They always get my order right, the staff is always sweet, and the decor is so nostalgic. 10/10 will always recommend Double Dave's on Boonville!! (The pepperoni rolls are top tier!)

    Hair in pizza

Picked up a Large pepperoni pizza ,a chocolate chip dessert,& 2 soda's on 5/5/23 around 5:30pm for my daughter to enjoy at the park, but we threw half of it away after noticing a hair was baked into the pizza dough. Pizza was okay but appetite was ruined after seeing the long auburn hair hanging out

Pizza was dry and had spots with no toppings or cheese at all. Not even enough sauce on it. Then they ran out of tea.

His descriptions of the different dishes, including the specials was very detailed and informative. Frankie also knew about the drink specials and recommended the "Spicy VIP" which was amazing with the complex flavors of the pineapple infused vodka with the fresh jalapeños and Tajin rim.

The restaurant itself was great for this family of 8 celebrating the youngest brother's 21st. We had Abraham as our server and he was amazing. He hit everything one would want in a top tier server. He was informative, attentive and still down to earth and able to understand this families' quirks! We did not have any complaints about the food we were served! Large portions, drinks were all amazing. Each of us got a different entree. Baked Ziti - Hubby hardly orders pasta, loved this one. The sauce had the right amount of heat with a slight sweetness. Linguine and Clams - Birthday Boy loved and says it's definitely a cravable entree that he would go back for. Chicken Parmesan- a lot, made our son's girlfriend happy and did not disappoint Chicken Alfredo - so much food here, Son's fiancé had to take the rest home but loved it. Scallop Special - oldest son loved the portion size and size of the scallops Gnocchi- son#4 has eaten here before and swears by it, even though he claims it's not as good as his mommas I got the filet with the mushrooms and sautéed spinach. Cooked perfectly medium rare, cut like butter. Didn't want the onion rings it came with, but it came with it. So just sent them home with one of the kids. Granddaughter got spaghetti noodles with a butter sauce -- she is 3 and ate half the full adult portion. Prices are high end, but seriously when making a reservation you would know that. Great date night or big celebration dinner to book!!

The spaghetti sauce was rich tomato without overly zesty and the meatballs were seasoned perfectly. The tea is wonderful. The service was friendly and efficient AND we finished it off with the chocolate toffee mouse cake which was over the top decadent. What a wonderful place to eat and relax. The ambiance is truly Italian finesse and relaxing.

The restaurant is nestled downtown College Station where you can walk up and down the Main with cute lights when it's night and some entertainment down the road. The restaurant is on the corner and the inside was very clean and you can tell it has some history. A person, who I believe was the owner, greeted us and sat us down right away. The vibe is fairly quaint and the ambiance is dark but chill. The menu is minimal but I love that there aren't 100s of options. We were greeted by a very nice server who offered fresh baked bread. While I live for fresh baked bread, this tasted old and stale. It didn't taste fresh but almost as though it had been sitting out for some as it was dry and super chewy. What we ordered: - the lobster w/lobster and added shrimp: pasta was perfectly cooked But the sauce was missing one crucial ingredient....salt!! My son, who is 12, also noted it was very bland and lacked any seasoning! He put salt and pepper and said it was much better but needed a lot of help! The lobster and shrimp were a bit over cooked as well, it was slightly rubbery. - the lobster (substitute lobster for chicken): the same review as the dish above, but the chicken was a bit dry and over cooked. - mozzarella garlic bread: this was the highlight of the meal! Very stringy like they used fresh mozzarella and garlicky just like we like it with marinara sauce! - calamari: one of my son's favorites but he noted they seemed frozen and not fresh! He couldn't eat it because the calamari was very tough and chewy! It was a major let down! While I appreciate the concept, and maybe it was an off day when we went, we'd think twice about going there again! The service was impeccable but the food is why I have it a 3. (Please note we ate here in April 2025)

I cannot express enough how incredible she was to us. She was warm, charismatic, genuinely fun to talk to, and so attentive without ever hovering. You can tell when someone actually cares about the experience they're giving you, and she absolutely did. PLEASE request her as your waiter if you ever visit this establishment. She will make your experience 10x better! The ambiance deserves its own moment. The decorations are completely one of a kind. There's a small waterfall you pass as you walk from the entrance into the dining area, which immediately sets the tone. The lighting is warm and inviting, there's greenery throughout the space, and the Italian decor is pleasing to the eye. I usually go during lunch hours for their fantastic pricing, so I can't speak to how loud it gets when there's live music in the evenings. But during lunch, it's perfect. My sister and I had wonderful conversations and could hear each other with ease. And the lunch prices? Amazing. We both ate for $30 total, which honestly feels rare lately. Especially for a sit-down restaurant! Because the service was that good, I happily left a 50% tip. It was more than deserved, and I genuinely wish I could've left more, but college students have to pinch pennies here and there. Now let's talk about the food. My sister is a full-blown pizza connoisseur, and she orders pizza at basically every restaurant we go to. this place is her number two spot of all time, only second to a small local joint back in our hometown. That should say a lot. I had a bite of hers, and it was fantastic. Super cheesy and genuinely delicious. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll be requesting Anamarie every single time if she's available.
