Pleasant staff, clean rooms and easy parking. However, if you ever wanted to be all up in your neighbors business, this would be your chance. The walls are paper thin! You can hear everything going on in the next room. If your neighbor has the tv on, if they're on a phone call or in the bathroom, now you know their business. Also no microwave in the room which struck me kinda odd. Room was spacious and reasonably priced, but I didn't get the greatest sleep due to being able to hear everything my neighbor was up to. read more

We had booked rooms through this hotel for a softball tournament. We found out 2 days before the tournament that it was canceled (circumstances beyond our control). We had several families reach out to this hotel to see if we can get a credit or at least a partial refund. The workers would not respond to voicemails/emails and if we did get ahold of someone they were extremely rude. They are taking our money even though we will not be able to use the rooms. The customer service is absolutely horrible. I would never stay here. They are rude and dishonest. read more

We used to be huge fans of this hotel. Until today. There was a totally out of control guest screaming bloody murder and intense, graphic profanities for 45 minutes straight from 3-4am our first night. I was busy calming down my one year old daughter because of the incident , instead of calling security. I guess that was my mistake. The next morning the front desk attendant said I wasn't the only one who complained, after I asked her if I was the only one who had complained. She promised the manager would be in touch with me and he would talk about giving us a refund for our first night. Three more calls later, no manager. I go down to the desk in person. The manager is mysteriously unavailable. Again. So the front desk person then tells me my claim is without evidence. Even though the woman at the desk in the morning verbally confirmed there was, in fact, an incident. He told me the manager would call me back. He did not. I called again and asked to speak to him directly. Shockingly, he was still busy. The man at the front desk proceeded to politely call me a liar and said my claim was bogus. I don't need the money, that's not the point. It's the principle of the whole thing. Last time I checked, the basic thing a hotel should provide is a decent nights sleep. Period. We didn't want a full refund, just the one night. It's really too bad. This WAS a great hotel. Now it is not. If you and your infant would like to be woken up for 45 minutes from 3-4am, and then be called a liar, this is a great hotel for you. Never staying here again. UPDATE: the fire alarm went off on our last night here and woke up our baby. I've been told the manager is going to call me back. This maybe a long feedback, but worth saying. On Tuesday, August 4, 2020 as I was a guest for 3 nights, I was involved in an incident in which someone on the property that was not a guest. I got the hotel staff involved and I walked away and went to dinner. Here is where my issue I am having with the hotel. As I returned, I asked to have my change changed. They advised me the the person was banned from the property. I said she knows my room and was talking to someone on her phone. After talking to the hotel lobby person, I was able to get my room changed. I asked her is the room change on the same floor. She said yes, I said I would like a different floor. She was not willing to do so until I asked her if she felt comfortable with a guest who was threatened and not moving my room to another floor as the person knew my room and floor that I had the incident with. The hotel employee changed the floor as I asked as if she was doing me a favor. I called the Hilton Honors help line and I talked to representative who did help me out. His. name is Jeff and was very helpful!!! The on premise hotel staff at this location was not precessional durning this issue. I would think they would have their guest upmost security and safety in mind. I did not get a follow up from anyone from the hotel. I did get a case number from Jeff and an email as follow up. But, absolutely nothing from the staff. Also, this location is under major construction and there was no mention of this when I was booking my reservation. I should have been told the lobby entrance, elevators, no coffee was available in the morning, no waters were offered to me being a Diamond Member. Per the email I received, I have to wait 7-10 days to hear from the the General Manager. I am very disappointed on how this is being issue is being taken care of. My husband and I stay at a lot of the Hilton chain properties. Our room was clean and our stay was quiet. I had leftovers from dinner last night and since there is no breakfast offered I decided to bring my lasagne home to heat it up for breakfast. To my complete shock there was no microwave in our room! That was just unbelievable! My husband had to go to the lobby and use the public microwave to heat it up for me! There was also only one regular coffee packet for 2 people and we didn't notice it until the morning. All of this doesn't make sense to me for a Hilton chain hotel! read more

