It was $20(Kinda Pricey) for entrance but it includes a good amount of things to do. I added a picture that lists what all is included. When you arrive, there's a hay ride that takes you to the festival from the parking lot! Very kid friendly and lots of photo opportunities. My favorite part was the corn maze and the pumpkin patch. There are a few things that aren't included in the price. I saw a pumpkin cannon launcher that was extra and it was pretty cool to watch! The food isn't amazing and a bit pricey but it's to be expected really at something like this! They had BBQ, lemonade stand, funnel cakes, Playa Bowls and one of the food trucks had seafood. Over all a good experience to visit once a year with larger group on nice fall day, support your local farms and farmers!

A huge slide with a corn pit, a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin picking, food trucks, and so much more. Pro tips 1. Bring cash, they are cash only. $20 per person to get into the fall festival, there's usually a line because everyone wants to go, and if you forgot cash there is an ATM but the line for thr ATM seems even longer than the entrance line. Bring more than you think, it can get expensive, pumpkins are sold per pound. 2. Bring an extra bag. They do not allow large bags or coolers, however, there are food trucks, and if you'd like to purchase extra to bring home, the trucks do not have bags. It was difficult to walk around with several funnel cakes, drinks, candy apples, fried oreos etc without dropping anything. An extra bag would have been helpful. 3. Dress in layers. It gets cool quickly in the evening but during the day if it's sunny, it could feel comfortable or hot.

Apparently there's approximately only one week left to strawberry season. Thankfully Von Thun had strawberries coming out of their ears ! It was $30 for a large pail and $10 for a quart. Now we are happily eating our strawberries at home with a bowl of ice cream.

I took my kids and visiting family here on a Thursday when the kids had no school. I hear it can…read moreget crowded on the weekends, but on Thursday when we arrived a little before noon, it wasn't bad. They had a steady stream of newcomers but not too crowded. It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good. However, once we parked and got our tickets, things started moving better. There was more breathing room. This is not a traditional farm where you can pick your own berries. There was a fenced kids section for smaller kids that was nice. Food was disappointing. Lines were extremely long and prices high. I would recommend eating before going. While my initial impression of this farm Was stress inducing, I was able to relax once we got into the games and activities it offered. Overall, not what I expected, but a nice experience that I would recommend to others.

Rose Bridge is a sanctuary and working farm on land once owned by William Penn. Since 2013, the farm has become a 'forever home' for over 300 animals. Many of the animals are rescues from dairy farms, livestock auctions or other scenarios where they were at risk. They have several different activities, we opted for the Farm Fest, which combined several of the activities. The Farm Fest includes a mini farm animal husbandry tour, baby animal cuddling time, hands on craft activity, a beverage bar and an outdoor fire pit. It lasts about 2 hours. There were many parents there with children, but also adults like us by themselves. There are two times - 4-6 and 6:30-8:30. We went on the 4:00 tour. It was great! It was very interesting hearing how the animals came to the farm - it was so heartwarming to hear the stories of saving so many animals. However, I wasn't expecting the 'cuddling time' to be so much fun. We started with the goats - so friendly! They were nuzzling and 'pawing' us - I sat down and several came to me and wanted to be rubbed or held. I even had an opportunity to feed a baby goat its milk bottle! We interacted with pigs, sheep, a beautiful thoroughbred horse and a donkey! It was a very special experience! Afterwards we all went to a large barn and made crafts - specifically little planters we decorated, added dirt and seeds (large selection of flowers and vegetables seeds) to take home as a little souvenir. We had a dinner reservation so we left before the fire pit activity. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be with these farm animals and to support such a worthwhile project.

At the same time, I am running around the house trying to get to work and my get house together for Thanksgiving which I host every year. I want everything in place to give my family a nice holiday. On my way to work, I started thinking about what I am thankful for this year. I am always thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for their love and friendship as well as their health and happiness. This morning as I think about Selena Gomez and food shopping, I realize how grateful I am to be able to go work at Allaire Community Farm. If you haven't been to Allaire Community Farm, you have to go. Spend some time there, enjoy the animals, the garden and the peacefulness of the farm. I have had the privilege of spending my work day there. I don't work for the farm directly, but I get to do my work there. Their mission statement is "nurture through nature and helping people achieve their full potential..." They "support special needs children and adults, at-risk population, families battling cancer, veterans with PTSD and the local community..." When you go to the farm look around, pay close attention and you will see so much more. You will see Sean, JoAnn, and Allison wearing more hats than seems humanly possible. You will see that the farm relies on volunteers to run. Dedicated people who give their time for the farm to succeed and people who truly believe in the farm's mission. You will see contractors and businesses donate their time, money and services. You see school groups, recreation groups and therapeutic riding instructors working with people with special needs. You will see a place that expects you to come as you are and be who you are. There are no "special needs" on the farm. You are welcomed, accepted and supported to meet your potential despite your abilities, background or life choices. In a world where people are quick to criticize people struggling and appearance is valued, it is refreshing and humbling to see how the farm brings people together and best out in everyone. This is the type of place and the values, I want for my children. I got there by chance and very happy that I did. If you have some time, stop by to visit and see what I mean.
