Bad service. Wouldn't recommend. Yall know you need to be better. No reason for a cover charge and no service

We came here for my birthday because they have a piano bar. Unfortunately the player was not able to set up his piano that night. Instead he came over to our table and personally sang to me! The food was also terrific and really a diverse menu for a smaller joint. I am not from Indiana but would be a regular if I were! read more

It's been years since I've been here, but we wanted breakfast and most places were closed for Labor Day. We chose a booth next to some rowdy young people who had probably been up all night (oh, to be young again) and were having a great time. I wish I'd caught the waitresses name because she was great. I had the White Flag - 2 over easy eggs, bacon, and sourdough toast. The eggs were perfect and there were at least 5 slices of bacon. The coffee was great, too. It was a basic breakfast but perfectly done, which is just what I wanted. My partner's biscuits and gravy were excellent, too. read more

Don't accept my delivery order if you don't intend to honor it. Cancelled after 20 minutes.

If you're looking for a good karaoke option, GO TO OLLY'S! Our group of nine went on a Saturday night, and we had so much fun. The DJ had great energy, and every singer picked great songs. Our drinks did take awhile to make it to our table, but they were very reasonably priced. read more

You will find this spot on the outskirts of downtown. I have driven by this place many times and always wondered what it was. So I decided to stop in. It was a trendy, yet hole-in-the wall bar. The bar caters to the LBGTQ+ community and as tastefully decorated with rainbow flags all over. They have their own small private parking lot and there is metered street parking available as well. There is a small, but adequate dining area there with booths and tables. There is also a full bar with seating available. you will find a small patio area out front and there is a huge outdoor fenced in and covered patio area area in the back, known as The Backyard, just off the parking lot. ` The bar serves beer, wine and has a full service bar with a few signature cocktails. It was open seating and I sat at bar seating just off of the main bar. The bartender/server took a little warming up. But once she got going, she was very friendly. You could tell that the bar had a bunch of regulars there because she knew everyone else by name. They serve breakfast and have a lunch/dinner menu that include wraps, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and apps. I opted for the sloppy Joe with a side of fries. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. It was fresh and hot. I never had or even though of getting a sloppy joe with sliced pickles on it, but that is how this one came. Somehow it worked though and was pretty good. The fries were good as well. This bar has been around for over 20 years and has special nights where that host events such as drag shows, open mics, trivia nights, piano bar, corn hole tournaments, and karaoke. They always have something going on, most of which happens in the Summer, at their Backyard patio. The is a neat and fun little hole in the wall that has a lot of personality. I recommend checking it out if you are on that side of downtown. read more

In a city where most places close early, we should be thankful for Downtown Olly's for opening late. I like it's located right off the highway and it has its own parking lot, though not big. It celebrates LGBTQ+ community not only during pride month but all year long. This was my second time visiting, and It was hard to pick what to eat as they have a big menu. I recommend their sloppy tots. It's unique-never seen it anywhere else. It was addicting. I had a southwest salad, and I was a bit confused why they did not have southwest dressing for the southwest salad ?? But other than that I was happy with my experience there. read more

Went here on a whim, and it's been several years since the last time. Sad because they used to be open 24 hrs. They have always been known for their chicken tenders and they are still so good! Also had the steak and eggs and it was decent. The service is always good here and sometimes they have shows. Not very big on the inside, good music, and small parking. Great place for a drink! read more

* A Warm Welcome (Only for Locals, Apparently)* I stumbled upon this charming gay bar, eager to experience the Indianapolis nightlife. What I got was a chilly reception, cold food, and a crash course in the Bartender love life. *Pros:* - Prices are as low as my expectations after visiting - Dark interior, perfect for hiding from the disappointment *Cons:* - Unfriendly staff (unless you're a local, then they're BFFs) - Food: colder than the bartender's demeanor (ordered the "warm" wings, got frozen chicken) - Healthy options? LOL, good luck finding a salad amidst the fried, processed goodness - Bartender sexuality and girlfriend were the real main attractions (every. single. conversation.) *Understaffed and Over-it* Ordering took an act of Congress, only one bartender working on a Saturday *Local Tip:* If you're not from around here, don't bother. They've got a keen eye for "outsiders." Wear a "Local" badge, and you'll get the royal treatment. *To the Owner:* Invest in some thermal underwear for your staff (and the food). Also, remind Bartender that his love life is fascinating, but not to everyone. *To Potential Visitors:* Bring a flashlight (for the dark interior) and a parka (for the cold shoulder). *Will I return?* Only if I'm feeling masochistic. *Edit:* I'll give them another star if they add a "Locals Only" sign to the door. Transparency is key. read more

