They have bins of loose dry beans, tamarind, hibiscus, and more you can bag yourself. There are some shelves of pastries in the back by the butcher counter. The butcher is worth noting because it was pretty cheap, or at least the chicken was: drumsticks $0.59/lb, leg quarters on special for $0.49/lb. The meat is not pre-packaged, so if you wanted to buy just one drumstick you could. Spanish seems the primary language - obviously - but they understood my pathetic "cuarto pieces" request. There is also a food counter with some plastic tables set up as a dining area. I didn't see a menu, but I didn't look too hard. Food looked pretty good. Customer service is Horrible in the bakery. On November 9, 2021 my uncle surprised our family with…read morepetit fours from Cash Savers on Pontchartrain in Slidell. To my surprise some were stale. On November 10, 2021 I returned to the store and spoke with Dave the manager about my concern. As Dave guided me to the bakery area he asked a bakery associate to assist me . With an unprofessional attitude the associate responded to Dave "What?". As the associate approached the counter to assist me, I was asked " What did I want?" I was surprised at the disrespect to the manager and I was surprised at the disrespect to me the customer. Upon briefly discussing my concerns about the associates attitude with the manager I was then discredited for my concerns about the stale petit fours by another bakery associate. As I discussed my concerns with the associate about the stale petit fours, the associate proceeded to tell me how hard she work. REALLY!!!!!All I wanted were FRESH petit fours. I was told by the associate she could not promise me the other petit fours were not going to be fresher than the ones I was returning. REALLY!!!!! I was also told it's common practice for the petit fours to be rotated. My understanding of " ROTATED" is.... the fresh petit fours are put in the front of the display case and the not so fresh petit fours are moved to the back of the case. Therefore, we received " NOT SO FRESH" petit fours. What was really hilarious was they wanted to give me a refund and give me more " STALE" petit fours-after trying to discredit me about my concerns. Dave also suggested I listen to the poor ole bakery workers explanation of why I was given "STALE" petit fours. Wow!!!! Before leaving the store I requested the store owners name, the bakery associates names and the phone number of where the store owner could be reached. I called and left a message for the store owner to call me ASAP to express my concerns of how I was treated. The store owner returned my call. I wasn't surprised by the feedback I received from him. I requested an in person meeting with him to discuss with him about how I was treated. His response was " You were given your money back". Wow!!! This kind of behavior from associates and NOT So FRESH petit fours must be the norm at CASH SAVERS. I didn't want anything for free. I just wanted FRESH petit fours which my Uncle had already paid for. I WILL NOT shop at Cash Savers and I recommend you don't either! Apparently, Bobby Lishman doesn't care. He didn't want to hear my concern. I'm a BLACK woman

It doesn't have EVERYTHING, but it's got the basics and most popular cut choices. The only big problem I have with this store is the lack of registers with associates in it. Normally, I can't say enough good things about the employees at this location. They've all been so very helpful. The ball headed a gentleman. The glass was quite rude. When I asked him his name, he told me he doesn't give out his name. He continued to be very curt. It may be only my opinion, but I believe people who are in contact with the public at large should at least be courteous, even if they're having a bad day. To the management of the store, I would pull him off the register and put someone that could at least greet people with a smile and make them feel welcome instead of feeling like they were an imposition and purchasing products. I told the gentleman I would pray for him he says oh no, don't pray for me the last time I prayed I lost my wife and my daughter. Again making me feel even worse for this man. I don't know his situation and I can empathize with losing your loved ones. I also believe that when you go to work, you leave your personal problems at home. It's not the setting to divulge such information when someone was trying to go out of their way to be nice to them realizing it may just be a off day for them. I don't believe that I will be shopping at the Aldi any longer.
