If you haven't had one of these bad boys you need to plan a trip to DP Cheesesteaks. I love the Mushroom Steak, but instead of provolone, I substitute Bleu Cheese crumbles. Amazing! The meat is tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The bun is soft and just right. The regular is a big sandwich unless you are really, really hungry then get the large. I am a huge fan of this place. They do it right. The staff really takes pride in their food and sandwiches. I've never ordered anything other than a cheesesteak and mix it up with peppers on occasion. I just wish I didn't have to bring my own Old Bay seasoning. But, I'm a bit of a snob. Two of my favorite things... Cheesesteaks and DP's. While you can only get Cheesesteaks here, you won't be disappointed.

Their cheesesteak were pretty good. I ordered the mushroom pepper steak with cheese whiz and thought it was decent. I've had a lot of cheesesteaks over time (it's even in my profile pic), so I feel that I know a good amount about them. The steak, mushroom, and peppers were really good, but I just wasn't super impressed with the bread. For some reason, that can make or break a cheesesteak for me. It tasted similar to the one's I'd buy from Walmart and make at home. All in all, just okay cheesesteaks for a place named after it. read more

This is probably my favorite fast food restaurant here in Saint George. It was one of the first places I tried when I moved here that offered delivery and has great reviews. During the process of moving, delivery food was a regularity and finding one that taste amazing and is always quick was a relief. I dont even have a picture of the food because I always scarf it down right away. My go-to is usually a cheesesteak with cream cheese, provolone, light onions, and garlic sauce. The sandwiches are huge. I try to just get a regular instead of a large and thats plenty. The meat is so tender and juicy. I also love the lemonade rice krispy treats. Perfect bonus for this lemon lover. The fact that they have a drive-thru is so convenient too when Im already out and about. I will try to get a picture the next time I have DP's but no promises. read more

I believe they even have a bun / hoagie free option for those who want something a little pig it we. I usually get the Whiz cheesesteak, and it does not disappoint! I don't know what they do with this place, but it's magic.. the meat is seasoned with I-don't-know-what, but the mixture of that and cheese whiz on a soft roll is a gastronomic delight. Messy in all the right ways. I usually go through the drive thru, so I can't comment on the inside, but service is really quick for something so hot and fresh, and the window guy is friendly, polite, and efficient. Out party of 4 grew up near Philadelphia eating Philly steak sandwiches. We were visiting St. George & had driven by the DP Cheesesteak location & decided to give it a try . Overall we were very impressed by the quality, flavor and quantity of the steak sandwiches. Plenty of meat on a good roll. We were somewhat surprised that we could order ketchup to be added to the sandwich by the kitchen. Rather we were directed to add our own using the tiny ketchup packets. We went thru 24 packets which created a mess. The provided napkins were small & thin. As a result we ended up with a pile of thrash that felt wasteful. Fortunately. The location had a nice sink with soap & good paper towels to wash up. read more

My wife loves cheesesteak sandwiches, so we had to try this location. You can order on on-line, drive thru or walk in at this location. We chose to walk-in, so we could review the options on the menu. There is both inside and outside seating. Restaurant is clean and looks newer. My wife chose the large mushroom pepper steak with provolone cheese and I chose the large Philly Blue Cheese Steak. Service was friendly and fast. Since our sandwiches were to go, I appreciated how the sandwiches were wrapped to contain both the heat and juices, along with the name on each sandwich. For those that eat in, they do have self service fountain drinks. The cheesesteaks smelled delicious and did not disappoint in flavor. The quality and quantity of meat was great. The mushroom pepper steak is a more traditional cheesesteak sandwich. The peppers, mushrooms and onions are a great addition to the sandwich. My wife said it was the best cheesesteak she has had in decades. My sandwich had a large amount of blue cheese perfectly melted on top of the steak. The flavor was excellent and the onions helped round out the sandwich. The bread is the understated part of this sandwich. The bread's ability to absorb the juices and still stay in one piece is a big plus to enjoying this sandwich without making a big mess. I appreciated that the sandwich was already cut in half. Excellent Philly cheese steak sandwiches. The hoagie roll is not warmed, it is soft/firm, but not soggy. The chopped beef was very meaty we did not have fat on ours. Very glad there was no fat, great to cook with but not a fan to eat it. My husband ordered the 'Whiz Steak', with no onions, the cheese Whiz is only on the hoagie roll. SO... if you LOVE cheese like my husband does, get extra cheese with a side of cheese if available. That is his plan next round, he said next time he will ask. Ha ha... I ordered the 'Garlic Steak', the amount of garlic butter on the hoagie roll was not over powering I thought it was the right amount and I REALLY like garlic. I requested no onions on my sandwich but it comes with mushrooms and tomatoes. The tomatoes were put on after the sandwich was put together. I like that there were not cooked, yum! When we first landed coming from Texas, it was a late lunch so we were hungry. Ordered 4 regulars of different styles of cheesesteaks. Bread was very fresh and soft with a little firmness. The meats were hot and freshly cooked. Cheese were just enough and fully melted due to the hot temperatures of the beef. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that they didn't have any jalapeño or any spicy sauce or peppers? I also like to have some Mayo, which was not offered. Did add some afterwards. Also, I guess I was thinking foot long, this was more like 9" or so? Just tad smaller than expected, but still worth it for its freshness and quick service. read more
