I am leaving this review to share my frustrating experience with Dr. Critter's rat removal service. After paying $2,700 for what was supposed to be a comprehensive attic exclusion with a one-year warranty, I ended up feeling completely let down. When rat activity returned just a month and a half later, the company refused to honor their warranty in any meaningful way. They came out, checked only the exact spots they originally sealed, and then told me that since those particular spots were still intact, the warranty didn't cover anything else. Essentially, they're using the warranty as a way to avoid responsibility for any missed entry points. If they missed sealing three out of eight possible entry locations, for example, they won't return to fix those misses without charging extra. Their "solution" is to just charge more for additional trapping, which isn't a real fix if the entry points remain open. In short, the one-year warranty feels like a complete scam. They're not standing behind their work, and I'm left dealing with the same problem I paid them to solve. I'd strongly advise others to be cautious before using this service read more

I spent a total of $4,522 for Dr. Critter's "services" in order to remove a rodent problem in one of my homes (and an additional $1,830 of contractor work to fix areas of the home that Dr. Critter claimed was the source of the rodent problem). And after 8 long months and thousands of dollars spent, the rodent problem was never resolved. There was still the same amount of rodent activity after all the "work" they did as their was prior to it, if not MORE. I decided to completely drop Dr. Critter's services two months ago and looked elsewhere since their methods were ineffective. After finding a competitor (Proteck Wildlife Solutions), they were able to identify all the areas that Dr. Critter missed and even told me the areas in which Dr. Critter said were problem entry points were not problems at all. After using Proteck Wildlife Solutions, there has been NO RODENT ACTIVITY FOR ALMOST A MONTH IN THE HOUSE. Dr. Critter initially charged me $2,957 for an Exclusion, Removal, Bioremediation, and Misc Fixes. After just two weeks, the rodents returned. What exactly did I pay thousands of dollars for? They then proceeded to tell me there were entry points on the siding of the house, but they would not be able to make those fixes and I had to hire a contractor to make said fixes. Why was that issue not found on the initial assestment? Dr. Critter also mentioned that the siding had to be sealed off COMPLETELY and that every other area they took care of was fine. I consulted with THREE different siding contractors and each one specifically told me that sealing off the siding completely would be a hazard when it rains as it would cause the area to be prone to flooding and that they would not seal it off completely for liability reasons. Because the contractors (rightfully) would not seal off the siding, Dr. Critter said they would continute to charge me for trapping services instead of honoring the "warranty" I had for the $2,957 in services since they were entering an area they did not work on. They then charged me for $1,411 for 20 days of trapping, saying that they are entering through the siding and nothing can be done if that is open (which Proteck Wildlife Solutions proved was WRONG. There were multiple entry points in the roof that Dr. Critter did not seal. Once Proteck sealed those off, there was NO roden activity for a month. Proteck didn't mention the siding as an issue AT ALL). Also multiple times, Dr. Critter would leave "complimentary traps" in the attic that would be set off by rodents, but would not let myself nor my tenants know that they left these traps in the home. When I asked if they would pick up the traps, they said they would charge a $95 service fee. Why would you leave traps without telling me, and then expect me to pay a service fee to have them removed? I do not recommend using Dr. Critter for any of their services. Their communication with me was absolutely poor. They continued to charge me for services that had no real resolve. For a company claiming to be "wildlife removal experts", they seem to be far from it. Do yourself a favor and go with Proteck Wildlife Solutions if you have rodent issues. read more

We've been with Dr. Critter for more than 6 years now. Their mitigation measures are effective and if I ever have a problem, they respond quickly. Since development of a previously forested property nearby, many "critters" have invaded our neighborhood and my yard. After researching wildlife removal companies online, I found Dr. Critter and its great reviews. I needed removal of opossums, raccoons, and armadillos. They came out and over 3 days trapped and relocated more than 9 adult "critters" over a 3 day period. The work was completed expertly and quickly by professional, common sense oriented, and friendly company members who took the time to explain exactly what they were doing, why they were doing it, what I could expect, and answered all other questions I had. It is shocking how much damage squirrels in your attic can do. I learned the hard way when my ceiling ended up on my floor & my house was flooded because a squirrel in my attic chewed through a pipe - 3 times in 10'days. I wish I had called Dr Critter before I incurred $5000 in damage to my house. Steve is the pro that has all the answers - he sent his technician Aaron out to my house &'on day 1 traps were set, an eviction cage was installed & the house was inspected for openings that allowed the rodent access to my attic & my pipes. Aaron sealed every opening & monitored the traps to ensure my home was rodent free & well sealed. These guys were great. The noises in our attic didn't scare them a bit! It was easy to get an appointment and it didn't take them long to determine that the noise was coming from rats that had decided to call our attic home. They made numerous trips out to check the traps and remove the deceased critters so smell didn't then become a problem. After it was safe to seal up the entry point they did and checked the outside for any other possible way that might be a problem in the future. After everything was secure we finally got a good night's sleep. The crew was professional, polite and prompt. They will always be our "go to" guys if we ever encounter a need again. We had three invasive Muscovy ducks on our pond out back that were chasing away the hooded merringers , eating the fish food we threw to the fish and were laying eggs trying to get their family started. We called Dr. Critter. Steve initially came out and wanted to be sure that they would come right up to us so he could come back and feed them a bread and buttered sleep agent. He and two very friendly and knowledgeable associates came back to catch the ducks and move them to a egg laying farm in central florida. Steve gave the ducks the sleep agent but the biggest duck needed a double dose. They spent a couple hours with us waiting for the ducks to quietly go to sleep, as well as educating us on a variety of critters. They even brought a kayak in case the ducks fell asleep in the water. These guys were very professional, highly educated about wildlife, and did a great job at a reasonable price. My wife and I highly recommend. read more

Steer clear, he will come out for a $ 55.00 fee to tell you something you already know and then tell you it will be credited towards the service. So now to take a rat out of my soffit he will put a trap over the hole and wait till the rodent is trapped. He will come back remove the animal and then probably use a plant sprayer to remove any animal odor and then take a piece of screen oh and yes it's galvanized which I think in his mind is gold plated. So for a piece of screen 4 by 6 inches and some spray probably bleach it will all cost wait for it! $675.00 so now you say are f------ crazy? But guess what cause you signed his inspection contract you still owe him the $55.00 to do nothing lawyer fees who is the rat here? read more
