Went for my birthday and had the best time. It was a beautiful day and we had a really sweet trail guide, Jen! Loved the scenic views of Evansburg State Park. We did the hour long trail which was just enough time for my boyfriend and I. The staff were nice and payment was easy with Venmo as an option. Definitely will be coming back.

My lady got us a gift certificate for an hour of horseback riding on the trail. We had a tour guide to show us lead us around the property and taught us how to ride the horses and made sure we were comfortable. The horses were easy to ride and the trail had a beautiful scenery with snow sprinkled all over the trees and grass. It was also really cool to experience feeding them carrots. I'm surprised at how smart and sweet the horses were. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and animals.

My sister surprised me for an early birthday celebration and I loved it! Our guide, Rachel was very sweet, patient and funny. All of the horses were beautiful and the trail ride was very easy to follow. Before the ride, the staff told us how to handle the reigns, a little bit about our specific horse (mine loved to eat any chance she could), and the throughout the trail ride they repeated the reign instructions which was helpful. The only thing I wished that happened during the trail ride was trotting!

My guy said he wanted to go horseback riding and that's just what we did. Tried to call to make reservations Labor Day weekend but phone kept ringing so I sent an email instead. Received a quick email response, was able to callback & get through to secure resos for 2 ppl a week out since LDW was unfortunately booked. Girl on the phone gave clear and concise instructions: show up 30m before ride time, wear long pants, wear closed toe shoes, cash/checks accepted, pls tip your tour guide, BYO bike helmet or use their helmets FOC. We opted for the 1hr trail ride which is very reasonable at $40pp/hr. I rode Ranger and my guy rode Leo. Ranger was such a beautiful, gentle giant... so CHILL. Leo is a handsome stud, full of personality. Sydney was our guide with years of equestrian experience. She told us how all the horses here are rescues, shared stories on some of the horses and some riding terminology. Trail was scenic and we kept the horses at a slow speed. The hour went by pretty quick too! Amazing experience and I already recommended this place to my friends.

I was visiting PA from the Chicagoland area and we were looking for something different to do. Riding horses through a state park was definitely something different and AMAZING. The horses are very well behaved and the tour guide herself was knowledgeable and friendly. The experience could not have been better. What is more amazing than being on horseback standing in a creek? If you love animals and the outdoors, this will be perfect. If I lived out here, I'd definitely make this a once a month activity at this ranch!

A fantastic experience! 5 of us did a 2 hour trail ride using a LivingSocial coupon. We couldn't have asked for a better day. The horses we're lovely and so were the people! A young girl was our trail guide and she did an awesome job! I'm an English rider but riding western was a refreshing switch up. The horses are well tempered and well trained to stay in line and do their thing. Only once did I see a horse get spooked and it was only people the person riding her was handling her completely and utterly wrong and the poor horse had no idea what it's rider was asking her to do. If you're a novice rider honestly it's your responsibility to do some research before climbing on an animal for a trail ride. This is not a horse riding lesson. It's a trail ride. Even if you google "basic riding 101" you can learn a lot. You wouldn't get into a car and drive it down your street without learning the basics would you? But I have to hand it to these horses, they are very good at handling riders from the most inexperienced to experienced. But the trail they took us on was great, seeing the fall foliage was beautiful. The people and animals were wonderful. Would absolutely go here again!

Just finished my first horseback ride ever! It was awesome! Mary was my guide & she was great. Very comfortable to talk to, very experienced. She guided us with a blind horse & if no one told me I would have had no idea. Mary told us about the land, houses that were still on the trails, & we learned a ton about horses. We walked through water which was super fun. We got to stay after our ride to ask questions, pet horses & learn more about our guide. I was very nervous to be riding but everyone calmed me. By the middle of the ride I felt very comfortable directing the horse, there were a few times we sped up a little HOW FUN! Great way to start my weekend & a great way to spend an anniversary! Thanks guys!

Absolutely loved it, it was a great experience. The horses will start to go faster if another does, so be aware of that. The trail is beautiful and also includes a river through which you can ride.

They also run a Horseback Riding Summer Camp for children and most recently have been hosting children's birthday parties. We recently planned and attended a wonderful party there and were delighted with the results. The "Dragon" themed party was planned for a 6 year old with guests ranging in age from 4-6. Five was the perfect number for this party but the Farm allows up to 10 guests for two hours. The ponies were adorned with their "unicorn" costumes to the delight of the riders. Each pony was accompanied by 2 experienced handlers. Every child was required to have a parental waiver signed and were provided with a helmet for safety. I have never seen so many smiling faces before. Two ponies allowed for multiple rides by each child and that was something they really loved. Short wait time! The next activity was a wagon ride full of real hay around the beautiful and historic farm founded in 1774. Adults and children alike enjoyed communing with nature and enjoying the beauty of the day. Kids love throwing hay at each other and reaching high for overhanging branches. We moved onto the Fairy Garden where dazzling little fairies had been hidden in the trees, just waiting for discovery by the little party guests. I counted at least 22...there could have been more. For a small fee each child was able to "find" a special magic stone that had been hidden just for them. We had to drag them away from the Fairy Garden..they really loved it. On to the rustic barn which had been festively decorated with tiny twinkle light. We brought our own decorations, paper products and balloons and set things up before the guests arrived. A burlap covered table for the guests reinforced the farm atmosphere and an extra table was set up to hold the ice cream cake, cookies, snacks and drinks. An old wooden wheelbarrow was draped to provide a spot for the gifts. It was a great party and I cant wait to go again with another group. The Fischer family made it an absolutely perfect day for the children and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an alternative to video games and bouncy houses!!

The set up utilizes some horse facilities from the Jeffords estate. Horse culture at this location dates back to the turn of the 19th C. and has links to Samuel Riddle, breeder of Man O' War and other famed racehorses. Boarding is available here with beautiful paddocks. There are 40 acres of pasture for grazing. There is a brand new enclosed ring that was built about a year ago. Also a heated tack room, and washing area (outside). We notice that horses are always blanketed when it is cold out, and they always look lively and content. In addition to boarding, they offer beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons, horse education ("hands-on"), pony rides, and parties. Often people host birthday parties at the nearby park picnic area with playground, and enjoy pony rides as part of the party. To visit and exercise your horse, there is a separate horse trail adjacent to the horse farm, just across Gradyville Road. North of Gradyville Rd the trail is roughly a figure 8 shape, & is the longest trail overall (4.7mi) for the park, and the only one equestrian-accessible. This is the widest unpaved park trail, since it is for horses. Note that walkers & dogs also use this trail, and populate it more than horses. A large northern section of the trail abuts Edgmont Country Club golf course, & the green's activities can be observed from the trail.
