We had to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites for 4 days only because all near by hotels that are pet friendly were completely sold out. Terrible housekeeping service. Beds are not made and rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis. We asked for trash to be removed from the room and housekeepers ignored our request, we had to take the trash out of the room and dispose it in the trash cans located in the ice maker room by the elevator. We ran out of toilet paper in the middle of the night that the room fare hajumped to USD299 per night. When we asked for housekeeping service and clean towels the manager said service was not available on a daily schedule and we would have to pay more it we wanted housekeeping service every day. Maintenance of the hotel was also poor, the air conditioning system was not working properly in the room. Hotel was understaffed. Front desk was often unattended and nobody answered calls. We travel a lot and never stayed in hotel without housekeeping service. We feel we overpaid to stay in a place that had the service of low quality motel. We recently stayed at this location for two nights. The breakfast was wonderful! The bed was comfortable. Wish they would upgrade to better quality towels...very thin and cheap feeling!!! And speaking about towels, our only real complaint is about the guy at the front desk. We wanted two extra towels and he told us that we could not get any additional towels because "that was not how they did things". Needless to say, that didn't go over very well with us. So my husband spotted a maid in the hallway, asked for more towels and she gladly supplied us with an extra set. MY TIP TO MANAGEMENT/CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE: when a guest wants additional towels, don't be such an ASS about it! Hotel looks newly renovated- we reserved online so check in was quick and easy. The front desk person was friendly and courteous. Room was clean and that king size bed was amazing after a day on the road. The breakfast area is huge. Food was plentiful and hot. I would not recommend staying in this hotel. The workers are courteous and the hotel looks relatively clean, but...I did not have a good experience. First, the prices are high. I thought that was because of the higher quality - but it's not high quality. The prices are as if it's downtown Nashville, when it's really Murfreesboro. I will say that the pictures available on the website are accurate - this is not an updated hotel. However, sometimes updated hotels look good but are raggedy, so pics alone don't necessarily mean anything. In this case, the pics reflect the lack of quality. Next, read the fine print. When I saw, "internet available, refrigerators available" etc. I assumed that those were included...I was incorrect. There was no refrigerator in my room (which is one of the reasons I chose this hotel). Since I booked via Hopper, the desk attendant said she couldn't switch rooms. Keep in mind that this room was over $200 a night with taxes and fees. When I entered my room - I could have fallen out from the odor! Smelled like a dirty locker room!! Awful. Just awful. At this point I called Hopper, they indicated they'd contact the hotel management. Of course, management was gone for the day and Hopper said they would try again in the morning. To Hopper's credit, sounds like they were successful reaching management the next day and negotiated giving me a refund for one of my three nights (we'll see if the refund actually comes through in a few days). Unfortunately, there was no offer to switch me to a room that didn't smell like dirty socks/underwear and one with a refrigerator. If this weren't Memorial Day weekend, I would have argued for a full refund and paid the extra to stay at the Courtyard Marriott. There is a free continental breakfast that is fine. Fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, muffins, waffles, etc. are all available. It's a decent spread and might save you a few bucks. The beds/pillows were not really comfortable...but at least they appeared clean. The television had super limited channels (no Lifetime, BET, VH1, etc.) - just the very basics. I struggled with getting the room temperature right because I didn't realize there was no centralized air, but instead, an old school air conditioning unit. And, the air conditioner was making all kinds of noise the first night, so I didn't get good sleep! If you have other hotel options - go with them. This hotel was super disappointing. read more

It's okay. The rooms are in serious need of an update. They're clean, but dated and worn. The TV is small, there's no fridge or microwave- at least in my room. I thought they had both from their website, or else I would have reserved another hotel; but the desk clerk says some rooms have them for an upcharge. Harumph. Pool closed a few days before I arrived; wish I had known that as well, because the pool influenced my choice. Since I arrived late and mainly was just going to be sleeping there, I didn't bother to change rooms or hotels. Still, both should have been made clear on the reservation page, or at least on my arrival. Bed was okay, not great. Quiet enough place, though I was up early so that didn't matter much. Breakfast was nice enough but minimal. Something to get you out the door so you can get some real food. They did at least have friendly staff, reasonable rates, plenty of charging points, and a decent bathroom. read more

