Upon arrival, however, there were no visible signs of closure, nor any gates by entrance. We parked car by corn maze with my family to find entrance, only to be confronted by the owner after 5 minutes, who proceeded to use profanity despite the presence of young children. We maintained composure, explaining our unawareness of the closure and attempted a calm conversation. But the owner responded with derogatory remarks, threatening to involve the police despite our lack of wrongdoing. The farm lacked closed gates, signage, and an updated Google Maps status. Caution advised, especially for families, as the owner exhibited racism and a lack of compassion. Owner was very aggressive and was blocking our car from leaving. He was threatening us that cops will be called and asking for 100$, all while screaming and cursing .We were discriminated and cursed at for no reason. We would definitely never visit this place before checking google maps or if there would be sign " No Trespassing ". Never will recommend this place , especially not for holiday festivities with kids.

I didn't see much of the farm, but I did hear from my friend that their portable toilets were not clean. I don't like having to use those portable toilets, so I had to wait to use the bathroom later. I like how the Corn Maze has been in operation for such a long time. I like the history aspect of it, but I didn't like the exact setup. The guide explained to us that we had to collect information for trivia and history facts along the way during our experience. She explained in detail how to do this. I felt like there should be two different orientations: one for those who want to participate in the trivia, and the other for those who don't. We just wanted to run through the Corn Maze, but it was explained to us that we had to collect trivia facts and such. We had a large group, and one woman did collect the facts, and we all followed along, but I prefer to have the choice. Our actual experience through the Corn Maze was fun! It was dusty, so make sure to wear old sneakers, or be prepared to wipe off your shoes. We had fun trying to go this way or that way, and we took a nice group picture in the maze! I enjoyed myself, and while I wouldn't go back to this corn maze, I would love to check out other activities on this farm.

It was definitely worth coming here and seeing how the farmers do all the work on the property, and we learned about the history of the farm. They also showed us how to plow the fields and plant the wheat in the dirt. A couple of the employees who worked there wasn't very nice but overall we had a great time.

The fee is $6 which is redeemable for a credit in their gifts shop. I found the tour to be very informative and questions were highly encouraged. From video footage of how they shear the alpaca to anecdotes, she seemed to be passionate about the animal. The only thing I would mention is that the interaction with the alpaca was very limited and we weren't welcome to touch them. Left me longing for a bit more. Will say that the gift shop is worth visiting. Would recommend to visit if you're in the area!

The first tour starts at 11am and are scheduled every hour on the hour. Jane was very informative and answered all of our questions. We were able to stand inside with the beautiful alpacas and take pictures. It is $6 per person for the tour but you can use that $6 afterwards towards an item from their store. The store has many items that are made from real alpaca fur such as head bands, socks, hats, etc. I highly recommend coming here and will be returning back with the rest of the family!

Also for sale in the country store are plenty of other fresh fruits and veggies, sauces and dressings, dips, and lots of candy too! Apple picking time is also very popular! Their pricing is also very fair for what you're getting. It's always nice to support local farms. They had a tough year already with the devastating crop damage from the freeze this past April.

Many years ago, we found this pick your own strawberry farm, not too far from home. It's a small…read morefarm with rows and rows of strawberries. We stopped going because one year, they told me that their strawberry crop was no good that year; then the next year, they decided not to offer pick-your-own due to limited crop. The next year, the season was short due to weather conditions and was over before I could go. Eventually, I stopped calling. This weekend, we drove past the farm and saw the signs for pick your own strawberries! They just opened a few days ago for strawberry picking. Surprisingly, they were still open in the late afternoon/early evening on Sunday. I remember their hours being very limited before. There are less rows of strawberries now and there is a whole section that is completely vacant and bare. I remember getting the best strawberries from that patch! We were able to pick about 3 lbs of decent strawberry but noted that a lot were either already picked by other patrons or the berries weren't ripe yet. If you plan to go, I suggest going soon because it's a small farm and the crops look limited. I also suggest calling ahead. The price is $3/lb, which is more than your local supermarket during strawberry season, but it is worth it. The strawberries are small here but they are full of juicy flavor. They are appreciatively not on steroids! I am not a fan of the huge strawberries in the supermarket that tend to be dry and flavorless with an empty center. It would be great if they were organic but I guess that's asking too much for a farm so close to home.

They tell you in advance what they have, you order, and then they don't have what you ordered. So…read moreinstead of summer squash you get a potato. Instead of cabbage you get garlic. Not cool. The whole order in advance thing is a failure. A farm should harvest what they have and then sell it to the CSA members or the public. The whole idea of ordering in advance and picking up doesn't work. They never have what you order, and often times there are other products available that were not listed on the website. Those are for "loyal members" who have been around longer. What? Is this a farm or a social club. Leafy products: yes I understand it's an organic farm and bugs will come through here or there. But we routinely expect to find leafy products INFESTED with bugs and dirt. A certain amount of dirt is healthy in vegetables and chlorinated water is bad for vegetables, but this is bad. The least they could do is rinse the stuff off a bit as other farms do. Other farms have water tanks where they soak the vegetables off a bit. No such luxuries here. The CSA membership gives you no real discount on produce. You buy in at face value, versus Cherry Grove Organic where $400 buys you $500. I wanted to try Honey Brook but We will head quickly back to Cherry Grove next year.

During this 2021 season, most of the array of vegetables were only offered to people who chose the largest plans. We would go to pick up the produce each week and see that our share size was excluded from ordering the majority of the produce. This huge change from prior years ,was not told to us before they asked for our $$ in advance.In past years, there were many many pick -your -own options that were included in the price of a share. Again, we were not told in advance of the full season payment, that there would be hardly any vegetables for picking. That is a huge change from prior years and yet it was not disclosed before the fact. The big changes this year, can not be blamed on them outsourcing/trying software to track inventory etc.. Nondisclosure of changes ahead of time so consumers would know what they were/ were not buying, in our opinion, is the reason for our poor rating.
