While they don't offer boutique bowling like several nearby centers; henceforth, you can enjoy old school style bowling, in a completely clean, and smoke free environment. Lodge Lanes has been around since 1965, when they opened with 16 lanes. A few years later on they expanded to the present day 40 lanes, as the bowling boom of the 1960s and 1970s swept America by storm. Likewise, this was a move designed to compete with the nearby Zana Bowl, just off Main Street in downtown Belleville, which closed in the 1990s. While many nearby bowling centers charge some rather high prices; Lodge Lanes has some of most affordable prices in the Metro Detroit area. For instance, on Tuesdays and Thursday's, you can bowl for $2.00 per game, or $10.00 an hour. Even better, if your a senior citizen (age 50 and older) you bowl for $1.60 per game during open bowling hours. I found that the House Shot uses medium-to-heavy oil during open bowling, and heavy oil during league competition. There's a pro-shop at Lodge Lanes that can polish or sand your bowling ball accordingly to whatever oil condition is being used on their new synthetic lanes. So do yourself a favor, and enjoy some fun times with your family or friends at Lodge Lanes. You'll have a lot of fun.

I'm not sure how much renting this place out costs, so that could be an issue. Also, the parking is obviously limited given that it's downtown. Awesome auditorium on the Eastern Michigan campus…read more Tonight was my first time visiting for an Art Spiegelman lecture and I was impressed by how beautiful it was. Definitely wasn't expecting it to look as awesome as it did. The crazy organ pipes at the back of the stage made a wonderful backdrop for all the photos I snuck with my cell phone! It's nice because it's big but not huge. It feels like you could probably have a good view no matter where you are and the acoustics are fantastic. A good mid-sized venue. They don't have a ton of events or shows there but there have been some impressive acts that have come through recently (most notably Gotye and Phoenix within the last year and half and the Killers and Russell Brand in the past). Some of the feedback on here has centered around the seats being small and cramped but I have a bad back and long legs and I felt okay tonight? But then again I was also REALLY into the lecture so maybe I just didn't notice. I was also in the second row and it may be tighter in rows further back? I'm not sure. But I thought it was ok. Overall a great auditorium that I hope to catch a show at again in the future.

Accoustics are very good here, too. On the downside, the seating is small and cramped. It was built to pack in a lot of people, and doesn't have a lot of leg room for anyone over about 5'6". On the whole, though, if you get a chance to see an event here, go for it. It's a truly beautiful venue.

The main dinner took place in a large tent, which kept the light rain off us but still let us enjoy the cool evening breezes. Staff at the bar were very friendly and accommodating. After dinner the rain had stopped and some went up to the barn to dance, others went to chill in a small shed very comfortably appointed with cushy couches and chairs; we hit the boogie barn for another glass of wine, then strolled down to the campfire on the shore of the small pond. A waterside gazebo was nearby if you wanted some shelter. My main quibble came as we were walking out. There are no lights in the parking area and it was a little difficult to find the row we'd parked in. As well lit as the area around the buildings was, couldn't one light be put in the parking area? Still, a very pleasant night, and I'd be happy to return.

Every space feels intentional and special, and the venue offers multiple areas to explore and host different parts of the event while still flowing together seamlessly. Kelly and Ed have done an amazing job building The Valley into the ultimate wedding venue. They are a true well-oiled wedding machine -- they know the ins and outs of weddings, provide expert guidance, and have an incredibly professional staff that makes the large task of wedding planning feel so much simpler. Their organization and experience made everything easier from start to finish. The location is also wonderful: just 10-15 minutes outside of Ann Arbor and close enough to a major airport to make travel easy for out-of-town guests. My now-husband and I would not have had our wedding anywhere else. Our wedding day truly felt like a dream, and we could not be more grateful.

All of the venue's seats are stacked nicely so that there is no bad viewpoint. The seats are relatively comfortable and the theater is clean. The stage is large and there are good acoustics throughout. We appreciated that snacks were for sale during intermission; we bought some candied nuts that were a nice snack in the second half. Overall a great performance venue!

I went here last night for a dramatic reading of Death of a Salesman, starring Alec Baldwin ... I'm…read morea huge Baldwin fan so I snagged tickets for it. I hadn't been to the Power Center since undergrad (I'm a UM '09 grad), so I had no clue what the parking situation would be like. I used Google Maps to get there and FYI, it's not entirely accurate - it brings you to the Fletcher Center parking structure. It was $5 cash to park there, but I wish I knew to park on level 5 (where access to Power Center is) because I parked on level 2 and then took the elevator up. There's no signage regarding this, by the way - I had to ask the lady who was taking money for parking. The Power Center itself has a unique layout, and our seats (mid-balcony, row D, I believe) were very good - you could see the stage very well. The performance was great, too. They have bathrooms on the basement level (go down 1 flight of stairs from the main area) and also on the balcony level, but at least for the women's bathroom, there were only about 4-5 stalls on that level. I'd come back here again for a performance - seats are a lot nicer than Hill's (you have much more room) and I'm willing to bet that there's not a bad viewpoint in the house.

It's located half way between Ann Arbor and Jackson, more closer to Jackson then Ann Arbor.... it's only 20 minute drive from here...
