Had our new washer and dryer "installed" by your guys. First off he was a complete a$$ to us and apparently it was our fault that he was running behind. He did such a horrible job that he actually took a chunk out of our freshly put up dry wall because he was in such a rush. We couldn't take him doing anymore damage so we im told him to stop. They don't even fit correctly!! I can't put into words how upsetting this is we would have much rather have had us do it ourselves. Do better. read more

HAD used Douglass for washer/dryer purchases & repairs, always. Last washer/dryer combo lasted eighteen years with only 2 repairs...Today was a colossal (and COSTLY) disappointment. Delivery men were exceedingly rude and raised "ineptitude" to a new art form. We called plumbers for repairs after they left, we needed replacement of connections that were broken, along with repair of a pipe they cracked...never had someone with a hammer "haphazardly slam" at things during any installation, before...What's another $500 bucks on top of a horrible stress test and being forced to recognize the need to warn unwary consumers? Very sad to see, what was a great business, represented by the "clown show" we were treated to. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! read more

These Folks have always been the best. My parents used them in the 60's and 70's and I watched thier pleasant, efficient service for the 80's and 90's in a few different companies that I worked for. Now , they do all my service. As they should. They are incredibly fast, always all before they arrive, and are always on time. They have also gone far beyond thier call when I've had problems with a machine , and I felt they have really gone to bat for me. I appreciate that in a company but wouldn't expect any less from these folks. Seriously think about that before you stroll in to best buy or Home Depot and buy a washing machine or a Dryer. Approx. 4 or 5 yrs. ago, I requested worker from Douglass come my condo. He vacuumed (thoroughly) lint screen & container which holds it. He lifted elec. dryer (screws removed..it was atop washer) to really vacuum well underneath; sides. Next, Recently shopped --Debbie (sales assoc.) listened & assisted my choices to purchase a new elec. stainless steel stove. I brought measurements, she assured me it would fit (between 2 sides wood cabinets). Although (Covid 19)? prevented displays of appliances on floor, I still bought right stove. Fortunately for me: got it Aug. 2021, on MA 'No-sales tax" weekend. Price okay. There was delivery charge, a sm. fee to recycle my white (older) stove..haul away. Debbie estimated delivery approx. Oct. 1st, 2021; it arrived to me not long afterward. She is knowledgeable of products & friendly. Matt & Mike delivered stove-installed plug, centered it. Had Douglass come out to repair my daughter's stove and refrigerator. First time out, they said they couldn't find the problem with the stove, but fixed the refrigerator quickly and professionally. They answer the phone promptly and show up when they are supposed to. I called back to have someone else repair the oven and Lloyd came today. He was professional and knew exactly what the problem was. I give 4 stars because first person didn't know what the problem was and because I think they are a bit pricey. However, they seem very trustworthy, punctual and knowledgeable. I would use them again. read more

This is first rate appliance dealer. I purchased a refrigerator from another "big box" competitor and needed some assistance on switching the door direction and an ice bin that didn't come with my appliance. Not only did they show me how to switch my door direction, they gave me an ice bin! Business don't do these kind of things that often but when they do I like to spread the word. AMAZINGLY HONEST! Truth be told I haven't been there. But that isn't for lack of trying. I called them up when we had a problem with our dryer. The very nice older woman on the phone told me what she thought it was and how to fix it myself. She asked if I wanted to see if that fixed the problem before I scheduled the appointment. She, of course, was correct and I didn't need a serviceman to come down. So to recap basically they told me how to fix a basic problem opposed to using their service (which I would have to pay for). Saved me time and money. I will 100% use them next time and recommend them to anyone who asks for an appliance servicer. read more

I cannot even give this company one star. We purchased a washing machine in February of 2016. The first day we used it there were issues. They sent out a repairman who was rude and not helpful at all. He said the washing machine was fine. NOT! We took videos of the washing machine and how dysfunctional it is. They again sent a repairman out who did see for himself it was not operating properly. He ordered a part that he said would fix the problem and it did not. Our washing machine of 20 years that we were replacing operates better than this one. I am so disgusted with the company and they should not be in business if they can't stand behind a product that after one day was not working. So disappointed in this business. Two years ago, not even, I purchased a washer and dryer from them, to support small businesses. I easily could have purchased these machines elsewhere for a lot less! Just recently i had a problem with my washing machine and called for help. The woman who i spoke with twice had a flat demeanor and could have cared less about my problem. She offered me an appointment for $99.95 just to come out and diagnose the issue. I attempted to have this fee waived seeing as the machine was not even two years old, but no, she continued to present me with reasons why the business was justified in charging for a diagnosis trip. This is not standing by your product you sell or taking care of the customer!!! I could have and should have gone elsewhere and got the same nonchalant attitude about my problem.
