I mad a mistake when reserving a room but she was able to correct it to two queen beds with no hassle! Our room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. After my show I crushed a workout in their huge gym. They had dumbells, machines, bikes and treadmills making any work out very accessible. After I woke up I had hot breakfast of eggs, toast and some oatmeal. The spread was huge! My partner had sausage, coffee and toast. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel and I will definitely stay here next time I am in town.

I saw a single desk clerk running around all morning taking care of people, answering the phone and cleaning up tables in the afternoon. She was too young to be a manager and shouldn't have been working by herself with so many people running around needing help. There was an older lady handling the food prep for the breakfast and she was pretty much alone too. I caught a glimpse of a young man walking around with a mop and bucket, but no other staff the entire morning and afternoon I was in the hotel helping my sister and nephew get their stuff packed up. Three people on staff all day long is a terrible idea. The same clerk who had been rushing around taking care of people all day got yelled at by some other lady and no one stepped up to stop that lady from tearing into the poor clerk. The clerk didn't do anything wrong and kept her cool even when that lady accused her of being lazy and not doing a good job. Poor clerk was on the verge of tears but stayed professional after that other lady stormed out with a bug up her butt. I don't know what the lady's problem was, but she had no business being that rude and demeaning to a person who was just doing her job. Why wasn't there a manager there to support that clerk and help out with so many people in the hotel? Why wasn't there a manager helping to clean up the hotel? Why aren't there more staff present throughout the day in general? If a business or service is supposed to be available 24-7, then there needs to be a manager and full staff on call 24-7 too.

The room was clean and tidy, no foul or odd smells. The HVAC system had a contstant-on setting, which we like. The room was quiet, and we could not hear neighbors or outside traffic. The shower provided plenty of hot water with no fluctuations. The only ding I have is the ice machine; we stayed on the second floor, and the ice machine is located on the first floor. Not a huge deal, but keep that in mind. We did not use the pool, and we technically didn't get downstairs in time for breakfast. (Although, we got downstairs just after breakfast ended, and there was still plenty of food available.) We'd have no trouble spending another night here again, anytime!

Awful. I'll give two stars because the sheets seemed clean and the breakfast was good. I can't…read moreconfirm the cleanliness though. The beds may have been remade after the last guests instead of stripped and changed. None of the ice machines worked. The pool was "closed until further notice due to maintenance issues". Who knows how long they've been closed. Floors could definitely be cleaner. $149 for one night is wild for this level of disappointment. My friend and I were traveling on motorcycles though and needed somewhere to rest on our way back to NY where we live. Not good.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quick check in, the cleanliness of the hotel lobby area and my room. The fitness room was small but well equipped so I could get a good workout in after a day of driving. I had a quiet room that overlooked fields in the back. I felt safe and comfortable and I got a decent nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was decent too. The only drawback for this hotel is that if you want dinner, you're going to have to drive a bit down into Montpelier or Bryan as the options directly around the hotel are limited. I was not inclined to go out again, so I ended up eating the snacks I brought for dinner.

This area doesn't have a lot of hotels but there's a Quality Inn, a motel, and this hotel all within a block or two. I have the IHG credit card so I chose this hotel. I booked a room with 2 queen beds since it was cheaper than 1 king; upon check-in, I asked if they had any kings, hoping maybe I would get a free upgrade since I have silver status with them, but unfortunately they said a room with a king bed would be $30 more, so I kept my original room. Pros: -spacious room, and the bed was comfortable -only three floors and you're never far from the elevator -has both a minifridge and a microwave. The minifridge was rather tall actually and when I tried to open the fridge it kept moving a little bit -free breakfast and some of the reviews on here were complaining about it, whereas others called it a continental breakfast. It was a typical of IHG breakfasts I have experienced lately and it actually had quite a lot of hot options too -The Wi-Fi was fast and mostly reliable, however it would not work for my Nintendo Switch. I had no issues for my iPad and phones though. Cons: -rooms are definitely a bit dated. However, my room was very clean. -No restaurant on site but that is typical of Holiday Inn Express hotels that I have stayed at. There's a restaurant attached to Quality Inn called JJ Winns that I did takeout from, which was good. -The minifridge was actually too cold; I put a bottle of water in the side door so I would have it for pills for the morning and it was actually mostly ice in the morning unfortunately. I'm sure this can be adjusted but I didn't think to do so. Overall I would stay here again, it was an adequate stay and the price wasn't too bad either (about $122 for the night, before taxes, comparable to the other hotels in the area).
