurance, due to the fact that this issue is not because of vanity, but medical necessity for sight. She never returned my calls. After another month, I called and made an appointment with the doctor to meet to discuss. The manager never showed up or participated in any of these meetings. I have waited another 3 weeks and finally last week, I heard from the manager stating that she would submit the paperwork. Again nothing done. I am very dissatisfied with the organization, the doctor is sweet and kind, but the manager is very incompetent and should be replaced by someone with logic, responsibility and functionality. Will update when something fixes the problem. Will now have to report organization and doctor to applicable Boards, BBBf and other places.

I work in San Bernardino, but I live in the San Gabriel Valley, so when I needed a doctor to check me out I opened up my trusty Yelp app and started searching. Yelp didn't let me down this time! Other than a little glitch at the front counter, which was easily resolved, the entire visit was outstanding. The staff were pleasant and empathetic. Dr. Huang was professional, thorough, and informative. I felt at total ease having him poke around my eye and make sure no foreign bodies were playing hide and seek in my eyelids like six year old boys. They were quite busy and the facility was clean and well kept. Totally comfortable place to visit in San Bernardino.

Dr. Frank Hwang does not play around and he's straight to the point. He's thorough and consistently gives me updates on my eye health. I especially appreciate that he conducts mapping tests and eye exams all in one day! Dr. Hwang is a true professional, and Loma Linda is lucky to have him. I also wanted to shoutout Jessica (the office coordinator) she's always super supportive, friendly and caring. I had to get a Corneal Cross-linking done here and she helped me find the necessary resources to ensure I got the procedure rolling. Dr, Hwang and his staff seriously care about people's health! The facility is always clean and easy to find. As soon as you walk into the Loma Linda Clinic/Office building it's a slight curve to the right and straight ahead. I highly recommend this office as they have up-to-date imaging and advanced technology. There's satellite clinics for the Eye Institute, but I recommend booking here as this is where all the main imaging and tests are ran.

I recently ended up with some foreign material in my eye. I immediately flushed it with saline and called it a day... or so I thought. After two days of continued irritation I was concerned enough to call and inquire about an appointment before the long Thanksgiving weekend, and was fortunate to get one same day. I must confess that I was a little apprehensive as I had never heard of the available doctor, but I was experiencing enough discomfort to give it a shot. Enter Dr. Marina Awadalla, O.D. I could not have had a more positive experience! Dr. Awadalla is congenial, knowledgeable, extremely kind, and very thorough. I am thankful (pun intended!) on this Thanksgiving Eve that I was fortunate enough to receive care from such a consummate professional. I would be remiss if I did not mention Jackie, a simply amazing assistant with the requisite personality and all of the professional qualities of anyone dedicated to medical care. And finally, Ashlynn (Sp?) does a great job assisting patients in the intake process. Bottom line: GREAT experience!!

What really stood out was how kind and patient she was with him. She made the entire visit fun and stress-free, and he actually enjoyed being there! So my moms choice was @ this office in Colton, CA We had to be here at 6 am, but the staff didn't open until 6:12 am. I know only 12 minutes late, but I'm the type of person you ask me to be one time. You should be on time, too! The front staff who was late wasn't the friendliest or welcoming. Then I asked her how long the surgery was going to be... She gave me a firm two hours. That surgery would be @ 7:30 to be back by 9:30am So I went home only to be called less than 30 minutes. That she was done and ready to be picked up. It was awesome that it was done, but I could have just stayed there. If she would have been better with the times. The doctor from Kaiser is amazing and did a wonderful job. The discharge nurse was also super helpful and friendly. Mom is recovering nicely. Overall, they get 3 stars. I'd definitely go with a Kaiser Permanente location instead of here if there's a next time.

This place deserves ZERO STARS!! I called to make an…read moreappointment for eye glasses at the Fontana location. The day of my appointment I was taken to room with multiple machines to check my eyes. After that, I was taken to another room to check my vision for a new prescription. Upon finishing the exams, I was informed that the optometrist would review the exam results and I would receive a call if he needed further testing. (I have never needed further testing for an eye glasses exam). I was told if I was going to use my insurance it would take approximately two months to receive the glasses. However, I could purchase glasses out of pocket and receive them much sooner. I decided to go with my insurance. After two months, I called weekly to ask about my glasses. It was always the same story IEHP takes long to have glasses ready. At month 3, I decided to walk in and ask for an explanation. The female receptionist was very kind. She said she would look into it and call me. When she called me, she said the glasses were lost in transit. She would order them again and I should receive them within 3 weeks. So different from the 2 month window I was given before. TWO weeks later I got a call that my glasses were ready. When I went to pick them up, they were the wrong prescription. The receptionist made an appointment for the following day for a recheck of my prescription. The day of my appointment there was someone other than the female receptionist I had seen the day before. The man in the office, said I didn't have an appointment. After going back and forth he agreed to take me in to do the recheck. He gave me something to sign and I noticed it asked how I would be paying. I asked him if I would be charged for this and he said no. He walked me back to the room with all of the machines. I asked why we were doing all of these exams again. He said. "It's been 3 months! Your eyes have changed." So, I asked if they're would be a charge for all of these exams again and he said "Yes". They were going to fraudulently going to charge my insurance again for their error. I decided at that point to stop the exam. I told him it was not ok for them to recharge my insurance for an error on their part and I left. I have filed a grievance with my insurance. I will not be returning to this place. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

She acted as if they were already cracked then gave me a pair of frames that fit my current lenses. I get home and try them on, and they are blurry since the frames are a different size. I then end up going to costco with the prescription this place gave me and got my glasses three days later with the wrong prescription. Im very upset because they gave me the wrong prescription and now I need to figure out what to do. Would recommend just going through costco even without insurance frames and lenses are significantly cheaper
