Notes: Bring your own hair dryer and bath toiletries. They are not provided. If you're a light sleeper or late sleeper, you'll hear the early morning prep from the coffee shop downstairs. The building is circa late 19th or early 20th century - - not sound proof. Consider part of the historic charm. We did. Sundays aren't an issue the coffee shop is closed.

Tecumseh absolutely charmed us, and part of the charm lay in this very nice little place (and I mean little, one apt. only available, while we were there) above the local coffee shop, owned by the same people as the coffee shop. So, locally owned, and getting in touch to book rooms has you calling the coffee shop, so don't be confused! Anyway, the price was very reasonable, and the loft was quaint, an efficiency apt with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Clean and comfortable, located on the main street and up a flight of stairs (they have one other place, a larger apt. with several bedrooms). We walked to dinner at Evans Street Station, and to the little shops up and down the strip during the afternoon. Tecumseh's quiet--if you want clubs, bars and a roulette wheel, this is not the spot for you--but if you're into the small town, quiet-getaway- experience, I highly recommend this inn. The breakfast is a $10 gift card for the full service coffee shop downstairs, which for two people can be tight, but you can use it the day before, and put your bagels and coffee in the apt. fridge, which is what we did (see caveat), or you can use the morning of, if they're open (Caveat: the coffee shop wasn't open on the Sunday we were there, and may not be open on Sundays period. Pick out breakfast foods in advance for Saturday night stays).

We stayed here last weekend with my wife, my daughter and mother-in-law just for a night. Tom at the front desk is awesome. Very reassuring that things would be kept in line and they were. We didn't even get in until about midnight and had a good night sleep and left without any issues. The rooms were great. If we are in the area again, we would definitely consider staying here.

That should have been my first red flag. My receipt was sent via text. I notified Barbara that we would check in late and I would have a pet. We roll into the room at 1:30 am. About 7 am my dog starts growling. I think someone was trying to get into the room. Before 8 am a man and woman knock on the door, asking who I am, what am I doing here, I'm not supposed to be here, and threaten to call the cops. I told them talk to Barbara and they said they would still call the cops. "Call them". I have no idea what is going on. As for the room, quite possibly the worst night of sleep I ever had on the double bed. The room is dark , small, and the bathroom super tiny. We were blessed to have two towels. Regardless, I paid for two nights. I could care less about the second night. Stay away from this spot! Update: Barbara apologized perfusely and refunded my second night. Since I made my reservation early the "staff" wasn't aware the i paid for two nights. The couple are/were a little rough around the edges. On my end, they had nothing on (name tag/work shirt/polo) that identified them as workers. It was quite scary especially traveling with my family. I appreciate Barbara showing up and explaining.

Never again. I wish…read moreI could leave negative Stars purely on the treatment from management and ethics. To be fair there are some good points but I guess I will address those first number one the Ambiance is very nice if you like history an old architecture it's worth popping in if you are near nearby. I will also say that I am pretty critical on my coffee but it appears the coffee portion of this restaurant has its own name and I will write an extremely positive review accordingly as the coffee was some of the best I've ever had. That being said the rest of the experience was negative. We should have known something walking in when we saw what appeared to be two other local couples going to the cute little restaurant next door which looked reasonably busy and when we went in there's only one other couple there. That should have been a red flag. But it looks so quaint and Charming we wanted to try it. Her breakfast was fair but it's hard to mess up whipped cream and strawberries LOL you'd almost have to be pure evil not to like the combination LOL. My breakfast however was a disappointing experience say the least.... let me preface this with the fact that I have a pretty decent barometer 4 brisket as my buddies and I smoke brisket all the time and have been in some competitions. That being said for approximately $14 for breakfast skillet that better be some damn good brisket. And it wound up being very rubbery!!! and just taste it off like it had been sitting out forever.!!! On top of that after taking only one bite decided to send it back and the waitress could not care less and took $3 off the bill ....? basically you're telling me I ate $11 worth of Skillet after I told you to come back and have the chef taste it please!!!!!!!????? it was like it was microwaved from the previous night The sauce on it was like knock off ketchup packets or should i say katsup! Lol Rude and discourteous to say the least I'm sorry the Ambiance is great and the coffee was actually one of the best cups I ever had but to charge for food that I wouldn't even give our dogs!! just wrong and then to not even care about it no.!! We saw everyone going next door and wondered why some place so large had such little business. Now we know why all the locals were going next door and why a restaurant next to a restaurant still survives. After you eat here you will be eating next door also.

