Dr. Fike has been coming to my house and treating our animals for many years. We started with him at Greenway Pet Clinic when our dog went into a seizure. He wasn't coming out of it and we rushed him there. Dr. Fike took good care of him and helped us transport him to a better hospital for his condition. Dr. Fike has put down two of our dogs. When we lost the dog we raised from a puppy he was there with us crying. He knew how much she meant to us and how grateful we were to him for being with us. I got my first dog this year. She was a puppy and the good doctor gave her all her puppy shots as well as recommendations for spaying. The man is a dog lover through and through. He loves to help dogs and is passionate about his work and clients. He knows all our animals and is willing to answer any questions I have through text or email. He's a great man and a great veterinarian. read more

Dr Fike helped us with our dog Fuzzy. He is a compassionate and trustworthy veterinarian and wonderful with our pets and highly recommended for all services at home, including euthanasia at home which he did for us. read more

We called several places to have our dog euthanized at home due to a sudden major seizure and coma, the week before Thanksgiving Nov 2021. All were booked up. The Humane Society referred us to St. Francis Veterinary Group, Dr. Fike, and he drove over in 40 minutes. Can't recommend him highly enough. He was very kind, gentle with our dog, and very skilled. Also, his fee was reasonable. He helped us so much to get through a very sad situation. J. Mulholland, RN, and retired NP. read more

Do not use Lee Fike for euthanasia. He euthanized two of my cats. The first time there was no problem. But the second time was horrible. I wanted to euthanize my cat in our garden, which is surrounded by a six foot wall. But he said no and absolutely insisted on euthanizing my cat in the bathroom. My cat hated the bathroom, because that is where we gave her her medication. She loved being outside, loved our garden, but Fike said he was scared she'd run away -- again, the garden was enclosed by a six foot wall. I should have continued to fight him, but I was so worn down and vulnerable from the sorrow of losing my cat and from my family's sorrow, I couldn't. He never should have taken advantage of me that way. He should have done as I asked. But no. Not Lee Fike. So now I have to spend the rest of my life knowing I let my cat down; I let her die in a room she hated and feared. I cannot express how much I dislike Dr. Fike, how much I resent him for this. I don't trust him and I don't recommend him. read more

Dr. Fike has helped us say goodbye to a number of our beloved animals who needed a hand when passing. He's always gentle, compassionate, and present. Being able to help our animals over the rainbow bridge in our own home and in such expert hands has been a gift. read more

If I could give Fike a 0 that would be the rating. His machine says leave a message or text well, I have been doing both for a week and I have been completely ignored. He is to busy traveling around the world with his wife. I can't understand how he sleeps at night. This is not a Dr. devoting there time and effort helping animals. read more

I started with Dr. Fike when he was at Greenway pet clinic many, many years ago. My 15 + year old dog needed to be freed from her vestibular disease, so I called my regular vet. No one was available for a couple of days, and I couldn't stand seeing her suffer fo another day. They gave me a list of vets that could do it. I saw Dr Fikes name on the list and remembered his name from years ago, and he was a great vet, always kind and gentle with my dogs. I called and he said he could come that day. He came, we talked about everything, I said a prayer, he said a prayer, and we let her go. It was very peaceful, we both cried, and said goodbye. In the middle of the night, I had a weird feeling that he knew my dog when she was a puppy. I pulled out my records, and sure enough, it was Dr. Fike who gave her her first physical, and spayed her at Greenway! We had come full cycle! I called him the next morning and told him, he was thrilled that I called to tell him, and was very emotional. I have had nothing but good from him over the years! read more

To the person saying Lee was not gentle for euthanasia is incorrect. He helped my put down my Gigi One (now have Gigi two) and was very considerate. I of course was in tears and so upset but Lee did his best for my Gigi and me. read more

I would and have already recommended Dr. Fike. He is a caring, gentle, and kind man who helped my Cooper onto his next life. Thank you Dr. Fike for being there with my family during that incredibly hard time. read more

My experience was very good when Dr Fike came to euthanize my lab of 15 years. He explained to me the series of shots she would receive to calm her and prepare her for the final injection. He spoke to my dog the entire time while I held and petted her. He calmly told her what a good dog she had been. I was very please with the time he took, both with us and with our dog. I was the one that actually got up to write him a check so he could leave and our family could grieve. His prices were reasonable and he was very accommodating in working with us to find a time for all our family members be present. I plan to use him in the future for our other pets medical needs. The ease of a home visit both on me (trying to transport a sick cat or dog) and less stress for the animal makes Dr Fike a favorite on mine. Sharon H. Tucson read more

