As soonest we stepped in all of us gasped. The Inn is stunning! It is designed beautifully and with lots of love. The bedrooms are spacious, the bathroom well equipped and the bed is super comfortable. The common space/living room and kitchen invites to take a home made cookie or a slice of home made bread, coffee or tea or just to stay a while and gather. We also loved the handwritten welcome note on our night stand. One of the Inn keepers greeted us the next morning with a 'garden to table' breakfast that tasted amazing! I can say this much: we are already planning our next trip to the Ann Harbor/Dexter area and will definitely stay there again.

The food was honestly so so delicious - we had the: *Thanksgiving Turkey (Our turkey is brined in thyme, sage, rosemary, garlic, shallots, juniper berries and black pepper then cooked sous vide for 24 hours to slowly develop the flavor, growing juicy and succulent along the way. The turkey is served semi-deconstructed with the turkey crown separated and wishbone removed. The legs, thighs and back meat are all hand-pulled for easy display and serving. This will be the most delicious turkey your family has ever tasted. ) - they had portions for 4 or 8 so we got the 4....it was PLENTY of food even though it didn't seem like it at first. No dry turkey for us this year as this was wonderfully succulent indeed! *Crookneck Squash Soup ( Crookneck squash is at its peak in late November and is our favorite choice for our creamy squash soup. Its deep orange color, sweet and nutty flavor is the perfect start to your Thanksgiving feast!) - Kind of like a butternut squash soup and this was sooo silky, luscious with a touch of sweetness. I was obsessed with this soup! *Crispy Stuffing (Our immensely flavorful and crispy breadcrumb stuffing is made with sage, thyme, rosemary, onion, garlic, celery and leeks. This stuffing is made with meat stock.) - my only complaint is that I should've ordered 2 of these!! This was so great - no soggy stuffing from Cornman! *Turkey Gravy - It came with a really great guide on re-heating and timing. So clutch and we followed it to a tee for a perfect Thanksgiving meal. I also will note - I forgot to order an item and THEN a week later, I asked to move up my pick up time. Each time, Tabitha responded IMMEDIATELY and was so kind about it. So shout out Tabitha! FYI - they moved the pick up location! It's actually fairly intuitive as it's now in the main barn. It was really nice that they had hot tea and coffee available for free as it was frigid out. We had our "elopement" package wedding here and it was such a smooth and easy experience from start to finish, with an online portal to log communications and action items. The CMF team kept us organized with to do lists, and were quickly responsive to any questions. They were kind, courteous, and professional. Even though it is their day to day job, they really modeled the enthusiasm and care for our event as if it was just as special to them as it was to us! I love that the elopement package really included everything - florals, photography, dinner, cake, event coordinator, officiant, etc, so that we didn't have to really plan or figure out any outside vendors. The sit down dinner menu was curated with our input, featuring farm to table chef creations. Just an example of the level of customer service - my mother in law really loved the fennel fried broccoli we had with dinner. I messaged the team after our wedding on Instagram just noting that we loved it and wondering if they might share a hint on how it was prepared so we could attempt to recreate (and of course would have understood if they couldn't share any info)... they ended up emailing me the actual recipe and were glad we loved! Besides our wedding, we have also enjoyed visiting for their food pop ups! The fish and chips dinner is huge and tasty, and we have loved the pie and mash as well. They have a nice online shop where you can order food and beverage items to go as well as other merchandise. We also love that we can get a slice of our wedding cake (a classic Zingerman's flavor) from the bakehouse more or less whenever we want :). More important to you, it's nestled in a beautiful neighborhood about one mile to most elements of the U of M central campus. So you can walk, if you're so inclined, and five to ten minutes in a car gets you to any number of important or interesting places. Parking is on the street, which turned out to be no problem, as there always were plenty of spaces near the entry sidewalk. Perhaps it's helpful to say that the Stone Chalet campus is the site of a former Unitarian church. That's how I remember it, driving/jogging by during student years. Therese remembers it was the site of piano recitals. Anyway, the former "main building" has been converted to an event center (we didn't spend much time there) and the former parsonage converted to guest quarters. Our room was Alice-in-Wonderland themed, spacious and cozy for an autumn visit. Breakfast was ordered via an app, with many choices, including gluten-free options for Therese. If you want a good and even inspiring conversation, seek out the owner Vincent, who can share some fascinating stories about real estate and his efforts to purchase, maintain, and make profitable the Stone Chalet property. Seating was comfortable and there was enough room between guests, without feeling crowded. The church was repurposed as a venue in 2021 and what a great idea this was, both preserving history and giving locals the opportunity to experience life changing events inside. Outside, the church has quaint architecture and is located on a quiet street. Everything comes together to make Water To Wine Venue And Hall a perfect choice for people who love history and want a quaint setting for their events.