We checked in late, we were greeted and pleasantly helped. The room was fine-generic hotel room. The bed were comfortable and we slept well. However, the bathroom was below average. Disappointing , to say the least. I expected so much more. Check in went smooth, room was nice sized and clean, but, what is up with the midget toilets? Was there a sale on mega short bowls? The thermostat did not work, and the house keeper did not show up until 1 pm. The police station is right down the street, so be prepared to be woken up once in a while. On the positive side, the cookies are great, though, the $20 per person breakfast balances that out. I like the fact that the rooms are very clean the place was nice, the only Downside was the pool was I don't know how to put it not clean the jacuzzi was closed but as you can see the water is very clear but the pool water was a little too hazzy and it felt really Yuck slimy at the bottom disgusting.. My daughter went in the pool I noticed that it kind of bubbled up and said to my eldest daughter it's not supposed to do that, then my eldest daughter went in she had goggles on and she said that the pool was very dirty in the bottom that she could see trash she got out right away!!! I had my daughter and my niece get out go back to the room to shower they got to keep a better eye on the pool because honestly. read more

Coming to LA we wanted to stay at a place that's affordable and safe. My friend recommend Doubletree by Hilton in Whittier. This Hilton was the only one in Whittier that had an outdoor pool. We booked the Hilton for super cheap at $110 USD a night which was so worth it. Upon check in the front desk was super nice and helpful. We were given their famous fresh yummy cookies. A few days later I ask for a couple more and the guy at the front desk gave me 3 cookies. Very generous. The lobby was nice and pool was also nice nothing crazy extravagant. When we stayed here for 7 days the hotel hosted a lot of weddings and baby showers. The gym is standard but we didn't end up working out at all for the entire week. This hotel is about 1 hour from downtown and Hollywood with traffic. Where the hotel is located is very safe and in a quaint place. Our rooms were standard but we're never in our hotel rooms only to sleep and for that price it's amazing. Free wifi and free parking. You can't ask for more one Los Angeles! read more

I am a Diamond member and have had below average customer service a lot of times with the front desk. Today I am Writing a positive feedback for Employee Noah. Have had to great experiences. Very professional/well mannered and if everyone was to emulate the way he handles customers concerns ; the customer ends up happy and so does the business .... Noah was educated in where things were and how to handle the problem I had with WiFi. He assisted me with a very positive attitude. The staff was great. Very accommodating. First room smelled awful. The staff changed our room immediately. The next room smelled fine but needs a lot of attention. The bathroom needs a lot of work. The ceiling above the shower was peeling and discolored. The tub was slow draining. The tub spout and shower head need replacing. The tub was discolored. The toilet paper holder was broken. A couple of the towels has brown stains. The carpet needs to be cleaned. The lobby is in the middle of being remodeled and will probably be beautiful when done. read more

The only reason I'm giving this hotel a 1 is because of the parking. Parking was great, but other than that the service here was terrible, I've realized because of my ethnicity. I booked on a third party website for a King size bed because I am 9 months pregnant and honestly anything other than a king or queen will be uncomfortable. once I got to the hotel they put me in a double full size room. I immediately went back downstairs to change rooms when the front desk attendant told me there were not any other availabilities, the hotel was fully booked. At this point the supervisor intervenes and accommodates my request but not without adding there may have been an issue with the third party website however she does go ahead and accommodate me. I was so tired at this point I went straight to the room and took a nap. After waking up turned on the light went to use the restroom attempted to wash my hands and the water smelled like sewer, grabbed my phone only to find out none of the outlets work, additionally there was toothpaste, a dirty hand print and what looks like a juice stain on the walls. Again, went downstairs at this point it's the same clerk who tells me he will call maintenance, it's approx 10 so I agreed. Maintenance comes and ask "what do I want him to do", there's nothing he can do and that the plugs does not work, I only complained about the plugs and water contamination, nothing else. The maintenance worker proceeds to tell me I have too many complaints and that they will call me tell me what to do. Again, I'm on the fourth floor so I wait for 20 mins no one calls and I go back downstairs to speak to the desk sup who changes my room again but back to a double bed room. Which I originally told then I could not sleep in but I guess it's better than your room smelling like fart from the water so I stayed. Although the front desk sup at this time was helpful and some what accommodating, he moved me into a room with stained rugs and dirt marks in tubs. I've stayed in many Hilton's. Typically because they're clean but this is by far the worse set of rooms I've stayed in, like I said it may be because of my ethnicity so they give me whatever but at this point I was too exhausted to even changed rooms. It was suppose to be a relaxing night before going into labor. Instead I'm writing a review SMH !!! 2 out of 10 will not recommend. read more

