Surprised at all the bad reviews. We ended up here after Embassy Suites (hotel of choice) was sold out. Easy check in- waters and the beloved cookies which were delicious! Our room smelled the like masqueraded smoke which was my one complaint, but was too tired to switch rooms. Nice pool- indoor/outdoor Burger bar restaurant on site Friendly staff Fairly clean rooms Mini Fridge Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries in the pump which I love. Located fairly close to freeway and lots of retail and food surrounding. Free parking Pet friendly- $75 pet fee Would stay again read more

Doubletree is located right off exit near shopping and several restaurants. There was plenty of parking. It is very easy to locate. Check-in was simple. $30 hold for 1 night stay. They were impacted by the Microsoft bug issues. We got a room key and told sorry only able to provide 1. I was provided warm cookies and bottles of water as usual. The room was on the 1st floor. The bed was huge. The pillows were the best. I wanted to go right to bed. Nice size fridge in the room. No microwave, but I did not need one. Little dated but still nice for an overnight stay. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. The lotion dispenser needed to be refilled. I slept like a baby. The staff was nice and very friendly. There is a restaurant on-site if you do not want to leave. They do offer a breakfast in the morning if interested. I'd stay here again. read more

Lost a loyal 4-year customer in about the time it takes to check in. After a 13-hour drive to move my daughter into college, I discovered the hotel had kindly double-charged me, draining my account and bouncing my bills. Instead of solving the problem, management offered empty apologies, misinformation about how banks work, and the classic "just wait 5-7 days" solution. When I (reasonably) expressed frustration, I was accused of being aggressive and even told I could cancel--convenient advice, considering they were already holding nearly $900 of my money. As a bonus, they charged an extra $90 in incidentals after I explained I couldn't afford food or gas. Customer service innovation at its finest. The hotel itself was a marvel: elevators out of service, water outages two days in a row (always between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.--perfect timing if you like not showering), and construction crews loudly perfecting their profanity. Running water is apparently optional in the hospitality industry. Although management insisted a refund had been processed, I had to dispute the charge as fraud with my bank, who promptly credited me. That's what customer care looks like. Meanwhile, the hotel tried to charge me again for incidentals at checkout. Positives? The coffee was decent, the bed comfortable, and the renovated rooms easy on the eyes. Unfortunately, good coffee and new wallpaper don't cover for leadership that's allergic to accountability. I had planned to stay here regularly while visiting my daughter over the next four years. After this experience? No chance. Elevators can be fixed. Broken management cannot. read more

Bad: The elevator smelt really bad, Hated the toilet paper, Mold inside of light switches, and Flys on the food, The food in total was not the best, the staff kept looking at us weirdly. A crack in the roof that had mold inside, the towels were stale, low toilet, Add Roku. The hairdryer was dirty, no hand soap or body wash Good: The room smelled good, The pool was warm, the shower was good, comfortable beds, and comfortable chairs. The elevator had a good view, and we stayed on the top floor so we had a good view, The Room was big, had multiple stations to make coffee, the pool was clean, the bathroom looked nice, and the staff at the Burger bar was really nice. read more

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Murfreesboro - Hotel is in need of renovation! Everything looks and smells old. Warm cookies nice. - Hotels Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Last week we stayed at this DoubleTree in Murfreesoboro. Desk staff was absolutely the best. The room was very nice and clean. The HVAC unit was loud but was fixed quickly for maintenance. We had a wonderful stay there for my son's wedding. Note... They will be renovating this hotel soon, so it will be even nicer. read more

I wish i can rate this hotel lower, first off the wifi absolutely is terrible to connect to, so i wouldn't even consider it free wifi. The breakfast is terrible with unseasoned, and raw food. And not to mention the pee all over the toilet when I first came in, I didn't know it was that hard to clean one of the dirtiest things in the hotel room, don't stay here unless you don't care about your personal health! read more

