We had a problem with our a/c unit going out on a house we purchased 3 months ago. We had purchased a home warranty during the transaction, so we contacted the company & filed a claim. They sent one vendor who swapped a fuse then couldn't figure out the problem. So they sent Dr. Tom. He visited a couple times and decided a board needed replacing. That was the last we saw of him. Over a week ago the warranty company called us to let us know Dr. Tom had the replacement part in his possession. So I called him and left him a voicemail to find out when he'd be around to finish the job. No response, no callback. I called the next morning & left another VM. Nothing. I called again, another VM. Again no response, no visit. I made multiple phone call attempts to Dr. Tom. The *one* single time I was able to speak to him, he griped me out for leaving "nasty" voicemails. Now, the word "nasty" implies that I was cursing him out, threatening him, and/or yelling at him. I did none of those things. Was I frustrated after leaving multiple VMs? Absolutely 100%. Did my tone reflect my frustration? You bet. But was I "nasty" to him? Hardly. Today I called the warranty company to find out if he had updated his status on our claim somehow. They were able to get in touch with him, whereupon he informed them that he would not be repairing our a/c unit. No notifications to us whatsoever. He had a replacement part in his possession for about a week, and did not make any efforts to come fix it that entire time.
I'm posting this review so that the public can be made aware of Dr. Tom's practices and not fall victim to them. read more