The staff are the 4 stars here. Frank is sweet beyond measure. I was confused about billing and everyone was very patient with me to understand when I was anxious. The rate was $179 and the room was OK but when I went to clean up the bathroom, the water wouldn't go down in the lavatory and it stayed there all night, I was so disgusted. I didn't even shower. The room was clean with the exception of a badly stained chair. Very comfy bed. Clean bathroom and a great shower. I'm not sure about the effectiveness of the temperature control. Really disappointed with this hotel. First off during the Covid-19 issue only one desk member wore a mask, but only when he saw i wore one. The room did not have either a fridge or microwave which the web site said it would have. When my wife tried to adjust the light above her side of the bed it fell off the wall. Really exceeded our expectations! My husband and I got here late after a really long drive from FL to check in. We needed a room that had a fridge. Chason was at the front desk that evening and was so helpful with our request, we were even able to get an upgrade to a king suite on our room. The room itself was PRISTINE. I normally find most hotels lacking in cleanliness but this was insanely clean and the room itself was extremely spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Not bad compared to the others I. The area. That doesn't say a lot. Rooms are overpriced for what they are. Water damage in shower. Bed squeaked and creaked every time I rolled over. Very loud a/c unit. When we checked in last night, we met one of the most unfriendly young ladies we've encountered. Didn't get her name, but had short blond hair. This morning when I came down for coffee, I saw they were out of half and half. I asked in the kitchen, and a woman who was likely about 50 said "of course sir". A young man who said he was the "AGM" said there more by the other coffee station by front desk. I found that interesting how one wanted to accommodate and the other was quick to point me where to go so he wasn't inconvenienced. He also talked way too much, telling me that he booked a room under an alias so he could spy on staff. To me, the woman I encountered in kitchen was kind and helpful. Both others were not. I simply didn't see it as a great experience, and wouldn't return. read more

Checking in was very easy and I must say the customer service was top notch. Going above and beyond to help us with our needs. Clean room (on the surface) we micro ban every room (germ freaks) so you really see if rooms are wiped down or just sprayed with Lysol. Water pressure was nonexistent but it's hit or miss in hotels. This one was at least hot water! Could have had more towels but we seem to go thru them. We managed. We try to not impact housekeeping unless we have to. Even before covid we never liked having our room refreshed during our stay. Only issue we had was WiFi. Boy did they try to fix it too. Got it to work on my phone after much effort and iPad and then the iPad dropped it for streaming. Haven't been able to stream at Hampton's the entire trip unless it's pre downloaded shows. This site isn't doing warm breakfast. I don't do carbs or sugar so bagels and sugary yogurt don't cut it for breakfast included. Glad we are traveling with a cooler. read more

A little bit tricky to find. Set back from the road, and there's not tall sign to mark the driveway, so you could easily pass it on the first try. The driveway for Hampton Inn is just south of the Firestone Tire dealership, on Thompson. You'll see the Hampton Inn if you look south across the field as you drive east on Robert Rose Drive. Great parking lot. Welcoming staff. Free popcorn machine, but be careful. If you open both glass doors, the little metal wall at the bottom will fall out, releasing popcorn onto the floor. I joked that we should get someone's dog to come clean it up. There was a jar of dog biscuits in the lobby too. This is a pet-friendly hotel. The free breakfast was very nice. Scrambled eggs and either sausage or bacon. You can make your own waffle. Fresh fruit. OJ and cranberry juice. There is an outdoor pool and a small exercise room with a couple of treadmill type devices and two exercise balls, but I just exercised in my room. Our room was clean and had a shower stall instead of a tub. Mini coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Iron and board. Ice maker and vending machines across the hall. You access the wi-fi via your room number and name. Hubby liked the flat screen TV and program guide. Close to some good restaurants, a shopping mall, and the Stones River National Battlefield -- a huge national park, right in the center of beautiful Murfreesboro. Just head a couple miles north on Thompson, and you'll see a stone fence to mark the park entrance. read more