Made a reservation for 11/15 for one night. Tried to check in but was told (rudely) that they were overbooked. No one bothered to contact me and of course it was blamed on capital one who I booked it with. Disputed the charge for $194, during the investigation the hotel LIED and said that services were provided. Warning: DO NOT BOOK HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED A ROOM. I understand overbooking happens, I even understand them favoring their corporate clients, members etc but when that happens there should be a PROMPT refund. And yes it would be nice to know beforehand so I don't have to waste my time trying to check into a hotel that is full, even though I had a reservation. Half a month later and still no refund. Do better, doubletree!!!!!! read more

First time to this area. Attending tennis tournament and doubletree was host hotel, They shouldn't be the his hotel imo. Hotel needs to be updated and managerial staff needs to be retrained. I'm in the business and there's always an option. Didnt received the tennis rate and had to pay more since captain reserve multiple rooms. I was told Manager Laurel was the rude one and did express any options. "Nothing we can do". The nice African American female was amazing and took care of business. The young man was good also. I did talk to the gentleman the next morning and he was the general manager and he was professional., read more

For $230 a night it was NOT worth it. Great location, restaurants, shops and such. For the room quality, no. No microwave, VERY outdated rooms... the pool was an indoor outdoor combo, was kinda fun. The one SUPER GROSS thing I noticed, by accident, was when I lifted tue covers with the white duvet, in the morning, the sunlight revealed some rusty colored splotches inside the duvet. Not sure if it is old filling deteriorating or something worse. This was for both beds... we took them off... Otherwise, staff was friendly, other drivers on the rod were not... lol read more

The best thing about this hotel is that it was close to our venue and convenient for shopping. However, that is it. The A/C was set on 69 all night and we nearly cooked. Setting it back to 68 made no change. Seventy-something was as cool as the room got all night. As if it wasn't enough that we roasted, an individual from Housekeeping came knocking on the door at 8:45 A.M. to clean the room. The last time I checked, 11 A.M. was check-out and I didn't think guests were to be disturbed until they missed that deadline. Add to that the narrow television selections (We watched movies on our phones.), and I'm fairly sure we will not go back. It didn't help that when I alerted the front desk to the issues, she told me that she would tell Housekeeping. Not on my account... read more

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Murfreesboro - Filthy - Hotels Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

I stay at this hotel a year ago around June 2017 not to bad but this go around very very bad. The room was nasty and hair was everywhere. Whoever the supervisor for housekeeping are to be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen. Don't know if they are under new management but it just not working for me anymore. Last time staying there and I would rather pay extra to stay somewhere that is clean. Now the staff are very friendly and have great customer service but I just don't want to stay somewhere not clean and smelly Here are some pictures read more

I will start with the positive, and that is the front desk staff. They were friendly and attentive. The positive feedback stops there. The hotel as a whole (common areas and our room itself) was dated and worn. The upkeep of this property was shockingly bad. There were a couple of bugs in our room, the desk chair had huge tears and was missing fabric in the seat, the roll-away cot mattress was dirty, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty, and the carpet all over the hotel was dirty. Our king bed room was very small and crowded, and the walls were paper thin so the noise level was unacceptable. When we asked for more towels (after our first night, they only gave us 2 towels even though we had 3 people in the room), we had to call back a second time before housekeeping brought any, and the staff who brought the towels was rude and acted put out that he had to bring us more towels. Additionally, the indoor pool was absolutely freezing. I will not stay here again. read more

Came here for a soccer tournament with a group of 11 year old boys. Hotel was full of sports teams but unfortunately was NOT kid friendly. Kids got told they couldn't be in the halls or stairwells...that they needed to be in their rooms. No food allowed in the pool area, inside or out. And they let guests that were eating know such. Told they needed to eat in their rooms. We were also told they were going to shut the pool down when they saw people eating. Tried to get a meeting room to eat our dinner...$500. And the place isn't even nice. Just don't. read more

Staff was very rude, accommodations are quite outdated as compared to DoubleTrees elsewhere, and the noise from other guests was obnoxious. Easily one of my least favorite stays at a Hilton as a diamond member. Also, there was no hair dryer in our room and other people's trash in the bin. read more

Stopped here for an overnight on a long drive from Florida to Illinois with our dog. We got in late and left early so we didn't spend much time here but it certainly met our needs. They do allow dogs but there is a fee. Breakfast is not included but warm chocolate chip cookies and water upon arrival are! Side note - I did have to remind our check in person about the cookies. He was very nice though and I harbor no ill will. Our room was great. Nice large bed which was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was clean and very acceptable. Only issue with the room was the TV reception. It didn't seem to be able to keep the signal well and kept breaking up. This was quite annoying. Nice large parking lot with easy entry. read more

Peeling wallpaper and cobwebs! But the complementary cookies were warm and delicious.

