Peproni rolls are good, but the place was absolutely FILTHY. There were two other tables seated when we arrived- every single other table was dirty. Not just with uncleared food and dishes, but covered in grease and goop. Salad bar was nearly empty and disgustingly dirty. Drink area hadn't been wiped down in who knows when. I can only imagine what the kitchen area looks like. I wonder if there's a health department in Bastrop. Seriously. Blech. I won't be back. read more

Cafeteria style pizza. Not very good and not worth the money. I just moved to the area a month ago and this was the only place that delivered to my location just outside of Bastrop. Its safe to safe I will go pick up my pizza now from other pizza places. Sorry guys but I think you should take a look at what your doing wrong and fix it. read more

Have been several times for pizza and the beer at Happy Hour..friendly staff and so my daughter and I dropped in for lunch Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed the buffet..very low key and like how they yell out new additions to the buffet..we both LOVED the desserts, so much so that we went back on Thursday for the buffet again and they had cherry to go along with the apple strudel like desserts..oh so good! Love going to the DD lunch buffet. They have it til 2 every day and the cherry struedel is my favorite. I like that they have different pizzas and they have a monthly special at a good price. You can ask them to make anything you want and it's up in a few minutes. I also like the salad bar because they have all the essentials and it's always clean and well stocked. The people that work there are super nice and it just feels like a fun place to work. Overall, it's my go to place in Bastrop for a lunch out. read more

I'm totally a fan! The people that work there are so nice, and I love that you can request a specialty pizza for the buffet!! That is awesome. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because they don't do the buffet for dinner, that kinda sucks but the salad bar and pizza bar (for lunch) is always fantastic and we love going there. This place should get way better reviews than it is getting. read more

Doubledave's is always a great option for lunch because of their lunch buffet. We visit often for the wide range of pizzas, the peproni rolls, and the deserts! It might not be the best pizza possible, but it is the best option in town. read more

The staff was so friendly, we went for the buffet and the manager was putting fresh tasty pizzas out every 10 minuets. We loved it!

Love this place... the atmosphere, the staff is very fun and friendly, and the pizza is superb! This is now the ONLY pizza I will eat.

A lunchtime go-to for us. Glad these guys opened up a Bastrop location. Lunch buffet is the way to go, can I say all-you-can-eat pepperoni rolls? Salad bar is OK but they will take requests for pizzas during the buffet, that is cool. Beers on tap, IIRC there were 11 or 12, and not just the typical. They had Alaskan White too. More in bottles, Delivery can be kind of slow but we are on the outside of where they deliver so I won't knock them for that. Pepperoni rolls are THE menu item here. Dave's Fave Meat on thin crust is my pizza recommendation. read more

If you want reasonable service don't order. Tried to get a delivery, but after restaurant figured out we were soldiers they bumped their minimum order to $150 plus a $20 delivery fee. Refusing to honor the previous minimum order price they quoted 10 minutes prior. So, in short, if you support Double Dave's you are supporting terrorism. read more

Food was made to order, so it was hot and fresh. But the sandwich was very very salty and needed more filling. Hopefully the pizza is better then the sandwiches. Not a lot of fast causal places in Bastrop so I'll probably be back again but definitely will try something else. (I had a Philly cheese steak!) read more

I'm giving the Doubledaves in Bastrop 3 stars. They truly have the best pizza around but unfortunately every time my family and I dine there the dining room, salad bar, and drink stations are filthy. It really concerns me, as a previous food service manager, that cleanliness is not a priority. If it's acceptable for the customer to see a dirty dining area, it makes me wonder how bad is the kitchen and prep area? I really, really want it to be clean because I love the food and atmosphere. Great experience! I would definitely go back here. I got the pizza buffet on a Saturday for lunch. It was only about $10 including a drink, pizza, and salad bar. They were constantly putting out new pizzas, so the food was hot and fresh. They had spinach and Philly cheese steak roll things that were the best. The dessert pizzas were great as well. They also serve beer and have a sporty atmosphere. The employees seemed laid back and nice. read more

This is my first time on yelp Im not one to complain because I know people make mistakes. But I am outraged with double Dave's in Bastrop. The first time I laced my order a couple of weeks ago every thing was fine other than they didn't deliver the Dr. Pepper no prob again people make mistakes. I didn't even call them for that. Its just dr pepper. but this time again no drink I ,no salad,no extra dressing that I paid for. When we opened the box two of the pizza was RAW! Again no harm no fowl right? My wife called they re did her order. I opened my box and what did I see another raw pizza. So I called this t this and informed them of this she put me on hold twice before I could finish. Once she got back on the line I told her about the soda, salad, and the Parmesan chicken stuffer was raw as well. At this point she got rude with me. She said so you want me to call my driver back and redo the order. As if she didn't believe me. I told here I will bring it to them. When I got there the young kid at the counter didn't think it was raw either so I opened the box and pulled the toppings off and asked him of that's raw at this point he started making excuses. Said their was too many toppings. Really! Don't you think at this point you would want to tell your customer what can I do to make of right. But I kept getting excuses. I don't know how they stay in business with customer service like that. Total disregard for the customers. read more
