Golf

Pretty golf course in Queens. I liked it better than Kissena or Clearview because of how they set up the course. Was fun to play.

What a really nice golf course that's well kept. The green here is beautiful and the staff really does go above and beyond to make sure the green is well looked after. A pretty course with lots of hills. One of the only courses nearby that isn't a private golf club so this is nice to be able to come here.

First of all why am I paying $2.75 for parking when I am already paying $55 to play here. Second there are no water coolers during the front 9. Only at the mid section of 9, 10 and by 13. What about the front 9?? I was dying of thirst! There's a gate that blocks off the golf carts from entering the parking lot. So we had to carry our bags to the car then drive the cart back to the clubhouse then walk back to the car....wtf if I knew I would have just parked down the street and walked past the parking lot fee. The course is very hilly with tons of blind greens. Course is decently maintained, except for garbage flying around the course. I saw a couple plastic cups, napkins flying around the course.

Nice local course ; if you want to play a in a non crowded undisrupted Quick game . Reservations are super simple through the "golf now app". The course isn't the best maintained and the guys in pro shop are arrogant and not always the most pleasant to deal with. The reason aside from my high rating is the insight cafe "the 19th hole" is a local staple , the woman who works behind the counter is lovely and always super nice and she is in my opinion the best person who works at this gold course. She will never fail to put a smile on your face after dealing with those others dickos who there.

I used to play this course years ago, back when the city operated it. I used to bring a small hammer with me in order to get a tee into the ground. Thank goodness those days are over. Played a round here about a month ago. In my opinion the course is in great shape (comparing it to the course I remember playing on in the 90's) My only complaint is the day we I played it took close to 6 hours (middle of the week) to finish 18 holes. As mentioned in another review, there a lot of parallel holes, so stay alert. I will be heading out to Douglaston this Wed. If it takes another 6 hours I will have to start looking elsewhere for a round of golf.

They say, you are what you eat. But that's funny, because I don't remember eating a fucking legend!

Gabe has completely transformed my game in the past six months that I have worked with him. For…read morestarters, I went from scoring in the 100-110 range before working with Gabe to shooting as low as 92 in less than a month. This is possible because Gabe has the teaching and playing experience to coach you in all aspects of your game, whether it's course management or building confidence around your shots. Gabe has elevated my awareness of my own swing and helped me stay committed to making long term swing changes. Like many golfers starting out, I still struggle with the basics like consistent contact, club face control, and release. No instructor can transform your swing overnight, but TRUST he will give you the right things to work on and many ways to work on them. As a result, I am making solid contact with the ball more frequently, have 15+ yards in distance per club, and am hitting straighter shots. Most importantly, Gabe will teach you how to be your own coach. Working with Gabe over time has given me the tools to diagnose and straighten out issues in my own swing even on a day when "I just can't seem to hit the ball." It has also taught me to consume the myriad golf content I encounter online with a critical eye. I know what I need to work on thanks to Gabe, and any of the bad rounds I shoot now and going forward would not be for a lack of excellent instruction. If this is helpful context, I picked up golf in 2020, have mediocre natural hand-eye coordination, and am not a particularly quick learner. All that is to say that if Gabe can help my game this much in six months, he can most certainly help anyone. His encyclopedic knowledge of the golf swing would make him a great coach for complete beginners and advanced players alike.

Awesome teacher. His pointers helped the very first game I played. Of course I need to practice but…read moreI now know the correct way to practice. Practice doesn't make perfect Perfect practice does