Clean & friendly hotel but dishonest staff! I left a bracket in the room by mistake and of course once I realized (that same evening) and called the cleaning staff never logged it being left. I was looking for a good hotel in whittier a few months ago. Found this gem, doubletree hilton in Whitter Ca. This Hotel was very easy to get to a few miles off interstate 5. I was empressed the first time I stayed at Doubletree Hilton I became Hilton Member. WOW WHAT SAVINGS ! Stayed again for fheir New Years Bash was given an excellant rate. The rooms are really big, clean and smell good. Nice bigger screen TV with cable and free Wifi. I use the big gym when I stay . nice restarant on site. The minjte you arrive you are greeted by Duobletree Hiltons exceptional frlnt desk . You are handed some delicious freshly baked cookies I could smell them the moment I walked in. . Back to New Years bash , it was blast! Very well organished! The food was excellant , the music was fantastic. They even had a foto both ! Thank you Double tree Hilton for making my New Years Celebration special! read more

Awful. I was there alone for a weekend stay, and I managed to get through one night of parting, weed smoking, and walking around without masks during a pandemic. I requested to end my stay one day early with the front desk due to the craziness, they said yes, and I checked out the following morning because I did not feel safe there. I called to follow up on my refund and was told the booking agency that I used would have to facilitate this. They told hotels.com that they would confirm with the housekeeping staff that I did check out (even though I checked out at the front desk and handed in my key- cameras everywhere by the way). I called back and they stop didn't check with the staff, and they said I should call back again with hotels.com. I called hotels.com, who called them and all of a sudden the staff wasn't available. Finally I get an email an hour later saying my refund request was denied due to the hotel's policy. What happened to confirming my check out if that was the case? Why give the run around? I planned a little daughter mom bond time with my 2 year old first thing we wanted to do was get in the jacuzzi to my surprise there was a BIG ROACH just hanging there I was so bothered because I don't think it was Mother Nature since it had been there for a long time !! Ok there goes our jacuzzi time I go upstairs ready for bed wake up next day at 5 am to try to close the shutters because the sun was so bright !!!!! and guess what ? The shutters didn't slide so I was up at 5 am and I was out at 9 am before check out there goes my little get away !!!!! Upgrade and please we don't want to see insects around ! My family spent New Year's Eve 2016 at the Sofia's restaurant (inside the Double Tree), which if you spent $$$ for the all you can eat buffet you got into the club for free. A year later...my family is still talking about it! And not in a positive way. They were extremely disappointed on the quality of the food, especially for the price. Came here the other day with the wife and another couple. While Danielle & Rozie checked out the Makeup Liquidation Sale, Bob and I grabbed a drink at the bar. We received 5 star treatment from April the bartender while the women shopped. April was even nice enough to walk us to the front desk so we can get those famous cookies of theirs. We were disappointed to learn that they don't do Salsa Nights any more so I'm not sure if or when I will be back. The overall stay was ok I've just had better service. The person that greeted me and checked me in room was very short and not very polite it was awkward. I asked him was breakfast included in my stay he never checked, he just wasn't very personable and I feel like for the amount of money I spent he should have been. I have no complaints other than that. The room was clean, it did have patched up wholes in the walls but it was clean and the tv was a nice size. This place is so nasty. Don't stay here. Looks like hotel was remodeled the cheapest way possible. Water in the bathtub would not drain super gross considering it's a hotel. They forgot to bring us towels. Customer service isn't too helpful. They switched us room and new room had the same problem. Asked if they had a room that had a walk in shower instead of tub. And completely ignored my request. I already pre-paid so I'm stuck here. Avoid staying here and save yourself the headache. read more