The hotel of proclaimed "limitless romance" sits awkward and unassumingly on a back road between commercial businesses. The rooms are lined buildings like windowless townhouses, almost eerie until we found our room number and pulled into our personal garage. I had been waiting months for this visit because, as expected in the Midwest, hotel rooms with personal pools can be a hot commodity so I booked WAY in advance. For a price tag of over five hundred dollars, the Grand Royal Pool Suite gave us every amenity I could've imagined; soaking tub, two person shower, plush robes, electric fire place, soft king bed, sauna and what we really drove all that way there for, our own personal, private swimming pool. During our stay at Belamere Suites we found indulgence, comfort and, as advertised, limitless romance.

The hotel is tucked away in the middle of an industrial park surrounded by semi trucks, which immediately ruined any romantic atmosphere we were hoping for. To make things even stranger, there were pieces of childlike artwork oddly placed on the outside of the buildings--nothing about it felt romantic or inviting. Inside the room, things didn't improve much. While it was clean, the rose petals placed on the bed were fake, which felt cheap and undermined the "luxury" experience they advertise. The fireplace clicked nonstop whenever we tried to use it, making it impossible to relax. The worst part of the stay was the noise. Our neighbor spent the entire evening screaming at a football game. I called the front desk to complain about the noise, and the only solution they offered was to "drive the golf cart around." The yelling stopped for about 30 minutes and then started right back up. At that point, any romantic vibe I was trying to create for our anniversary was completely gone. We were so aggravated--especially considering the extravagant price tag--that it was clear we weren't going to sleep or enjoy ourselves. We ultimately decided to leave at midnight and just go home. When I called to request some sort of reimbursement, I was offered 50% off a future stay. I honestly found that laughable--I wouldn't return even at $100 a night. This was a memorable anniversary for all the wrong reasons, and I cannot recommend Belamere Suites based on our experience.

The water in the splash park was SO cold we could only stay in for 15 minutes before my daughters' lips turned blue. Total waste of money! All night long children were running through the halls, even playing ding dong ditch. The guests directly upstairs sounded like a herd of elephants ALL NIGHT LONG. There was nothing else about this hotel and waterpark was even average. I have never had such consistently poor service from any other vacation-type destination. Check-in is woefully understaffed and results in lines. We had to have our room key remade twice because it stopped working... There was a ten minute wait at the front desk both times. The in-house restaurant is where we found the worst service. It was as though they were surprised to see guests, and after our experience, I see why. We ate dinner there and waited to place our order, waited for drinks, burgers were overcooked, and all three burgers were gone by the time the mustard we requested made it to the table. We made the mistake of eating at the breakfast buffet the next morning. We waited 25 minutes to be seated, while staring at several (not sure if it was 4 or 5) empty tables the entire time. Once seated, it was another 20 minutes before anyone stopped to take a drink order, and then another 10 minutes before we received our bill. My family will never return to this location.

I saw a single desk clerk running around all morning taking care of people, answering the phone and cleaning up tables in the afternoon. She was too young to be a manager and shouldn't have been working by herself with so many people running around needing help. There was an older lady handling the food prep for the breakfast and she was pretty much alone too. I caught a glimpse of a young man walking around with a mop and bucket, but no other staff the entire morning and afternoon I was in the hotel helping my sister and nephew get their stuff packed up. Three people on staff all day long is a terrible idea. The same clerk who had been rushing around taking care of people all day got yelled at by some other lady and no one stepped up to stop that lady from tearing into the poor clerk. The clerk didn't do anything wrong and kept her cool even when that lady accused her of being lazy and not doing a good job. Poor clerk was on the verge of tears but stayed professional after that other lady stormed out with a bug up her butt. I don't know what the lady's problem was, but she had no business being that rude and demeaning to a person who was just doing her job. Why wasn't there a manager there to support that clerk and help out with so many people in the hotel? Why wasn't there a manager helping to clean up the hotel? Why aren't there more staff present throughout the day in general? If a business or service is supposed to be available 24-7, then there needs to be a manager and full staff on call 24-7 too.