Our event hosts were wonderful and gracious, but I can't help but feel terrible seeing how uncomfortable people were here. We attended a wedding here with roughly 150 people, and it was incredibly tight, hot, and uncomfortable. The chairs and tables set up for dinner were jam-packed so tight, that no one was seated comfortably, sitting with the tables pressing into our stomachs as we ate. For one person to stand up and leave the row, the entire row had to stand up and step out of the row to make room. There was also no room to move around between tables, and because of this, it took almost an entire hour just to get all the attendees through the buffet. Even after getting food, the lack of space meant nobody could get a water refill (which could've been avoided had they been filled before guests were seated), or get up to use the bathroom. Speaking of which, there were only 3 working toilets in the entire venue, one of which had a door that didn't lock, and apparently had flooded earlier in the day. I would strongly recommend ownership take a look at their liability if there was an emergency in the room with so many people and so little ability to move. In addition to being much too small for 200 people, the area set up for the dance floor is clearly not fit to have even 50 people dancing. With roughly 30 dancers, the floor visibly bowed up and down to a dangerous level. It also appears there is no air conditioning at this venue, the heat inside the building was incredibly uncomfortable, even when it was only 75 degrees outside. There were only 2 ceiling fans in the main area. What's worse, was the lack of water. There was no water brought up to the main area until very late in the evening, you had to walk downstairs to get more, and no additional cups were provided for anyone to get the water that was provided. Parking was also an issue, it was necessary to have everyone double or even triple park to fit everyone in, there is absolutely not enough space for a 200-person event to park at this facility. Overall, the event space is beautiful and gorgeously decorated, but is clearly only fit for smaller events of less than 100 people. I would highly recommend the ownership of this venue revise their recommendations for party sizes.

She knows her way around so please feel welcomed to ask her for directions. Her cozy abode is quirky at first but you'll be drawn by the deep passion this lady has for these knickknacks. Home is well furnished: community bathroom, community kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and dining room (red room) for breakfast. Very clean and full of color. She cooks a pretty good "eggs in a basket" dish that's a scramble of eggs, asparagus, almonds, cranberries, and chicken/asiago cheese sausages. Croissant (so good!), coffee, tea, and orange juice is also available. She's very accommodating so don't be afraid to ask. The only issues we came across were the extra soft beds and fleece sheets that may be uncomfortable for some. Room's aren't too spacious but enough to house two people comfortably (but who stays in on a vacation?). She does have cats but they stay in her room and may roam in the breakfast area. I'm allergic to cats but they were not a problem for me at all. Please do keep the library bed and breakfast in mind the next time you come to Ann Arbor as her price is comparable and she'll make your experience a pleasurable memory!

The owner, Joan Knoertzer, indicated that she was late for an appointment, but asked for a minute, then came back and told us to come by anyway! We arrive to a non-description residence covered with grapevines and trees on Mary Street, just off the busy corner of Packard and State. You could almost throw a rock and hit the Athletic Administration building we were so close! We parked on the street and walked up the curving steps to warmly greeted by a wonderful lady decked out in full Maize and Blue. This was just the beginning, as we entered which could best described as a bibliophile paradise crossed with a museum to all things Ann Arbor/ U of M. Climbing the steps, you first encounter the Poetry and Mystery Rooms, followed by a full Pullman kitchen and sitting area. If your into Ann Arbor's past, you'll find two great hanging lights from the old Pretzel Bell Restaurant, surrounded by books of all types. Last is the Tiny Book Room, which is filled with - you guessed it - tiny books. We had a great dinner later than night at Melting Pot (review forthcoming) and went to bed early and slept great. We woke up the next morning to amazing smells coming from downstairs, where we and another couple were greeted to fresh coffee, OJ, homemade pumpkin bread and pumpkin butter! This was followed by a fruit course and an amazing quiche. Mixed with a wonderful conversation, we felt like we were totally at home. Even the three cats, Kipling, Cinnamon and, well, I forget the third, treated us well. We then spent the next hour talking about everything books - we just didn't want to leave! Trust me, there is no better place to stay in AA, especially for the price and the food. Try it, you won't be sorry!

This Victorian facility was actively used for about 100 years until the 1980s when Amtrak, which by then was the operator of most of the remaining US passenger train operations, decided to cease service to Chelsea. The effort to restore the building began in 1985 by concerned members of the community who formed the Chelsea Depot Association. They clearly have done a superb job. It now appears to function as an event venue for weddings, etc. It also remains a structure to admire on the exterior as well.

I dont quite remember the capacity of the depot but we were able to set up many tables and chairs (that are provided in the rental). The kitchen area was large and cold and warm storage was available. We rented in the month of december and the depot was decorated lovely.
