This is a New Jersey Buffalo Ranch that sells at farmers markets. I'm up for trying something new and although I don't eat meat very often I love cheese. I especially love mozzarella and ricotta cheese. This business has both and so much more. I was assisted by a very knowledgeable and friendly man. He told me about other farmers markets where they sell. You can find Riverine at these markets:Union Square- Wed/SatInwood- Saturdays79TH & Columbus-SundaysJackson Heights- Sundays East 94 Street and 1st Avenue Sundays I recommend you bring an ice pack and your cooler! Mozzarella is good on pizza and for me on a toasted bialy!

And this farm uniquely carries water buffalo products. Fresh cheese, freshly cut meat, and you can wander around and gaze at the loving moisture cattle. The retail purchase store itself is quite tiny inside, despite looking big outside - visitors only have access to a cramped space in the front of it. Most of the first floor and all of the second floor - off limits! So get cozy with your neighbors. I got cozy with the cats, at least, but there were like 6 people in there and it felt a little clawstrophobic (see what I did there?) at times. There were too many people to deal with, so she had me rifle through all the meats myself until I finally found a good sirloin. She gave the best to the people before me though. Meat ain't cheap - $12-14 per pound at minimum, up from there for the best cuts. But that's still a bargain compared to the cheese - $10 for what she estimated at 1/3 lb! I can get literally any gourmet cheese from around the world at Wegman's for less. So atmosphere: outside beats inside. Service: the cats were the best part. Food: Delicacy $$. Verdict: I paid a pretty penny to cross this food off my bucket list, but I'm good.

I saw several products that are harder to find here (hot pot broth, pho soup base, etc). We tried some soft bread from the bakery as well as egg tarts in different flavors which were both decent. We tried one of the hot food vendors once and ate there. The stand with the ducks and other meat hanging in the display case. I thought the meat was going to be hot, but it was basically room temp. Not sure if you're supposed to take it home and heat it up from this vendor or if they will warm it up for you on request. We tried the bbq spare ribs and roast pork belly, which had good flavor but would have been better hot. Would try the other vendors.

My friend booked the tickets, so I thought we were only feeding goats, but we got a tour of the entire farm and got to interact with a lot of their rescues/residents there. The animals all appeared to be well taken care of and happy, which is the most important part. I 100% recommend buying a ticket and making the trip out to visit. Worth every penny :)

Rose Bridge is a sanctuary and working farm on land once owned by William Penn. Since 2013, the farm has become a 'forever home' for over 300 animals. Many of the animals are rescues from dairy farms, livestock auctions or other scenarios where they were at risk. They have several different activities, we opted for the Farm Fest, which combined several of the activities. The Farm Fest includes a mini farm animal husbandry tour, baby animal cuddling time, hands on craft activity, a beverage bar and an outdoor fire pit. It lasts about 2 hours. There were many parents there with children, but also adults like us by themselves. There are two times - 4-6 and 6:30-8:30. We went on the 4:00 tour. It was great! It was very interesting hearing how the animals came to the farm - it was so heartwarming to hear the stories of saving so many animals. However, I wasn't expecting the 'cuddling time' to be so much fun. We started with the goats - so friendly! They were nuzzling and 'pawing' us - I sat down and several came to me and wanted to be rubbed or held. I even had an opportunity to feed a baby goat its milk bottle! We interacted with pigs, sheep, a beautiful thoroughbred horse and a donkey! It was a very special experience! Afterwards we all went to a large barn and made crafts - specifically little planters we decorated, added dirt and seeds (large selection of flowers and vegetables seeds) to take home as a little souvenir. We had a dinner reservation so we left before the fire pit activity. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be with these farm animals and to support such a worthwhile project.

Before booking, I called the restaurant to clarify the redemption process. The staff member instructed me to exchange the voucher first and call back for a same-day reservation, which I did for 6:30 PM. However, upon arrival, the hostess could not honor our vendor email confirmation because the system required a specific QR code, and our reservation did not appear. While the hostess kindly offered us a seat while we spent an hour on the phone resolving the issue, it was an uncomfortable inconvenience. Once we finally received the QR code and were seated, the night completely turned around. The food was absolutely delicious, and our server, Jesse, was phenomenal. I would easily give this experience 5 stars, but I am rating it a 4 because the restaurant needs a better confirmation system with outside partners to protect guests from these types of booking issues.

The starters and cocktails were attractive, and the setting felt right for a romantic dinner. But unfortunately, what should have been a great experience quickly soured. The swordfish from the holiday menu, while beautifully presented, didn't sit well -- I ended up with a pretty nasty bout of food poisoning shortly after, and it seemed very likely that the fish was the culprit. By the next day, I was dealing with classic symptoms that put a real damper on what had been a special evening. It's a tough call because many diners enjoy their meals here and often highlight the ambience and service, but this experience was genuinely unpleasant and something I wouldn't wish on anyone celebrating a special occasion. Would I recommend it? I'd say proceed with caution, especially when ordering seafood, and make sure you're comfortable with risk on a night you really want to go well.