I was a little disappointed that things weren't as clean. With Covid going on, people claim to be taking extra measures of making sure everything is clean. I can dismiss the fact that the rooms are outdated and the window air unit is a bit loud, but to see that we were the only ones in the pool area first thing in the morning and they did not clean the pool, towels were still thrown around from the day before and the dirty towel bin was overflowing. Not to mention, cigarette butts on the ground by the loungers. The bed was very hard and the inside toilet ring was black. Some good things though: the staff was very friendly and I liked that they had a book shelf with novels for the guests to borrow with their stay. read more

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Murfreesboro - Single king size room. - Hotels Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

As another reviewer has said, I would rate this hotel far less than 1 star if it was possible. CONS: I'll start with the worst - I found a dozen pills in the top drawer of the tv stand. I have no idea what they were but I have kids that could have eaten them. No way something like this should be missed. Continuing, We had mold in the bathroom tub/shower. The diverter didn't work so you could only take a bath. We found hair that was not cleaned from the bath tub. My son found a candy wrapper in the bed. We spent considerable time that evening debating whether or not we should just drive home. This was booked as a 4 star hotel. It absolutely isn't. PRO: Front desk and staff are friendly read more

I would rather sleep under a bridge in a snowstorm than stay at this sorry excuse of a hotel.

Wish I would have read all these reviews before I booked. I usually stay at the Residence Inn - Marriott when in Murfreesboro, and it is clean and nice, but this time I decided to "upgrade " and since I am traveling with my boss who prefers Hilton, I picked the Doubletree thinking wow a nicer hotel, what a treat. They think they are a fancy spa and the guy at the front desk was not capable of explaining himself. I travel and stay in hotels 3-4 days a week, every week, and he was trying to explain to me that all hotels charge "incidental fees" but if I don't use them, they will be taken off my account ... and to swipe my credit card for these fees. I understand that when I am staying in a resort where I can get a massage or a facial. He explained that this is to cover if I want room service. Well how about charging me for room service if I call for it, and NO, not every hotel does it this way so don't look at me like I'm crazy. Keep your cookie, see you next time Marriott! Update, the room is very dark with virtually no lights just a few lamps that don't do the trick if you need to work. I have a chair that doesn't move up or down and wobbles, called the front desk but he said no one is here that can help me to get a new chair. They definitely don't cater to a business traveler who needs to work in the early morning. read more

I am in town because my beautiful grands moved here on Friday and I wanted a place to take them to chill while their mom and dad settled the new home! I had booked a room down the road for the swimming pool. When we arrived the pool was closed and the ice machines were broken. I drove over to the Doubletree and was greeted by Christina who went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We have been treated with the GREATEST SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY allowed by law! ;) Thank you Christina and every other member of this team we have had contact! Average hotel, the CS is driving this place. It could use some renovation. The breakfast and burger bar are a hit ! I want to send out a HUGE THANKS to Mr. James Council and the entire staff at Doubletree! My wife and I were returning from Michigan after a very long drive and tired. We tend to be on the defensive as customer service is not what we are accustomed too. Needless to say, I was very delighted with the superior customer service experience and after attending a tough week in Michigan returning from my spouse brother's funeral this was delightful to experience the check in, restaurant, reception and the nice room accommodations. I see other reviews and obviously improvements have been made and recommend giving Doubletree another try. Thanks again! read more

This is a tired hotel needing a lot of upkeep and updating. The numerous shades of brown and beige really need to be updated. I would describe the room I stayed in as not quite clean enough. The shower curtain in the bathroom was hanging down so the curtain hung in the middle. The towel hook on the back of the door didn't hold anything because it was missing a screw and just dropped the towels. It was kind of depressing to be honest. The only reason I didn't give it one star is because of the fresh cookies they give you. read more