3.5/5 Cozy space on a rainy day, no happy hour (according to state laws). IPAs on tap were good, chicken sandwich was tasty with extra pickles and Cole slaw. There was almost no ambiance other than music videos on tv screens. Wish it had more life. I was googling bars in the area and this popped up and was the closest but felt mute. Service from the bar was good. Friendly, easy and laid back. Cool persona and hip vibe. Space was clean and that's a plus. Maybe I just got out of luck with a rainy day opposed to a hot weekend. Finally! Some quality late night food in Indy open until 3am. This is such a cute little place with string lights decorating the interior, fun music, and awesome upbeat servers. The home fries and tater tots were fantastic. The World Cup Omelette came out looking like a million bucks, but the chicken sandwich looked a little sad next to it with sparse tater tots. I'd serve it on a smaller platter or fill it up more to make up for the large empty space. Will be back to try out some more of the menu! read more

Walking in, there is no signs showing that they break ada. In fact, their banner out front makes it seem like a very inclusive place to be for lgbtqa and disabled queer people. However upon walking in with my cardiac alert dog for pots with ptsd training as well, I was promptly told we were not welcome. I was told despite the fact I need her to live, we would not be welcome and they would not provide service to us. Both of these are breaking ada: Establishments that sell or prepare food must generally allow service animals in public areas even if state or local health codes prohibit animals on the premises. People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons, treated less favorably than other patrons, or charged fees that are not charged to other patrons without animals. In addition, if a business requires a deposit or fee to be paid by patrons with pets, it must waive the charge for service animals. https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-2010-requirements/ If you're claiming to be so Inclusive, actually be inclusive. 5 min walk from my apartment: check Affordable menu: check Great selection of alcohol: check Neighborhood bar feel: check Delicious food: check Anyone that's been here knows just how good this food is, but the dilemma here is the number one reason we come here. Is it because of the great food? Or because of the people and the vibes? Don't sleep on this bar. This isn't your typical bar food. Cute little bar in downtown Indy. Super friendly bartenders. Didn't get food but saw what other had ordered. Looked pretty good.

So, my first time ever being in this place, let me just say that dude at the door was more worried about his phone then greeting anyone who went in, not even a "thank you for coming, have a great night!". Second, we were sitting for 10-15 mins and the waitress was chatting it up with people on by the gaming machines, tables with dishes and food, which clearly showed that those people were long gone! Never will I ever go or recommend this place to anyone.. why does it have 4 starts?? I ask myself that same question!! Avoid, avoid, avoid!! read more

Downtown Olly's is a great late-night bar and restaurant in downtown Indianapolis. Actually, it's a great 24-hour bar and restaurant, but I seem to only make it in there in the wee hours after closing down whatever other establishment I've been patronizing for the evening. It is located in the 800 block of North Illinois Street. There is a small private parking area along the south side of the building and wrapping around behind. The front wall of the building consists primarily of floor-to-ceiling windows facing east out on to Illinois Street. The large square bar dominates the interior space although there is a small area of booths and other seating scattered throughout. The lighting is dim and the ambient noise tends to be loud. The decor and ambiance can best be described as eclectic. The menu is comprehensive with lists of appetizers; salads; entrees that include steak, chicken, pasta, and fish dishes; burgers and sandwiches; pizzas; sides; a range of breakfast choices; and more. The full bar offers alcoholic beverages from 7 a.m. until 3 a.m. In my experience the service has always been prompt, friendly, and efficient and the food consistently marvelous. Know that Olly's serves adults only and is definitely not a family restaurant. What it is is a quirky, offbeat, alternative establishment that I sincerely recommend you visit. read more

I don't normally review a place after only one visit, but i am so impressed with Downtown Olly's that I just had to say something. I also don't normally order fried food, but the fried green tomatoes and breaded mushrooms here are delicious AND fried to perfection. The Black & Bleu salad was my choice. Again....delicious. Kat took care of us at the bar. They didn't have Squirt so she made me the best Paloma with fresh grapefruit juice, club soda, fresh lime and tequila. Excellent service, ambiance and music. I've ordered Olly's through Doordash several times. Their food NEVER disappoints. Tonight, they were out of the chocolate lava cake I ordered, and instead of letting Doordash take care of the refund (as has always been the case for me if a restaurant is out of an ordered product), they sent me back a refund in cash! Seriously?! I have NEVER had this happen. 10 stars to you guys for being so awesome! I can't wait to stop in and show my love to y'all personally. What a stand up business! read more

I've been to this establishment many years. It's getting worse and worse as time goes on. Once the sun goes down the whole staff starts to do drugs, customer service goes out the door, and it's their way or the highway. Servers are too strung out to be attentive to guests and/or are too busy checking their nose for booger sugar that they don't care about your requests. Three different confrontations happened within 30 mins of me being there. It is nice that they are open late for food. My advice is to order to go. Service - 0 Atmosphere - 0 Food-8 read more
