According to the front-desk staff member I spoke with today, they apparently do not have a biller at all or anyone available to verify insurance coverage for medications. So when a medication is not covered by your insurance, they simply tell you that it is not their fault and that it is not their responsibility to verify medication coverage with the pharmacy. As the patient, you are left calling the pharmacy and the clinic back and forth yourself, doing the work that I believe the medical office should be helping with. This is extremely frustrating and creates unnecessary delays for patients trying to obtain their medications. When you call the office, you may find that the doctor has already left by 3 PM, leaving nobody available to properly assist you. The front-desk woman even told me to call back at 5:30 PM, but the office actually closes at 5:00 PM. Yelp also says they are open until 6:00 PM, but nope--the office closes at 5:00 PM. Overall, my experience has been extremely frustrating, and highly poorly managed. This is also one of the only places where you apparently need a phone appointment just to get a prescription refill. It feels like they are making a simple refill process unnecessarily difficult and turning it into another appointment. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place if you can.