Ok hotel room for $150.00... unfortunately we paid$375.00 a night... 5 star price... 2 star accommodations. Soft bed.. wrecked my husband's back. BTW... no microwave or hairdryer in room. The front desk staff was very pleasant. read more

Overall cleanliness of the hotel room is NOT OK. I checked into the Doubletree on 5/21/2018. I did not spend any time in any wooded area or outdoor space that could have easily lead to many bug bites all over my body. Nor did I even spend an extended amount of time outside. However, when I awoke the next day, I was covered in multiple bug bites on my neck, arms, and legs that most certainly were not there the night before. Additionally, when cleaning out my room to move to a new one, I saw a used condom wrapper on the floor underneath the nightstand that was still there from a previous guest. In my new room, there were multiple coins left on the ground from a previous guest. Clearly, this Doubletree's cleaning staff is not doing their job. When I discussed with hotel management, they of course apologized, but told me that the eco lab that they had contracted to check the room I had gotten all the bites in had come back that the room was clean. Given the volume of bites on my body and all the locations I had been in the previous day aligned with the timeline of when I had been in them can only lead to the conclusion that these bites occurred during the night and therefore in the hotel room. The hotel general manager arranged for 90,000 points to be added to my Hilton Honors account after I had a stern discussion with him, which though I appreciate it, it does not address the cleanliness concerns surrounding the guest rooms, let alone the rest of the hotel property. DO NOT STAY HERE. **UPDATE** After moving rooms, I was hopeful the bug bite situation would resolve itself. Unfortunately, it only got worse. In the photos you can see my leg on 5/22 evening vs. 5/23 morning. To have that volume of bites on my body appear overnight can only lead to the conclusion that the hotel is infected, but the General Manager will not change his stance that the rooms are clean. Evidence clearly shows he's either oblivious or in denial. Needless to say, I will never stay at a DoubleTree again in my life. read more

I could live here because the beds and pillows are sooo comfy. The room is beautiful complete with big, flat-screen tv, fridge, high-end soaps and towels. The price is great! My problem - no cookies!!!! Not only that but the bar area, complete with great, free, live music, blasted us out with blaring led lighting. I felt like we were in a Denny's mid-day. So the upshot is - stay here you will be happy. Just don't expect cookies OR a romantic bar area. read more

Dated. Really dated. Rooms really need updating. It was also hot everywhere. Had my AC unit at 60 for days and room never got below 75. This was on the Honors floor! The hallways were easily 80 degrees at times, I'm guessing they need a new HVAC system. My AC unit was full of dust/lint/whatever. I imagine the filter hasn't been changed since 1999. Coffee pot in my room should be thrown away - super disgusting. Staff were SUPER NICE though! read more

We are here now. Staying for the next 4 nights.....no breakfast included......worlds smallest workout room...no bench, no pull-up rack. Good quality equipment but wow.....small for 5 floors of hotel. Really not happy with the bed size....not happy there isn't breakfast like the other Doubletrees we have stayed. Just not at all what we expected. Staff is great, helpful, nice, friendly. Room and hotel are is clean and nice. Yes cookies were very good. So really 2 stars and not 4 because of the lame workout room and no breakfast included. We stayed at a Comfort Inn Suites in Salem, VA two nights ago for $99 that had a GREAT breakfast included AND a great workout room. Room was two Queen beds (not two doubles) and 1/3 larger. For $20 per night less we got lots more. Sigh......I suppose as HHonors members we should just be happy we have a place to stay and that we have money to pay for it. Never mind we checked out 4 nights early and went around the corner to the Comfort Suites for bigger beds, a bigger room, breakfast included, a better workout room, and only $8 more per night.....smh... read more

