Shortly after we moved here, I figured out Cavender's was the place to go. Fast forward 18 months, and we finally got around to coming here on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was easy and the store is large, but the section of women's boots is a bit small and was definitely crowded-bench spots were at a premium. Seems to me they could move some of the women's boots into the men's area (which was huge) and they really need more spots to sit. It's pretty tough trying on boots while standing.... The staff were really helpful though. I was concerned that my thicker calves wouldn't fit into very many boots, but I was wrong, I didn't not have much issue with that. After much deliberation (poor hubby), I settled on a brown pair with a subtle red design and made my purchase, for less than hubby worried about, so he was happy. This is the go-to place for your Cowgirl/Cowboy needs. Not sure I need anything else now, but I know where to go if I do and now have the perfect pair of boots for Go Texan Day.

This is the second time I have had an issue with Republic Boot Co., and unfortunately neither…read morematter has been resolved. The first incident occurred in 2024 when I purchased a pair of Houston Boots. My order included custom white initials on a black boot pull-up strap. The boots were delivered with the customization completed incorrectly. Republic Boot Co. acknowledged the mistake and offered to send me a boot-cleaning kit as compensation. However, I never received the kit. Despite follow-up phone calls and emails, I received no response and the matter was never resolved. The second incident involves a promotion advertised through the Shop App stating that customers who spent $600 would receive $350 in store credit. I made a qualifying purchase based on that offer, but the promised credit never appeared in my account. I contacted Republic Boot Co. twice by email seeking clarification and resolution, but more than a month later I have received no response. Because I was unable to obtain a response directly from the company, I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Office of the Attorney General. My frustration stems not only from the unresolved issues themselves, but from the consistent lack of communication and follow-through. Republic Boot Co. produces beautiful products, but in my experience, promises made to customers have not been honored, and customer service concerns have gone unanswered. I cannot recommend the company based on my experiences. It appears this lack of interest in customers, whether online or in person, is appalling.

Adam R. did an excellent job walking us through every detail, answering questions, and making us feel completely comfortable. Highly recommend if you're ready to dive into a true Texan experience and invest in custom western apparel.

This is the Journeys shoe store in Humble, at the good old Deerbrook, an old school mall to say the least, and one which is a lower price mall. On July 30th, I was told my item would be shipped to my address within 30 days. However, it is now September 16th and I was told the process was never initiated AND my item still needs to be reviewed with internal partners for an update that will take 7-10 more business days. When I requested basic information such as the current location of my item, the applicable commission rate for compensation if they misplaced it , and a reason of what went wrong the company and its staff responded that they have "no further updates" on either point. I have not received confirmation that my item is accounted for, what the next steps actually are, or who is responsible for resolving this. They keep re-sending the same emails and not answering a single question. This is not the level of service or security I expect when entrusting someone with my valuable personal property. At this point, I have no visibility into where my item is, what is being done about it, or what I will be compensated if they cannot process it. Their consignment concierge team of Jasmyne, Mika, and Toya are unprofessional, careless, and simply awful. I regret that I ever came across them and pray to God no one ever has the same experience I've had. Hopefully I get my item back or that's $1800 down the drain because of their carelessness and irresponsibility. I'm truly sick to my stomach.
