came here on black friday, i brought my mini backpack because i was out photographing and my…read moregirlfriend insisted on shopping here. my mom ended up calling me halfway through my time here and i answered and went through my bag to show a pair of socks i previously bought at a different store. while doing this a worker started pointing at me and laughing at me to her friend. she then rounded up 4 different worker to follow me around the store as i just tried to find my girlfriend and leave while talking on the phone. the entire time i was just chatting about the deals at the other shops loudly so the 4 people would maybe stop stalking me and laughing at me TO MY FACE. they'd come up really close to me and ask me how my shopping experience was super close to my face, i know theyre trained not to confront people who may be shoplifting but it honestly felt harassing. i didn't want anything from the store anyways and just wanted to please my girlfriend by entering and occupying myself as she shopped. instead i have teenagers pointing and laughing at me while im just trying to talk to my mom on the phone. they also were talking loudly about how they need people at the front and were fully pointing st me and giving me a dirty look. it was the WORST shopping experience i've ever had. i can understand trailing me silently because i had a bag and was going through it at one point, but there was no need for a spectacle and trying to humiliate me it and call me dumb to your friend LITERALLY 5 ft away from me.

I am still trying to convince Blue Cross Blue Shield to reimburse me for the dress and shoes I purchased the other day. The first time I found Altar'd State, I thought to myself, "what the heck is that place?". From the outside, it looks like a literal chapel. The inside is just as breathtaking too. This specific location is located right within Mountain View Village so you can get anything else done while you are in the area. The location is absolutely perfect. They have doors on either side that you can walk through. The doors are a bit heavy but they even have a beautiful touch to them. When you walk inside, you immediately get a wiff of a fresh aroma. I love how it smells in here! As aforementioned, the overall vibe in here is amazing! They have a water ball (? I don't know what else to call it) near the check out area that is really fun to look at. The ceiling and the chandeliers are beautiful...AND the products they sell are amazing of course!!! I don't know who is designing this stuff and I don't know how much they make...but it is not enough. Every time I go into Altar'd State and try something on, it feels like it was literally made for me. I have found so many things I cannot live without while I have been browsing this store. So so so many beautiful shirts, dresses, shoes, you name it. The pricing depends on how you look at it. Typically their pieces start at $70-$80. They are definitely a bit steep. However, they do have a clearance area near the fitting room with some killer deals! I have spent $80 on a few items but I have also bought stuff for as low as $9.99. As much as I love this, it does kind of become a punch in the gut with how it went from $80 to $9.99... I have found cute shoes here and there is so many cute dresses I have found here and wear religiously. Their products are all great and I would definitely rather find cute products in the clearance section but sometimes I can't help but buy the item while they have it in my size and everything. On more than one occasion, I have found ranch inspired products, like a $14 dish towel that says "Ranch dressing is a blessing". I am glad we are on the same page, Altar'd State. The staff is always really nice and helpful. They greet people at the door without being super pushy, like car salesmen. When I was changing in the fitting room, the girl knocked, addressed me by name, and asked me how I was doing & if I needed anything multiple times. Things like this can really go a long way. The cashiers are always quick and nice. I have truly never had a bad experience here in that regard. I am obsessed with Altar'd State and I will continue going back for many many years to come. I tell all my friends how awesome it is and like I said, I can't leave this place empty handed. I can't say enough good things about Altar'd State!!

The staff greeted me in a really friendly manner when I came in and were extremely helpful--maybe too helpful!!--with pointing out all of the mermaid things they'd just gotten in. There's a whole table in the middle of the store that is filled with all things mermaid and unicorn. One of the girls even found a mermaid crown and hair jewelry (not really sure what else to call it?) that were really amazing. Currently rocking the red hair, I can totally pull off the Ariel look with the right makeup. One of the cute girls working in the store (I really wish I knew her name, because she was an amazing sales person!) went around the with me, making it so much easier to find everything. If there's one complaint I have about Hot Topic, it's that you really have to sift through everything to find something, especially the shirts along the walls on racks. She wasn't pushy, and I felt like I was shopping with one of my best friends. Even when it came time to the ring out and I was pre-approved for a Hot Topic credit card, she handled it perfectly without pushing it on me. Anyway, we found ourselves in the Traverse Mountain Outlets yesterday and my wife wanted a new pair of denim jeans. We saw the Levi store, and went in. We were immediately greeted by a cheerful employee and when we said we were looking for shorts, she didn't skip a beat and asked "men's or women's sizes?" I loved that she didn't assume anytime. My wife wears men's pants and shorts almost exclusively and hates when people assume otherwise. It wasn't long before we had a few pair that my wife wanted to try on. We were hesitant, not knowing if dressing rooms were open yet-you know, Covid and all. Another employee noticed our hesitation and invited us to pick any room and go ahead and try them on. We ended up leaving with a couple pair of perfectly fitting Levi's. (I can call them that because they actually are Levi brand.) The price was a little steep-a little over 100 dollars for two pair. But from what I know about the brand, they should last awhile.

I've been a loyal customer here or over ten years. Over twenty suits ordered along with many belts…read moreand dress shirts. The level of service has dropped off considerably and customer service and business practices at this location are now shady at best. Manager engages in bait and switch practices and sales associates are either new, incompetent or shady as well. I went in last week to purchase a belt and specifically inquired about black Friday deals on custom suits. The sales rep told me they would be 30% off for black Friday and that sale would start on Wednesday the night before thanksgiving. I go into the store on black Friday. I confirmed with the sales associate that the suits were 30% off and proceeded to take measurements and get fitted for four suits. When I go to check out the discount is not present. Sales associate checked with manager and he said there was no sale on the custom suits. I told him I had specifically confirmed the sale on custom suits with two different sales associates on two separate days. Dude could care less and told me to go pound sand in his polite manager way. Steer clear of this location. There are plenty of other options around the valley or online with trained associates and managers who don't routinely engage with bait and switch practices.
