She scanned the item I had placed on the belt, I saw "insert card" on the card machine, so I inserted card. I saw that she obviously was having trouble with the order. So I said, politely "trouble with the computer?" She said nothing. Eventually she said " Take your card out", so I did. She then just froze, saying nothing, not moving. Then she picked up the phone there and said something. I then politely said, should I go to another check out?". She said nothing! Then another lady came up, and cleared the register. I saw "insert card", and asked her "Should I insert the card?" She said NOTHING. Eventually the order was completed, and was handed the receipt. I waited about 5 seconds to be told "Thank you", but she said NOTHING! So, I loudly said "You're Welcome!". She said nothing. As I walked off I said loudly "You should go to friendly school!" She said nothing. What an unfriendly and rude person!!!!!!! The reciept does not have her names on it, but "Supervisor #9033" . At bottom: C0124 #0128 15:21:02 10Feb2025. She was working register farthest to the left that was staffed. left looking out. She, and whoever trained her, are terrible at their jobs!

There's other things just haven't tried yet because the fudge is so good. Not only do they sell confectionery items, they've made the selfless act of providing sections for other vendors to sell their products. Plenty of a variety of products ranging from other delicious edible items to decorative and functional items like wooden cutting boards. It's hard to describe the amazing talent displayed in this review. The least I can do is give a snapshot of what I saw. Keep in mind there were many open booths, so a new vendor may appear and while I was there I saw another vendor just moving their product in. I didn't want to disturb their progress so I wasn't able to capture their product line. I did find a vendor I previously purchased which to me was a great find as I live on the Northshore and this vendor is out of the Westbank. I don't go down there as often so it's not really wise to travel that far for a few items to feed my sweet tooth. I also saw one vendor booth that's typically setup at the local street event. Now you don't have to wait for those events to get your product. I would recommend stopping in from time to time to see any new items or vendors and if you haven't been, GO. You won't be disappointed.

The goal is to push the boundaries of flavor and texture to create tantalizing, sinfully delicious fudges. Discovered this family-run business at a Covington Festival and Chef and Founder, Chef Ari had her boys helping to give out samples and count correct change for customers; which was charming and so rare to see someone actually parenting kids these days. A small chalkboard announced both sugar-free/Keto-friendly and had versions of vegan fudge. The sugar-free/Keto-friendly dark chocolate fudge was exactly the amount of cash I had left after other purchases at the event. Providence, you say? Yes, I believe it was. The fudge was heavenly, irresistible and gone before I knew it!! I had found my kryptonite but, thank the stars, it was Keto!! Highly recommend to anyone who has a sweet tooth, may be diabetic, Keto or vegan as well as for you carb-lovers. She ships, and you're supporting a military USMC family. What could be more perfect? They have bins of loose dry beans, tamarind, hibiscus, and more you can bag yourself. There are some shelves of pastries in the back by the butcher counter. The butcher is worth noting because it was pretty cheap, or at least the chicken was: drumsticks $0.59/lb, leg quarters on special for $0.49/lb. The meat is not pre-packaged, so if you wanted to buy just one drumstick you could. Spanish seems the primary language - obviously - but they understood my pathetic "cuarto pieces" request. There is also a food counter with some plastic tables set up as a dining area. I didn't see a menu, but I didn't look too hard. Food looked pretty good. Easy enough to get to, shares a sizable parking lot, worth checking out.

They specialize in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine as well as true Southern staples. My favorite meal, and a great value for our family is the 1 pound-gyro box, which is enough to feed my family with four pita sandwiches and extra homemade Taziki sauce. I've tried their fried chicken, gizzards, po-boys & salads - nothing has disappointed. Everything is perfectly seasoned with spices, never dry and leaves you satisfied, portion-wise. Fun Fact: They offer the biggest po-boy in town... 32 inchs!! And my oyster po-boy that fed the office was very reasonably priced. Much less than a neighboring competitors. The owner, Mo, Is very friendly and always has a smile and a kind word his customers. Mo is begging me to try one of his new specials, beef gyro? That will definitely be my next review for this Slidell gem.
