Full disclaimer, I only came here to get my headlights covered with a clear bra because I had issues with my '14 BMW 3-series headlights getting chipped and damaged. About 3-4 years ago I came to this shop asking if they could add clear bra to my headlights as I've had previous friends add clear bra to their bumpers for additional protection. The owner (I believe Ken) had shared with me that they don't really do headlight tinting, and upon assessing my headlights he said they would need to sand down and polish the cracks on the surface before even adding any film/tint. He mentioned that his son would most likely be able to address the issue I had and was very transparent in sharing that the headlights would not look brand new even after completion. I was fine with his assessment, as I was more interested in preventing the headlights from receiving more damage and wanted to proceed with getting the clear bra added. After a couple hours of leaving my car at the shop, I came back and saw that they did a remarkable job! Not only were my headlights polished and covered with a protective film, but they sanded down most of the cracks to the point where you would need to look closely to see any of the damage. I was a bit hesitant about the quality of the film but it's been about 4 years now and the clear bra has never bubbled or budged, and helps keep the headlights from having the haze of an aging car. Well worth the investment, and forgot to drop them a review at the time of the service. Lifetime warranty. Picked up my calls every time. I had originally scheduled the appointment for a Saturday. I had an opening during the weekday afternoon and they rescheduled me without issue on the same day. They recommend doing it in the rain since there's a lot less dust in the air. I took my 1-week-old Tesla Model Y to Ken at DP Tint for window tinting and a ceramic coat based on a recommendation from my brother. I was somewhat skeptical about benefits of the ceramic coat process and had low expectations. I thought the main benefit would be easier maintenance. When I dropped my car off, Ken had just completed ceramic coating on another new Tesla Model Y in the same Quicksilver color. This was a rare opportunity to see and make an actual "before and after" comparison. The difference between the 2 cars, that were both new and the same color, was STUNNING! The color of the ceramic coated car was much richer, deeper and three dimensional. It shimmered under the light. You could clearly see the silver metallic flakes! Hard to describe the difference but it was night and day. In talking with Ken, it is the preparation of the car, not so much the ceramic coating itself that changes the appearance. Tough one to write - high expectations Good: 1. As seen in the pictures, the car looks AMAZING and I have no complaints over the aesthetics of the tint (from a distance) 2. Great communication from Ken - through the ups and downs, Ken was easily reachable and tried his best to make the process less of a headache Bad: 1. The front and back windshield had to be redone a few times due to quality issues (Ken was probably just as disappointed to see the impecfections - I don't think he performs the tint himself anymore) 2. You know when you put a screen protector on your phone and catch some lint/dust. Do you leave it as is or redo it? Personally, I'm the type where it will always bother me... My first review of this tint place was over six years ago. Since then I have brought my wife's brand new SUV and my brand new truck to them. I have even referred my family, friends and coworkers to this place. I have probably gave them thousands of dollars of business. The reason for lowering the review to 2 stars is because the quality of their work has declined drastically. Especially after the last tint job I had them do. I brought my vehicle back after realizing the cut lines were horrific in the back window and the moon roof tint was peeling. The cut lines looked a kindergarten kid used some dull scissors to cut it. The owner has been training other people to do the tint. I understand with that, comes mistakes in the application of the tint. I am totally good with working with shop to get the tint done correctly if mistakes are made. The problem is after I had to bring my vehicle back numerous times, the owner complained to a buddy of mine that I was too "picky" with how the tint was applied. Sorry if uneven and crooked cut lines and peeling tint is considered "picky". As a professional tint shop, you would think they would pay more attention to detail. I browsed Yelp for lots of tinting businesses that do excellent jobs on Model 3s. They're all essentially the same price, and from the pictures, they seem the same, but what made DP Tint & Detail stand out was the owner, Ken, took a lot of time explain to me his tinting process. I'm no tinter (is that a real word?) so I didn't really understand, but it seems like they thought through the process and really care about doing a good job, so I was sold just on they care more about the details than other shops. My intuition was correct and the tint job turned out great. It helped out on the windshield tint because I didn't research Model 3 windshield tint can mess up electronics if caution isn't taken to make sure liquid doesn't get into certain places. I got the windshield tinted and 3 days later everything is still working correctly, so I'm assuming it was done correctly. :D One thing to note is they wanted the car for the entire day. So make sure you can leave your car their the entire day before dropping it off. This was fine with me because I prefer people taking their time and getting it done correctly the first time. They did it in 5 hours, but I think I came when it wasn't busy. YMMV. read more

Ken (mostly) and the guys over at DP Tint do an awesome job! Got my 2018 Mazda 3 hatchback tinted here after a bit of a mixup happened with another tint shop in my area. Got a quote and plenty of info for both of the films that they carry, Madico Charcool and Wincos Premium IR. I was set on going with the Wincos mostly for the heat blockage; but if I went with the Charcool I highly doubt Ken would have upsold it to me since he's very confident with both films. Left my car to Ken and his guys and waited in the lobby until it was finished. The process took a little less than 2 hours, so bring a book or cross the street to the plaza for food. When finished I picked up my car, paid, and was re-familiarized the basics of what to do after tinting, and was on my way. After I had waited the few days for the film to cure, I rolled down my windows to check the detail of the cuts only to find my passenger side cut short. Ken was very accommodating with the issue, and took care of that side himself after we set up another appointment. Everything's good to go, and my car stays at most bearably warm on hot days! read more

I've used DP twice for two of my cars (Honda Accord 2017 & Tesla Model 3 2018), my parents have used them for their Lexus, my sister and her husband had used them (Lexus & Jeep) and we'd all come back again for our tint needs. I had a really good experience with them tinting my Honda, I came back for my Tesla hoping they could do it even though the back window on my Tesla model 3 is much larger than normal cars. They first told me they'd use 2 pieces of film and splice them against a defroster line but they somehow got a big film to do it with 1 piece (which is what the Tesla forums app suggest to do)! It was a super reasonable price too! Let's just say it was below $600 that I saw on the Tesla forums. What I love most about this place is they're passionate about their work. They promised me the 2 pieces would look good but I came back for my Tesla and they used 1 piece for the same price that quoted me. Oh by the way, my friends tell me they use brand names for their tinting film. read more