I would rate less if I could. The hotel is in a nice area and the rooms are nothing to write home about. The water pipes were being replaced in the next morning during our stay which wasn't relayed to us upon check in. Their notice in the elevator said 1 hour and then the one in the room was actually for 2 hours. The people working the front desk are the most uninformed hotel staff I have ever encountered. I needed another room key for my wife as she arrived later than I did and because she was not on the account they needed me to verify her being allowed to get one but only if I came to the front desk with an ID. The backwards thinking involved in that, disguised as security, was absolutely ludicrous. I'm in the room on the phone verifying them issuing another card and they still needed my ID. As if I didn't get enough attitude from the front desk girl apparently who was still in high school judging in her responses and attitude, she decided to be even ruder when I told her the situation. I wouldn't stay here again if they were the last building standing in the world. Woeful customer service. read more

I have been a diamond for close to 15 years and this has to be one of the worst HILTON properties I have seen or been in. 1. Every time i complained or questioned something they blamed it on they are due for a renovation. 2. The breakfast room is dingy and feels like a hospital waiting room. I felt like I was in a lobby at a doctors office. 3. The food was not fresh and thrown together and they serve the awful Royal coffee .( like drinking water) I get a free breakfast and couldn't eat it.. next day I didn't even bother going down to eat it. 4. The chairs are greasy ,old and dirty too. 5. So we order a Uber and it's about a 10-15 wait for the car... there is not one seat outside to sit on?? I ask the front desk and they have no clue " hmmm never noticed we have some around the side of the building ... just awful. 6. Went to get some snacks and some Advil... they have a vending machine like you would see at a Motel off a highway. 7. My room didn't have water in its free they said it should. (Once again no big deal to them) 8. The room was sprayed with cleaning chemicals and stunk. 9. The room had an old shower /tub unit which also had art in it that wat peeling away. 10. The room has NO Microwave??? Even the cheapest hotels have microwaves.. I went to the front desk and the person there says "oh yeah not all the rooms have them and I guess that one doesn't" 11. The tv remote for the room didn't work and asked engineering to help.... had to call twice because they forgot.. he was a nice guy and handed me a new remote .. issue was the tv had buzz and snow sound. The engineer and I put in a pay per view movie to see if noise and snow would go away and it didn't... he said no problem I will tell front desk to take off the bill.... I am in a rush the next day and it's still on there and have to go wait to get it taken off. 12. Finally got to front desk .. no ask of how our stay was... i had to tell them they need to fix a lot of things and not happy with stay....... NO response at all.. just a blank stare... I am on the fence of wanting to HILTON management because we dreaded going back to the hotel at the end of the day I guess being a Diamond member and guaranteed satisfaction doesn't apply at this place.......... enough with this place is in need of a reservation excuse and something about it for your customers read more

I really don't have a lot to complain about so you may be wondering why only 3 stars. I only gave 3 stars because this place is pretty mediocre. The staff was very friendly, checkin process was good, everything seemed moderately clean but overall this place is so old! It is in desperate need of an update and they need to add a gym on site. They give you a free pass to golds gym but when you've been working all day, you just want to go back to the hotel and relax. It would be good to have the option to workout without leaving the hotel. I didn't try the restaurant but it looks very outdated. The room was fine, nothing spectacular. The cookie on checkin was undercooked, pretty much just crusted dough. I don't think I would stay here again, the price versus value just isn't worth it read more

I've stayed here before and had a great time wonderful experience, but this time the front desk was rude accuse my son of having a dog I think it was the manager standing there it wasn't our actual front desk clerk she said do you have a dog? My son said no! She looks at another girl standing there and says I heard the dog's leash rattle! The other young lady replies I did too! My son rattles the keys in his pocket and says is that what you heard? She says yes yes what was it he pulled his keys out and shows her she doesn't apologize she just says I would have swore it was a dog leash. We then get to the room second floor although I requested bottom floor okay not a big deal the pool is down because the heater isn't working I was not informed of this when making the reservation or at check in. The room was dirty the bathtub had hairs in it the toilet seat had a footprint on it the sink has spots all over it where it should have been dried out (I used to manage a hotel so I'm aware of these things.) Air conditioning unit was falling out of the window the floor had paper on it rappers underneath the desk. The people in the room next to us were talking laughing arguing half the night I called the front desk nothing was done I never heard the phone ring I never heard anyone knock on their door.