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night while we were in town for a Bridal shower. The experience was great overall. Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean and beds were comfortable, and the parking was free. We ate in the lobby restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The service was GREAT. This place was great! I confess, I entirely decided to stay here because I know that they give you cookies; the cookies weren't quite as sublime as I remember them being (the last time I had stayed at a Double Tree was over ten years ago (!!!) ), but they were lovely all the same. The lobby area was a little strange, there weren't a ton of seats, as most of the front room area was reserved for a little breakfast/dining area. But I was always able to sit down when I wanted to, so that was good! The person at the front desk was *extremely* friendly and funny, and made me feel very welcome when I visited. There was a little bit of a sense of being upsold to becoming a "rewards member" or "premier" member or whatever Hilton calls it, which I didn't really like, but I'm sure that's just corporate policy to tell everyone who checks in about it. The room itself was great. The same thing you usually expect, you know? Nice and spacious. Teeny tiny soaps. Lots of food and stuff in the mini fridge that you know if you even dare to look at them then your room bill is going to shoot up fifty dollars. The usual. Gotta make up for the revenue lost with all those free cookies somehow, right? Anyway, this was a great stay. I enjoyed it thoroughly! read more

This use to be the old Radisson hotel, it's been upgraded with newer rooms and a functioning dining area in the lobby. They have also improved the gym and cleaned up the grounds. I use to enjoy the Radisson but the Doubletree has built upon the old bones of the former structure. The front desk staff Nitza is extremely nice and was quick to pass out those wonderful chocolate chip cookies while still fresh. I enjoyed my stay here and you might as well. Just remember the new acquisition and remodeling comes a higher price tag. The rates have almost doubled since the change of ownership, but you get what you pay for. Overall clean modern lobby, quite rooms, and convenient location. read more

Came up for the night for a softball tournament the next day. We got here around 9pm. There were at least 3 weddings going on. Get into our room and there is blaring mariachi music. We called to see if they would stop by 10pm and if not, if we could switch rooms. They said it wouldn't be stopping until 11 and got us a new room. Pack up our stuff, go down to our new room and it's freezing! 65 degrees! No music though so I can deal. Until we turn our ac off. Blaring music. Club music this time. And it's louder than the mariachi. I'm down for a good wedding. But this place needs to invest in some better windows or something. Won't be staying here again. read more

Family was having an event at this hotel. Rather than driving home (50 miles) late at night we stayed overnight. Rooms are noisy! We could hear the baby crying non-stop from down the hall. The folks above us were having a loud stomping party every time they walked across the room. Loud music from the room across the hall was annoying. Street noise was quite evident. So much for a "quiet, peaceful room"! After we left the event, 10:00P.M. we tried to turn on the tv. It came on but was locked into Spanish. I called and requested service and within a few minutes an employee showed up with a replacement remote control. The man smelled like the homeless you encounter in the streets of Los Angeles. His English skills appeared to be very limited as it was a effort to convey what the problem was. He just wanted to exchange the remote and kept telling me there was no problem. I finally just requested he leave and did without the late TV news. Thank goodness for the smart phones. Two last concern, entry door to the room stuck so in order to gain entry you had to tackle it with your shoulder. Shower drain plug would not stay up so after a few minutes in the shower your feet were under dirty shower water. I had to stick a washcloth under it so the shower could drain. This Doubletree Hotel in Whitter, Ca. would be my last choice if I ever needed a hotel! read more

Since they I don't have a market to sell water and snacks except vending machines,around midnight I asked for a bottle water and I got two bottles of water delivered to my room in five minutes. they don't have a shop which is not convenient but they're making up for that. Hotel is within walking distance to many nice and upscale restaurants nearby so very walking friendly. read more

I got married this weekend and chose this hotel to stay at. Really nice and great service. On our checkout this morning, police were waiting for me in the parking lot. My car was broken into early around 4am. Be careful because there are lots of bars and some clubs here. It's really upsetting to have this happen to you, especially the day after your wedding. read more

I had my wedding here!!!!! Please never use this place!! Worst wedding experience ever...i rented 6 rooms for my wedding tonight and it was horrible!!! Customer service None.... As I'm coming back from my wedding across the street a front desk woman was very racist with our accommodations.. its 12 30 and i have my wife with me super drunk from our wedding.. i politely ask front desk for a spare key and with my wife throwing up in lobby the lady refused to give us a key.. by the way we rented 6 rooms!!! Our stay last week was exceptional! I live in Riverside and booked 2 rooms for my mother's funeral. I called about early check-in @ 7am like I had been told. When I called the young man asked if I would please call back around 9am. Not only did I not have to call back... He called me back and said our rooms were ready!!! Everything was great. Clean rooms, we asked for more towels and they were delivered in no time, we were greeted everytime we walked in and out.