Our Jingles had been treated by Dr. Miller and Dr. Samuels for 15 years. It was becoming increasingly difficult to take her to the vet due to her weak legs and bladder. Dr. Samuel's office recommended Dr. Fike to us, and he started working with our family in April of 2011. Through this process Dr. Fike gave Jingles excellent care and also helped our family deal with her declining health. Jingles was kept comfortable all the way to the end, and Dr. Fike always had time to give us words of wisdom and help me with her treatments. He did everything in his power to help Jingles and our family with this sad but inevitable conclusion. We decided to put her sleep on November 1, 2011. He spoke to me on the phone for quite some time to help us cope with this sad event. When he arrived he looked just as sad as our family did. He spoke to the entire family and gave Jingles a sedative. As he did he spoke and petted Jingles. She was never in any discomfort and went to sleep. He gave her a muscle relaxant then the final shot and she quietly passed away. Dr. Fike helped us carry her out to her grave and helped us bury her. My kids said he had tears in his eyes. We are so happy that he was Jingles' vet for the last year of her life. Even though we did not want to let her go, it was a quiet and peaceful ending. We cannot thank Dr. Fike enough for the excellent care he gave our dog. He was our pet's doctor, our counselor, our friend, and he will have a permanent place in our hearts. You could never find anybody better to care for your pets than Dr. Fike. read more

Dr. Fike may be o.k. for routine pet care but DON'T have him assist with a euthanasia procedure for your animals. I have gone to Vet. offices before to say goodbye to my pets and had very nice experiences but this time chose to do it at home only because my beloved dog of 15yrs was afraid to get in the car after her playmate passed on 9 yrs. prior. He appeared preoccupied when he arrived and rather than sit down with me and explain how he planned things to go and see if I had any questions, he basically said where is your dog so we can get started. My dog was in our bedroom and he followed me in and opened his bag up to get started and I told him I didn't want to do it in our bedroom and had planned to do it in the family room on her bed. So I walked my dog out and he followed and then he told me where I could be when he gave the shot which was in front of her but I wasn't to be on either side. I did as I was told and then he proceeded. The dog yelped and jerked when he gave the initial sedative and he became clearly irritated and stated for me to get away from the dog. I stated that it was o.k. I wasn't worried about her biting me or hitting me and he repeated for me to move away from the dog. When he began to inject the rest of the sedative again he said "now we will all be calm and there will be no yelling" There was no yelling in the first place and I just continued to pet my girl and tell her how much I loved her. He then apologized and stated my dog probably had pain in other areas and was just hypersensitive to the injection. Not a very patient man during a very difficult time for a pet owner. I have been a nurse for over 25yrs and deal with the sick/nervous and dying public daily along with their families and would never dream of treating anyone the way he did me and my dog. He wasn't professional and didn't once try to console me or my dog. He shook my hand when he walked in and shook it when he left. I can't believe this guy is still a practicing veterinarian. Maybe at one point in his career he was compassionate but I think he has lost it. And if by chance he was just having a bad day I wish I would have known as I would have canceled the euthansia. I know he does this sort of thing all the time but got the feeling it is becoming "Old Business" for him. I won't be recommending him to anyone. Some may read this and say "oh the owner was probably just overly emotional " but trust me that wasn't the case and we even paid him $175.00. The only consolation I have is I know I was there holding my sweet girl when she passed on. read more

Had in home euthanasia for my cat. Horrible for the cat and me. He didn't seem to care about anything except getting it over with. The cat ran with the needle and syringe in her neck. At one point I said I didn't want to continue. He told me I'd have to deal with a sedated cat. I went ahead with it. Wish I hadn't. This was the worse pet euthanasia. I've had to euthanize many cats over the last 30 years. Don't do home euthanasia with this guy. read more

I am startled by the reviews here. Lee Fife came to my sister's house to help her dog through her end of life. He was compassionate, thoughtful, and effective. The process took awhile (she was a hyper dog and she did not take to the sedative and needed a second injection). He gave us as much time as we needed to say good-bye and he even sang to her as she settled in. The plan was to bury her in the backyard and he talked my sister through the mechanics of the project and did so in the most tasteful manner. He offered to help. I cannot imagine a more caring individual. read more

Lee Fike was my vet for about 2.5 years. He was okay at first and I thought he was knowledgeable. He did speak a great deal about himself and his skills but when it came to treatment for my pet that was not just a blood draw or a shot. he was incompetent. He was unable to provide compassionate and caring treatment to my pet and was abrupt with me because I was upset and concerned about my sick pet. He showed nothing but impatience and sold me "products" that were half the price online and ended up having no scientific studies to back up their claims. I was unable to reach him at one point because he was out of town. When he got back he never returned my calls and i mean calls. He overcharges for all services and really doesn't let you know in advance what the perimeters are. He talked, as mentioned above, a lot and charged me for the time he spent discussing himself and anything else besides the condition of the pet he was treating. All in all I started out okay with him and as I got to know him I disliked him immensely. His ego is way too large. There are other reputable housecall vets like Drew Stearn, Allen Christo and Dennis at Cactus Creek. These men are very good at what they do and they know animals as well as knowing how to treat the people who pay them. read more
