It's a great location for social gatherings, events, weddings and more. The rooms aren't over decorated so it would be easy to make the space your own. Additionally the staff was friendly and helpful. The current art installment will be up until May we were told. It's definitely worth a stroll through to check out these transient installations. I'm looking forward to having the event here and seeing how well the space functions with 100+ guests. I saw there was a trendy new coffee shop being completed next door. That's something the West Blvd area needs!

The small rooms give you a chance to examine artists' work at a very close distance. I enjoy the fact Charlotte is finding diverse voices in the arts and showcasing them in grand fashion. There was no fee for our school tour. The location 1429 Bryant St. is right by uptown and seemed like they had street parking. (I visited with my school's art students so we rode the school bus:).

First of all, I really like this theater. Of course it's not as big as Blumenthal (Belk), but I love the size of this theater. Due to its size, you always get a good view of the stage wherever you sit (especially referring to the rows downstairs). Also, it's a really nice, clean theater (think renovated recently...but I could be wrong). One thing that could use some improvement is the spacing between the rows of seats. It's so tight, it's truly hard to get past folks in the same row...say, if you arrive a bit late, or is trying to get out! I also noticed that for the last visit, there were some chairs out in the lobby...Yay to that! Lastly, I also like the acoustics at this theater. Everything seems to be on point However, there are a few things that I found a bit offputting. For this last performance, they didn't 't allow any photography now (even without flash?)...which I don't quite get. I DID manage to take a few pics, but before the show started. Good thing...'cuz I didn't realize it was forbidden. Maybe I didn't know any better, but I recall taking pics during the performances in the past. Maybe it's a new policy...or maybe it depends on the performance?? Last thing I wanted to mention was that after the show, there's this sense that they want us out quickly...as in pronto! I don't understand why the place can't be more hospitable, and stay open for at least 30 minutes after the concert...so folks can chat, drink, etc.etc. I mean, it was Saturday night...and really not that late either! On this last concert (Beethoven Symphony #5), they sort of bum-rushed us out by 9:45 pm (concert ended at around 9:30 pm)...and I was basically the last person inside...Why? I was waiting for my husband to pick me up in the car, and I didn't want to stand outside in the cold. Well, at 9:45 pm, I noticed that I was the last one in the place, and the ushers were sort of giving me the eye...basically bum-rushing me out! WOW. I don't recall that happening at any other late-night venue in town...where folks are encouraged to leave only 10-15 minutes, following a concert. So anyway, that's my take on the place. 5 stars for the space, cleanliness and acoustics...but 2 stars for service (not sure how I'd describe this rushing folks out part lol!). Since I'm a fan of this theater, I'll still drop 4 stars...but just wanted to mention that I'm NOT a fan of the near-rude service after the performance.

Educators night was perfect evening as an educator to collaborate, connect and enjoy their beautiful exhibits. Mario Moore exhibit was captivating and breathtaking! The food provided was amazing: lemon pepper wing, fried cabbage, mac and cheese, veggie spring rolls and peach cobbler for dessert. Delicious! I enjoyed my time at the Gantt Center and I hope you enjoy their exhibits.

It has been a long time since I've been to IPH so it was nice to see other things around it (instead of just being the lone wolf). Large parking lot, but seems to be busier now with new neighbors around the theater. Still have options to take the light rail (Sugar Creek stop) and ride shares. Looks like they also have the neighborhood car-share (if you live fairly close). I love the accessibility of films here as well as community involvement and use for meeting spaces. Overall a definite plus for a city like Charlotte.

The Spectrum Center is honestly one of the best stadiums I have ever been to…read more We were here for a Hornets game and our hotel was right across the street. It was super convenient to be so close to the stadium so we didn't have to deal with parking. The entrance was easy to go through and the stadium was easy to navigate. The seats are world class! They're so comfortable and the leg room was nice! Being 5'10", it's hard to find stadiums where I don't feel crammed into my seat. Because this was a basketball game, I can't really review the acoustics. However, it was loud and the music playing on the speakers was clear as day. Concessions were average in price, exactly what you expect to pay for a game. Spectrum Center 10/10

I was in town for the Cardi B concert and the Spectrum arena was probably the easiest arena to…read morenavigate. With thousands of people waiting outside it only took like 15 minutes to get in. We prepaid for parking, so once we located the lot we easily found a spot in the 12 floor garage; which was right across from the arena. All the staff was friendly and helpful, from the outside to the security helping on the inside. Even the food and drinks were a pretty decent price. The lines at concession were not long. They have a very good set up here.

I was sitting with the sun beating down directly on me and it was HOT so it was kind of a miserable experience for me, but it was fun to see them win. There was shade and cooling mist outside where the concessions are. We did not purchase any food or drinks besides a reusable cup to get soda because I needed a refreshing coke after sitting in the heat. You can refill the cup as much as you want for $10 (I think is how much it costed). The lines to get the soda were a bit annoying though during halftime. Ice also ran out but they refilled it eventually.

The bar did run out of certain mixers for different cocktails which was disappointing especially knowing they were hosting a large crowd prior to a large sporting event. The line for the bar was rather long even though there were quite a few bartenders in the suite. I did love the ambience and the ability to watch the game away from all the action. Restaurant choices in the stadium were a little scarce + it was mainly fast food. I do understand it's a stadium but it would be nice if there were more than 2-3 options to pick up food. Signage was very confusing especially getting out of the suite to my actual seat. My seat was a few floors down from the suite and it felt like a maze to get to my seat + many agents seemed like they were giving simple directions but it took quite a while to finally figure out the signage and area after asking 4 people.
