Double Dave's is one of those old favorites back in college. Over time different locations have gone up and down. This one turned out great on Thursday lunch time. This place had the buffet running. Most are not running a buffet anymore which is unfortunate. Cost was $14 no drink. Dang, back in the day it was $5 with a drink. I started off with a nice simple salad. Mom always told me to eat my greens even if its a salad. I like rabbit food. The main attraction why I was there....pizza roles. I ate well too many and they tasted just as good as the old days. I did try a bite or two of some of the pizza and that was just filler. Think frozen quality. Like I said, pizza roles are why you are there. I ordered Double Dave's via Ubereats today and I am going to say I've been sleeping on DD the last decade but that is going to change. I use to order frequently for my coworkers and I years ago and I always got the Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli. I got that today along with a Works pizza and a cherry strudel. Everything was delicious !!! The dough was cooked just right, slightly crispy but not hard. Everything tasted super fresh and nothing was greasy. All my special instructions were followed. Everything looked tasty and was packaged well and you could tell that whoever made the order takes pride in doing a good job. I'm gonna have to add them back into the rotation heavily. read more

When I order a pepperoni pizza I don't want an interpretive dance, I want a pepperoni pizza. I wanna see how an entire pig gave his life to help pay for my heart surgeons's Maserati. And that's what you'll get here. The night I was there, however, they seem to be having some difficulty. Either not everyone was TABC certified or ordering a beer had to go through some kind of chain of command. But somehow the proposition "put beer in glass"had become as complicated as "launch missile from nuclear submarine." I'm trying to pour beer in my belly, not plutonium on Vladivostok. This was by far the worst pizza experience we have had in a long time. They must not have had anyone doing quality control when making our order. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. I am not exaggerating when I say every part of the pizza was burned. The pepperonis were black and hard as rocks. the cheese was past the point of melting and was just crunchy. The crust was so hard we had trouble chewing it. There was hardly any sauce, probably because it all burned off! Breadsticks were worse. Not burned, but so bland and flavorless they were inedible. Even the dipping sauce didn't help much. For the first time in years, my family threw away the uneaten half of our pizza. No one was willing to eat any more of that horrible meal. EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been to this location it never misses. The pizza is always hot and delicious, and the staff are nothing but pleasant. We ordered a medium pepperoni (i know original right?) and 2 side salads. The salad bar was standard fare, but the pickles tasted weird. . who knows how long those have been there. It might sound weird but it was nice to try bacos, instead of real bacon pieces. . Its been so many years since Ive tasted that. So, what could they do to improve. They might start by admitting that they have no clue how to make Pizza, that they are in fact, an oil change shop masquerading as a Pizza joint. The buffet had a wide variety of pizzas and desserts, the staff was attentive and friendly, and everything was clean. Best of all the price was comparable to Cici's, but with a far lower risk of dysentery or a staph infection. If you arrive by six on Wednesday, you can enjoy the buffet before the 7pm crowd arrives. Buffet night is great for kids, but probably not ideal for a couple seeking a quiet intimate dining experience. My minions fit right in with the other kids at nearly every table. Went yesterday around 5 pm. Place was not busy at all. Had one table with people already eating when we arrived and one guy showed up by himself after us, and they took one delivery order out that I could see. Repeated my order three times before the girl gave up and went and got someone else to take our order (literally I said we wanted a specific special package and got as far as ordering the type of pizza and that's as far as she got). The guy that she went to get started all over from the beginning which was annoying but okay. Once the pepperoni sticks and pizza came out and we were finished eating, we still hadn't gotten the cinnamon dessert that was part of our order so we had to go ask. (They totally forgot because we sat there for at least another 15 minutes before that came out.). Then when that came out we asked for to go boxes and the girl who attempted to take our order brought out the very smallest box to put two thirds of large pizza and more than half of the pepperoni sticks in. (Basically that would only fit the dessert which we also had to go ask for a box for shortly after she brought back a large box.). This used to be a favorite spot for us but it's just not worth the $50+ I spent. read more

The owners and the manager are not good people. When I worked there I had to deal with extreme sexual harassment from the manager on a daily basis, and when I told him it wasn't okay, he said I wasn't a fun person anymore and he sent me home. When I quit because of it and told the owners about what happened, they didn't care at all. Not even a "sorry." The pizza is mediocre, the owner is mean to kids at the buffet, and their prices are pretty high. I've always been a fan of Double Dave's pizza, and as far as pizza goes I'd give them 3 or 4 stars. I've been to this location a few times for the 11-2 lunch buffet, and I'm a little disappointed. By 1:15 there are about 8 slices from three different pizzas, a few pepperoni rolls and a selection of desert stuff. There are 10 of us still in here, and I'm wondering - are they not making more pizza because their business dies off from 1 to 2, or does their business die off because they stop making pizzas? I know I can go ask them to make another pizza, a couple of the people here did that while I drafted my review on my phone, but my point is I shouldn't **have** to do that.
