I strongly recommend NOT using this shop for anything beyond very minor work (at most an oil…read morechange). Before authorizing any significant repair, read the BBB complaints. I wish I had. En route to DEN airport, my steering tightened and car started smoking due to what appeared to be a serpentine belt issue. My roadside assistance allowed for 10 miles free towing, and I found Lucky Legend Automotive through Google. It was close by and reviews were fine. I spoke with Lance, who sounded confident he could fix it quickly and affordably. Based on that, I had the vehicle towed to his shop, which operates out of his personal garage at his home. Initially, things seemed reasonable. He replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner after a few hours, but the issue was not resolved. I left on my trip and he called me and told me the power steering pump was damaged and needed replacement. I authorized the repair and paid approximately $1,600 total ($565 by credit card when I was in person and $1,056 via Venmo at his request). The pump itself was billed at $593, which I later learned was significantly marked up. After more than a week, I picked up my vehicle. The power steering wasn't working and steering was extremely tight. I was told it would "loosen up with driving." I drove the car home without power steering. He also left an unsealed bottle of power steering fluid in the car, which leaked onto my floor mat. The next day, I took the car to Stevinson Toyota West for a second opinion. They diagnosed that the power steering rack and lines were damaged because the system was not properly cleaned when the pump was replaced. Debris from the failed pump contaminated the system and destroyed the rack. The repair cost me roughly $4,500 including a rental car. I texted Lance, explained the diagnosis, and asked if the dealership could remove the pump and whether he would refund it. He explicitly agreed in writing. Based on that authorization, I had the work done. We agreed I could bring the old pump back for a refund. When I brought the pump back to him, his position changed. He claimed he owed me nothing and offered a $100 credit toward future work instead. He then began citing what can only be described as incorrect and threatening "legal" language, claiming he was not liable and referencing clauses he misunderstood or misapplied--even though I had his written authorization to proceed with repairs elsewhere. He said his vendor would not accept it back since another shop took it out (which he confirmed was fine to do) and told me he was "dead broke" but promised verbally to make it right. That never happened. Separately, my AirTag went missing from my keychain. He admitted he threw it into bushes near his house because he thought he was being tracked. It was never recovered or replaced as he had promised. He told me to reach out to him in a couple of weeks and he'd make it right. After this, he blocked my phone number.. The only reason he contacted me again was after I filed a credit card chargeback. At that point, he doubled down, again claiming no responsibility, and stated via text that although he was aware of our prior conversations, he had been impaired when making those promises and was "not thinking clearly." That statement alone should concern anyone trusting this person with their vehicle. Bottom line: I paid $1,600 for work that did not fix the problem, contributed to further damage, and required thousands more to repair. A refund was promised in writing and later denied. Communication stopped once money was requested back, and legal intimidation replaced accountability. I support small businesses and independent shops, and I did not want to write this review. But I feel misled, overcharged, and stonewalled. Based on my experience, this is not a reliable or trustworthy business for major automotive repairs.

The shock part number is a AC Delco 540-5063 which range from $80-120. Autozone has them for under $100. I understand shops need to make money on parts, but this is just a complete rip off. When I approved it over the phone I thought the $247.11 was a set, not each. Then they tried to tell me this ac delco shock is some sort of professional grade this and that all, bs and lies. Im guessing they paid $60-70 bucks for them. Invoice and pictures are below. I went back after I picked it up and they just told me this is a special professional grade shock cause I wanted gm. I asked for the part number which he gave me. This place has such good reviews also so I was surprised. They guys at autozone and o rilley were also very surprised when I showed them the invoice and the shocks they put on. So maybe the owner will make this right with me and I can delete this review. If not beware of these shaddy practices cause the proof is in the pictures. Yes I do take fault for approving this and not asking more questions at the time they called me. I should of looked into it and asked for a part number before i approved. Lesson learned and I still think they ripped me off with the price of the shocks. Im going to continue to post on Facebook, next-door, yelp wherever I can to warn people about how much they are up charging on parts

I do not recommend CB at all. Especially if you're a solo female…read more I only write this in hopes it helps someone else to make an informed decision. I have to suck up my losses and accept responsibility of trusting when I knew better. I let my guard down and trusted CB. Huge mistake on my part. For a few years I trusted they were doing me right. Around end of November 2025, I was told that the noise my vehicle was making was shocks, I asked numerous times that if they were sure shocks would fix the noise and that was all it needed-was told over and over- yes. Because something was really starting to feel off, is why I asked numerous times. After shocks were put on it still made some noise and some days worse. I was sent a 'how was your experience' by the owner, Dan West. I replied with my concerns. I never heard anything back from anyone. Crickets. I called CB and was met with some resistance from Scott but, he told me to bring it in. Supposedly a tag or something was left in and it was a 'humorous' moment and that was causing the noise. Which It was not. I was starting to feel iffy with CB and went elsewhere for an oil change to be shown a demolished plug and it was in way too tight. That mechanic finally managed to get it out (I watched through the window) Only CB had been doing my oil changes. So it left me asking a few questions about oil changes. And why wasn't I informed about the plug? I dreaded calling CB about the noise due to they meet you with resistance and an attitude- I had to finally call because it was so bad. And yes, I was met with resistance and authoritative attitude from Scott. They wouldn't do a refund because shocks were under warranty but I could get the shocks replaced again. Made no sense if that didn't resolve it before but, apparently my only option. I took my vehicle in and dealt with that condescending attitude and Shaun(?) and another guy lifted my vehicle and went right to the actual problem rather quickly, including the bearing(?) Which made me think, they knew all along. I asked about the shocks and I was told that because of the (hydraulic fluid?) was holding the control arms up just enough to eliminate some of the noise. And now it's low due to the pressure of the control arms(?) it's low again. I was authoritatively informed that I did need shocks and they would not be changing them out because they were still good. But, yet they just said the new ones were low on fluid now or pushed down(?)... And the noise was horrid again, so what is that saying about the shocks this time if before they supposedly didn't have this fluid in them? And I was told due to the control arms, it would have drained(?) the fluid and why the noise was so bad again. They contradicted themselves. And how could they not have known it wasn't shocks making that noise when they were replacing them if it were so obvious it was the control arms and a bearing? I've been looking back on some questionable moments I've had and now asking- if they feel they can get away with it and do bare minimal work on your vehicle (or none at all) and still charge you for it. And/or tell you that something needs done when it does not. I undoubtedly do believe they would, hands down. I was taken to the office by Shaun(?) and given a quote to fix the control arms and I believe a ball bearing. He made it sound that they were doing a customer service by discounting the shocks from the total. Which was less than what I paid. He reprinted a new quote with a slight disgust. I also noticed an "other fees" charge. I wondered if that charge was always there. I didn't bother asking for obvious reasons and I already knew I would not be coming back from all I experienced and observed. It was enough. I highly recommend staying away from them. They may appear to be super friendly and only there to help- it's super fake and they are deceptive. They are more than happy to take your money and good luck if anything goes wrong after. It's more of a lure for the love of the piggy bank for them.

