It was a Saturday night and this tiny bar was jam-packed. We had to stand, but it was okay because we had only stopped in for one drink before heading to another restaurant for dinner. Beer On The Wall has a few locations around. Here it has quite a bit to choose from. The prices are pretty high to be honest. Beers are the main things of course. It's got plenty of these in bottles and cans if getting these for later. There's also lots more on tap. A lot of these are from local breweries. There's also a few from other countries such as Germany. Big selection and prices are also big. It's about $10 a pint. Certainly would have gotten more if not for it being crazy. It's got limited food like $2 for bags of potato chips or pretzels. Also they have lots of community events. There's things like live music. For sure there's a lot to choose from. It's got a close relationship with the cafe next to it so you can go over there and get coffee and pastries. This is conveniently located across the street from the Metra station.

Upon arrival on a beautiful night, we were informed there was an event being held on the rooftop - it felt really dishonest to me that we were confirmed and then moved without a call to advise of the change, since the rooftop was the reason we booked and events are usually planned well in advance. Food was solid as was the service, and we had a great night, but I was disappointed in the lack of transparency on rooftop availability, especially after telling everyone in our group that we would be dining on the rooftop. Seems to be a trend in looking at other reviews which is disappointing.
