Owner said his dj was not there to serve Latin crowds. Dj was partying by himself in the booth. Never again

However, I loved the opportunity to enjoy live music on a Tuesday night, particularly tunes appealing both to me as a Gen X'er and my Boomer father. The service reminded me of the extra lengths of care folks seem to go to in the Midwest. My waitress was very attentive to my dairy allergy...& in Illinois, the laws aren't as strict as in Massachusetts. I selected the salad with farro and chicken and the dressing was delicious. Very generous portions! The chicken was juicy and flavorful: well-seasoned with a Mediterranean blend that wasn't overpowering. The mixed green lettuce itself was notable. I loathe limp lettuce...so much so that I often switch to butter lettuce or romaine for the crunch. These were among the best mixed green leaves I've had-very fresh. The farro was the perfect texture, without being overly salty (as it often is elsewhere.) I was glad to have ordered the "flight" of red wines-all 3 of which I enjoyed. Note: we were able to order chicken fingers to go-which weren't on the menu, but which my very picky son loved. The ambiance was lovely, with an airy feel, at candle-lit tables, with a view of a nice lounge area. My visit to Flight was among the best hotel dining experiences I've had. My Dad reported enjoying his turkey burger as well-the caramelized onions in particular.

I had a layover that turned into an overnight due to weather, and I wasnt feeling Italian, so this was the other choice within the actual hotel. The other option was to walk all the way back to the airport through the underground tunnels. I had looked at the menu before coming so I had an idea what they offered. Of course my colleague tried to order the T-bone which is what I had originally wanted....when he ordered first but they had just sold out....right before us. My 2nd choice was the filet since I had eaten a ribeye 2 of the last 3 days, so I needed variety. I added sautéed baby spinach, iced tea and a cheesecake. The steak was decent....but not prime. The spinach was plentiful and good. The cheesecake was really good, but a very thin slice. My colleagues bone-in ribeye was supposedly good. Our only issues were the foul smelling lemon slices on the iced tea, the overly worn carpet, and the slow service as they had only 2 waitresses working that night.

What a cool place at the Hilton O'Hare Airport!!!! The decor…read moreis amazing! It feels and looks like a time capsule back to what I imagine were the roaring 20's!!! The waiters were wearing 20s themed clothes as well. I loved it! I honestly feel sad for my fellow yelpers that recommended stripping the place down and just keeping the chandeliers. Service was amazing! The place was completely full and the lovely lady who helped me (sorry I forgot your name, you were wonderful!) was awesome! I asked for recs and she told me what her favorite plates were and why. What a breath of fresh air! They have a full bar. A lot of people seemed very happy with their cocktails. There is also a live piano player, and as a lover of live music, I was very, very happy. The player was amazing, played some Frank Sinatra classics perfectly! I had the wedge salad. It was delicious. The lettuce was super crispy and super fresh, there was a perfect amount of Bleu cheese sauce and bacon on top. I also had the carbonara gnocchi. If you are a purist, it was not really classic carbonara sauce, but it was delicious! What I loved the most: the PERFECT texture of the gnocchi! It had the perfect amount of bite. If I am ever strand at O'Hare again, I am definitely coming back.