From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease speaking with your service writer, Bruce P. It felt like chatting with a good friend--he genuinely listened to my concerns about the truck and welcomed my input without dismissing any of it. When I received the bill, it was a bit higher than I expected, but I understood that the work was necessary. As I've said before, you get what you pay for. Sure, I could've gone to "Bob's Auto Shop" for a lower price, but I wouldn't have received the same level of expertise or the warranty that Christian Brothers offers. What really impressed me was the turnaround time. I dropped off my truck on a Wednesday, hoping to take my family camping that weekend--a big ask, I know. But Bruce and the mechanic, Ken M., made it happen. They got the truck ready in time, and I couldn't be more grateful. Christian Brothers Rocks ! ! ! !

Got it back after a few short days and will be getting some further work done as time goes on. In his later years maintenance and repairs had been let go but being sturdy and strong running, I bought it and am slowly bringing it up to snuff and it is good in the event I should need to do any long distance traveling with it. . Attended the new shop opening, located just off I-25 and Colorado route 66, where I met Mr. Maggio's family and some of the other customers who call Hands On Autotech their home for vehicle repair and servicing. I first went there based on the recommendation of the Martino troubleshooter show on 630 KHOW AM radio; 10 AM - 2PM, M-F. My opinion is that Tom's shop takes something of a scientific approach to vehicle repair and will go more in depth with an analyses than another shop I had been to for an issue with my '99 Tahoe. As an EV owner himself I gather that Tom is up on the current tech, perhaps more than some other places who would have men of my age (68) from the "dinosaur era" of automotive tech working at their shops.

There was a problem with the communication surrounding the tow transfer so I started my experience with Hands on Auto Tech with some trepidation. Tom handled the situation and we moved onto the real problem with my truck. The diagnosis was the clutch so I approved the repair and waited a few days for the parts to arrive and the repair to proceed. After the clutch was replaced another problem with the operation of the clutch was discovered so I agreed to the additional repair and another day for repair. After a week I was reunited with my truck. The repair was costly, lengthy and unexpected but coming out the other side of this experience I learned a couple of lessons. 1. If you have your vehicle towed to a shop follow the tow truck to the shop and verify the transfer. 2. Communication and follow up throughout the repair are key Tom was great to deal with and I feel that he was honest with me about the repairs needed and the cost of those repairs. Having recently moved to the area I feel my vehicle maintenance and repair needs can be checked off the list. I can recommend Hands on Auto Tech to anyone needing an honest repair facility and Tom as a good guy to deal with.

NEVER. GO. HERE These guys are thieves and goons…read more Literally go anywhere else. I have never felt compelled to write a review for a business until the HORRIBLE experience I have had at Mud's Tires. They've got GOONS working there and this shop should be avoided at all costs. Earlier this year, I brought my Jeep into Mud's to see what it would take to get my check engine light turned off. Well, 14k later, my check engine light is still on. This is the most back-alley and illegitimate mechanic shop I have ever dealt with and I am embarrassed I ever went here. After having to bring my Jeep back into this shop and having it stay over night there for a total of 60 days this year, I decided to cut my losses and accept that these dirtbags were never actually going to honor their "warranty." Mud's claims to have a warranty for all work performed but they won't actually honor that, when you inevitably have to bring your car back in when their shotty mechanic work immediately fails. They will try and convince you that you have to spend more money with them to actually fix the problem this time. They will pretend to work on your car while they keep it for a few days/weeks and you are without a way of getting around. This happened to me and when I complained to the owner he tried to gaslight me and tell me the issues I was having with my Jeep, after paying him thousands, were somehow my fault? I've attached a screenshot of the convo to this review, in which the owner of the shop tells me "I'm not your daddy," after I complained to him about the mechanical work the goons he's got working in there did on my Jeep. Also, I recommend scrolling down a few reviews to read about one customers experience at Mud's in which she over hears the owner complaining about "blacks." This is the kind of shop Mud's is. NEVER GO HERE. They will rob you and your car will run worse than it did before you brought it in. The owner will act like he's your friend and that he's giving you a deal. Run. He's a hustler and don't fall for his tricks. He is not your friend and he will rob you blind if you give him the chance. Lastly, I asked the owner for a 6k refund after his goons essentially totaled my Jeep and he said he would sue me for defamation if I gave him a bad review. I've attached a screenshot of that interaction with him as well. Apparently customers take him to court often? Go to a real shop that can actually honor their warranty and has actual licensed mechanics.