Loved this place. So clean with a ton of thoughtful touches: chess board table with pieces in lobby, a variety of refreshments, visually pleasing interior, adorable pics on key cards and next to room numbers for quick ID, and breakfast was no exception. There wasn't anything particularly remarkable in the breakfast: it had the usual waffle maker (but had cute mini chocolate chips you could add), eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins (with a well-stocked wide variety), and the most adorable silverware bins in multiple places. And I particularly like the non-partisan TV channel on the one TV so you weren't surrounded by political posturing first thing in the morning. And while the hotel allows pets, there were no untoward smells that I could detect. Our room was cute and clean. Lots of puffy pillows and comfy sheets. And I loved how many places we could charge devices since we're traveling cross country with kids and needed to recharge everything from IPads to phones to Kindles. We were able to get a double queen for just over $100 through a second party site which I'd highly recommend. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Hotel horror!!!!! If there was less than one star I would give it. Run as fast as you can from this booking. I have never in all my life experienced such horrible customer service in my entire 20 years as a Marriott ambassador titanium for life member. The front desk women (Shay-Lin?) that works the evening shift should be immediately fired. Beware--do not ever book this hotel as the evening front desk women took it upon herself to cancel my reservation upon arrival at 11pm and leaving my daughter and I standing out in the freezing cold rain with no place to go. Why? Because she was upset when she overhead me telling the Ambassador line that the hotel attendant was being difficult and would not help me get in to my room after showing her my DL address last name and same credit card on file. After speaking to the ambassador line and telling her they would be calling her she told me it doesn't matter because my room is canceled and I need to leave the premises---a mother and child in a strange city all by ourselves with no place to go. This horrific woman abused her power and left us out on the cold. She told me that I needed to leave the premises and called the police on me. The police office showed up and was totally in awe of the situation. He could not believe it. He said he spoke to her and unfortunately had no choice but to ask us to leave because she would not budge. I requested the video to prove that this women is totally out of line. We tried for two hours to find a place nearby having to go place to place because it was after 12am and we could not book online because the night was already over---we could only book for the next day stay. When I finally was able to get another hotel with the help of the ambassador line 3 hrs later at 3:30am (hotel was 50 minutes away and we had to drive through dark one lane roads with deer crossing and bridges after she also was calling numerous places, the hotel attendant at the courtyard told me that I would not have wanted to stay there anyway because they always get complaints and the Marriott is trying to get rid of this property---I can see why!!!!!! My daughter and I are traumatized!!!! If you value even one ounce of customer service do not stay here. It's not only unfriendly, it's old and outdated. The courtyard and residence inn hotel in the Murfreesboro area is a million times better. I promise You will be sorry if you go to this Fairfield. This Hampton was clean and well located off the freeway. We also really liked that it was located so close to an area thick with all kinds of restaurants (seafood, Thai, Chinese, steakhouse, All-American, etc.). We stopped for one night on a weekend traveling, and the rate was higher than at a Hampton Inn in Mississippi, but that could have been because it was a Saturday night. The breakfast area was very nice, decorated to feel something like a lodge. The breakfast food was the usual suspects (I like to make a waffle, then put yogurt and cream cheese on it), but there were no meat offerings that day, only eggs for protein. We would definitely stay here again. Hampton Inns are so reliably comfortable, clean and they always have free and working WiFi! read more

I recently visited this hotel for the Bonnaroo festival in June and am so happy with the choice I made. I at first was obviously hesitant as the location is 40 minutes away from Manchester but honestly.. going "home" to this after the festival each night was HEAVEN. Clearly, the clean bed and shower --- (A++) in my book considering mostly everyone in that festival roughed it, but actually it was much more than a warm, clean place to sleep in. I found the staff -- everyone from the cleaning ladies, to the ladies coordinating breakfast/evening meals to the ladies checking us in were composed of the UTMOST professionalism and friendliness. I couldn't believe the hospitality that was given to us and this is speaking from someone who has frequented 5 Diamond hotels and Suites in vegas and bh. I HIGHLY recommend this location! Wonderful staff, they have great breakfast, AND they had special dinner nights with beer, sweet tea and BBQ, which were pretty stellar. A lot of the people who drink were particularly fond of that. :) Special note: One of the nights [around 1am] a group of kids were throwing a huge party in the room over, the staff (before I even had to call) made them quiet down on three separate occasions within an hour and finally either kicked them out, or moved them to a secluded area.... It's always great when I don't have to unleash the fury on a bunch of kids for being rude.. Anyway, super clean, great staff, good food/breakfast, and even made a few exceptions regarding various things for the team. Super recommended, but may be a bit pricey.... read more

