We called Tuffy, talked to Todd Williamson, and got what we thought was a reasonable quote, took the car in on the following Saturday, and they were very quick with the replacement. They also caught a few other things that needed attention and we authorized them to go ahead with those. I was very impressed with their professionalism and I highly recommend them.

Cedar Falls Tuffys is the worst auto shop I have ever been to. we had our can towed there because…read moreit wouldn't start. they said it needed a new starter. we got it home and it wouldn't start. we towed it back there, they fixed some wiring to the starter and said we might need a new battery. We got it home and the next time we used it, it didn't start. we called them and they said we need to try to jump it before towing it again, as it must be a defective battery since we didn't get it from them. I said I will NOT be towing it again. We towed it somewhere else and they said it needed a new starter. sparks were flying everywhere from it. Tuffys will NOT stand by their shoddy work.

I decided to place a request on Yelp for someone to give us a estimate on the repairs. Thirty minutes later I received an e-mail estimate from Elijah from Whitley Automotive. The estimate was more than reasonable and we brought the car to him to repair later that week. The job was done in a timely fashion and we went ahead and asked him if he could do an oil change as well. He said give him an hour and the car was ready to be picked up.
