Great ratio of students to teacher, the office staff being helpful, nice, attentive and very respectful. The school is kept clean by the staff, cafeteria is spotless, play yard is big and lots of parents/volunteers around to monitor the kids before school, during breaks and lunch. The after school program for the district (aspire) is a wonderful thing. It allows my kids to get extra help with homework and they get to socialize with other kids not in their class. Im very happy with this school and the district.

The after-school program teachers would make me feel horrible about myself, and I know hate is a strong word, but I HATED the site coordinator!!!!! And I'm not gonna drop names, but her name started with an L. She had me so jacked up in the head, I didn't even know what was right anymore. Daycare is great. They open early and close late. They help with homework and truly care about student learning. The tone felt unnecessarily harsh. I understand that supervising many kids at once can be challenging--I have six years of experience working in children's ministry--but there are respectful and effective ways to communicate with kids without raising your voice excessively. Children deserve patience, guidance, and a calm environment where they feel safe and supported, especially during unstructured times like recess. Hearing that level of yelling was upsetting and made me question the approach being used. Because of this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this school at this time. I encourage parents to observe and ask questions to ensure the environment aligns with how they want their children to be treated and supported. Poor children , do they really need a loud speakerphone to speak to children? I mean their ears are not even developed like ours. My voice would be enough. Whoever was yelling was also using one of those things that coaches use. I'm not sure what it's called. She said that he got in trouble the first time for asking for a ball back even though she denied to give it and he didn't say anything wrong but he got in trouble because she thought it was a good idea to get him in trouble and just say that he hit her. Then the second time my son had been screamed at TWICE and they were saying to take a seat because he was looking for a clean table. They then told him to sit down at a table full of trays and trash all over. They never cleaned his table so he asked for a new table and that lady said no so he asked another supervisor that was way more kind and so they moved. The first supervisor said that they weren't supposed to move even though they got permission and him and his friends got in trouble twice for no reason. And his teacher Mrs. Tanaka was really horrible because he didn't even want to go to school anymore because of the way she acted to him so she would always scream at him and he would never like it. These two shouldn't even be on this campus because of the way they both act but this school doesn't even care at all about what happens.