I was at Murfreesboro, TN for work and Hampton Inn offered a nice room for a very reasonable price. I think it's a relatively new building. I was greeted nicely, check-in was very smooth. I was offered water and I asked if I can get shaving cream and toothbrush, both was given instantly. Lobby looks very nice with nice chairs and couches, big screen TV. They were having a guest appreciation night with free food (pizza, salad) and drinks (beer). I came late night and they offered free popcorn and lemonade/ice-tea. Room was very clean. Free internet. TV channels worked very nicely. Breakfast was also very good from eggs to toasts to fruits, yogurt, sausage, fruit drinks, coffee, tea, etc. parking is free. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. read more

We stayed here because it was pet friendly. Rooms were clean, huge room for a low price. The breakfast was adequate, fairly typical of a hotel breakfast. front desk staff was nice and friendly. It was too cold to use the pool but it seemed clean. Didn't use fitness center or technology center. Very pet friendly with a side entrance and field to sniff around in for baxter. I would highly recommend it and will plan on staying here again if I'm in M'boro with my dog. Baxter wants me to add that everything smelled nice, he liked looking out the window, running around the room and especially sleeping on the bed with his owners because that's not allowed at home. read more

Good free parking, a number of stores and restaurants near by. Had cups and ice water, coffee & Hot Chocolate along with Fresh popped popcorn when we arrived. All Great Amenities. Really liked the numerous options to plug in and charge electronics. Would have given a 4 except as we arrived someone was Smoking right at the entrance, and that someone turned our to be the front desk clerk for whom we had to walk through their smoke to get inside. read more

After a long drive most people want a place to relax and enjoy a quiet nights sleep. At almost $400 for one night! Not the case at this hotel. At 3AM a constant door opening and closing (like it was on my head) interrupted sleep for 1 hour. EVERY 30-45 seconds. Called the front desk and believed I left a message for someone to investigate. It started again at 6AM for approx 30 minutes. Called the desk again spoke to Kendra who was sweet and polite and would pass on the Jay the manager/owner. Upon check out with no response from Jay, Morgan at the front desk was sensitive and would pass my inquiry to Jay. Called the hotel to speak to Jay on Monday, he in out of town. Morgan said she would pass on my information. Called the hotel Tuesday spoke to Jay, he did it get the messages, I explained what happened and he basically called me a liar. Where is the hospitality in the hospitality business? All I wanted was the "effort" on his part to make an accommodation. I wasn't asking for anything extraordinary, just an apology that I was inconvenienced might have been enough. Now I will be forced to dispute the entire charge on my credit card read more

My wife loves them 'cause they're "cozy." Price is right. Rooms are always clean. The complimentary breakfast is appreciated. Online reservations are easy. Check-in/check-out process is efficient. Here's a new twist. I was very upset that the hotel fire alarm went off at 9:45 pm, and we had just driven from Florida and needed to get started very early the next morning. Woke us both up out of a sound sleep. I didn't smell smoke, so went back to bed, but asked the desk in the morning if they had an explanation. It appears that one of the patrons was cooking popcorn in the microwave and it burned, setting off the alarms. It was not the hotel's fault, so I think that it's great to know that the fire alarm works, making us feel safer to stay there. Also, there was fresh made popcorn in the lobby, so what nut was trying to do micro corn anyway? They did charge us $35 for our dog, but is a top hotel and would stay here again. They even had a manager party the day we checked in with chili dogs, beer, etc., and it was all very good-didn't have to go out for food. Breakfast was one of the best I've had. The room was in perfect shape and very clean. Bed very comfy and very clean linens. I could go on and on, but no need to, just take my word for it that this is the place to stay and the staff is totally friendly and very helpful. My only regret is that we left without leaving a tip for the maid, which we usually leave $5/night if things are at all acceptable. We just forgot and it's too late now, but I'll try to make it up on the next trip. The problem is it most likely will not be the same housekeeper as before. So sorry about that, but everything about this Hampton Inn gets a five star rating for sure. read more

The hotel staff was Wonderful and the location is absolutely 5 stars. The rooms were bed bugs free stayed on the 4th floor 412 and 415 I did my on check on the bugs as well as makin sure we had clean linen on the bed and clean towels and washcloths. The downside of stayin here is the AWFUL smell of FUCKIN dogs through out the hotel even in the elevator so the next time in Murfreesboro We WILL NOT be stayin here again. Very not sanitary to let dogs in the eating area and a VERY strong smell of dogs. YUCK!!!! read more
