I am leaving this review to share my frustrating experience with Dr. Critter's rat removal service…read more After paying $2,700 for what was supposed to be a comprehensive attic exclusion with a one-year warranty, I ended up feeling completely let down. When rat activity returned just a month and a half later, the company refused to honor their warranty in any meaningful way. They came out, checked only the exact spots they originally sealed, and then told me that since those particular spots were still intact, the warranty didn't cover anything else. Essentially, they're using the warranty as a way to avoid responsibility for any missed entry points. If they missed sealing three out of eight possible entry locations, for example, they won't return to fix those misses without charging extra. Their "solution" is to just charge more for additional trapping, which isn't a real fix if the entry points remain open. In short, the one-year warranty feels like a complete scam. They're not standing behind their work, and I'm left dealing with the same problem I paid them to solve. I'd strongly advise others to be cautious before using this service

Despite having paid them handsomely for bait boxes, traps, vent pipe covers, etc etc, to prevent the entry of the rats, they failed miserably, except to cash my checks. After we explained to Dave, the technician, where we heard the noises, he went up to the attic, found raccoon poop all around, took photos for us to see to what was there. A mess. He explained that this was unusual and the raccoon must have had babies there. This was probably true because then when we checked the ceiling of the two rooms under the attic, we saw several wet spots where they urinated. He explained what needed to be done to restore the attic. All the insulation had to be removed, the attic had to be professionally cleaned, disinfected and new insulation installed. In addition, the access point where the raccoon came in had to be repaired. Dave and his assistant returned many times to accomplish all this. Also, they tightly covered all roof vents and openings with secure screening to prevent any animal from gaining access anywhere. Through the entire process Dave and his assistant were great, punctual, very thorough, courteous, and professional. They adhered to safety procedures wearing protective equipment through the process. We highly recommend Dave from Critter Control of Sarasota for dealing with any wildlife problems.

We appreciate the removal and cleanup he performed. A male raccoon accessed our attic via some flashing near a soffit corner that wasn't reinforced. The following week, after making certain there was only one critter involved, Brandon reinforced the flashing tile to tie in to the soffit. I failed to understand the work would be done from the outside when he gave his explanation. He replied promptly to my query, when I followed up with him. While I wish the reinforcement work could have been done inside, in order to retain the original aesthetic, I am thankful that the problem is resolved.
