We come here fairly regularly, always getting a large Meateater and a couple beers. Always tasty. Friendly service. Its a pizza place! Nothing fancy but solid pizza you can depend yo br good at a fair price. We love it. Now, I admit we always get the meat eaters and thats amazing. Can't speak to other offerings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It super casual and easy. No fuss. No muss[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Quick bite on our way home from San Antonio and it was just alright. Service is good. More so the person filling the salad bar. She was full of smiles and informed me of what she was still bringing back out so that I didn't finish my plate yet which was nice since I got the 1 plate salad option. The 1 plate was $4.99 versus all you can eat was $9.99. I packed on enough on my plate and it was plenty. The pizzas were crispy on the bottoms but they're just missing some flavor. I sprinkled salt, cheese and peppers and it helped. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seats and even has patio seating. Pretty casual kickback spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have 2 arcade games tucked away way in the back near the bathrooms that you'd miss if you never sit near there or go to the restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's Double Dave's but in Bastrop. Same as the ones in Austin. Employees were NOT playing grab-a$$ as mentioned in other older reviews. The place was moderately busy, but service and food was great, on time, fresh. They also had 10 or so different beers on tap.

Their attempt at a BBQ chicken pizza

Terrible customer service experience!!!! A mistake was made with their online ordering app which could have been easily remedied by the staff. Rather than offer to remake the order, offer a refund/ discount, or attempt to help in anyway. Their solution? Pay for an additional pizza as well as the incorrectly made pizza. A soggy pizza with BBQ sauce and red onions only? What the actual F#%*?!?! Don't waste your time with this place!!

    My daughter loves the crust.

Pizza was fresh and hot. My daughter loved the crust. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is an outdoor patio which is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Called to place an order for pick up at 8:33. Was told the ovens were off and they were closed. ...then she confirmed that they closed at 9:00, said "ok" and hung up. I tried ordering online. Not accepting orders, but not yet closed.

Dave's Fave Pizza is a 5/10 nothing special, marinara-less (yes it's supposed to be but still) flavor- ish pizza.

Awful service. Staff here couldn't care less. Don't order online or call ahead, as they won't make your order.

Since it was my last day in town and I was headed to the airport later, we didn't have enough time to arrange it. Instead, he suggested taking me to Boring Bodega, which is located literally across the street from the SpaceX Bastrop Facility, so at least I could snap a few photos from there. I was seriously confused at first because pulling up to Boring Bodega feels a little like stumbling into a pop-up oasis in the middle of rural Texas. This place looks more like the entrance to a country fair than a cafe. Off to the side, a row of food trucks greets you like an informal welcome committee, their colorful signs and picnic tables giving the place a casual, anything-goes vibe. Lol. Then you walk inside... and suddenly it makes sense. Boring Bodega is a unique "future fancy" grocery store and community hub located in the heart of Hyperloop Plaza. Owned by Elon Musk's Boring Company, the place blends like a full-service market with a modern, tech-forward aesthetic. Think Silicon Valley startup energy meets Texas roadside market. Walking aisle to aisle, you realize this place has a little bit of everything going on. One section feels like a boutique grocery market, stocked with high quality snacks, pantry staples, and grab and go foods. Another aisle carries drinks of every kind like sodas, energy drinks, sparkling waters plus a massive beer and wine selection. They even have shelves dedicated to pet food and pet supplies, which makes sense because people seem to hang out here for a while. Toward the back you'll find a his & hers barber shop, which caught me completely off guard in what I initially thought was just a convenience store. There are also spaces designed for community hangouts and games, and outside you'll spot pickleball courts, making it feel less like a store and more like a social hub for the surrounding tech campus. My friend also mentioned something pretty cool. Apparently, there's a tunnel employees can take from inside SpaceX that connects underground to Hyperloop Plaza, so employees there can pop over here without even going outside. Not sure if that's insider privilege or just peak Elon-universe infrastructure, but it definitely adds to the whole futuristic vibe of the place. And yes--they also do made to order sandwiches and light cafe items. Since it was my last day before heading to the airport, my friend and I grabbed a quick lunch here. I ordered the $10 Falafel Veggie Pita and my friend went with the $13 Carne Asada Protein Bowl. The portions were massive and the quality was fresh. Overall, Boring Bodega is one of those places that defies easy categorization. It's part grocery store, part cafe, part hangout, and part tech campus convenience hub all sitting across the street from SpaceX in Bastrop.

My husband and I have stopped by Boring Bodega several times to get snacks for picnics. We went…read morethis Wednesday, and got some yummy snacks, but the vibes were off. Three quarters of the building was dark. The building is already odd enough. It would make sense to convert a warehouse, but to build a new warehouse building in hopes of creating a store and hangout area is strange. My husband thought it was fine, so I guess that's what you get when a man (especially Elon Musk) attempts interior design. I like how they offer unique healthy snacks. However, this time I decided to try food from their hot food counter. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, which is one of my favorite foods. You could add meat to it for an upcharge, but I wanted to see how it was as a pure grilled cheese first. It was underwhelming, but only $6, so I'm not too salty about it. It is basically a panini with just cheese, and the bread to cheese ratio is off. Not enough cheese. However, with meat, as a traditional panini, it would probably be pretty good. I think the bread was sourdough. There was a short wait for the sandwich, which made it almost as convenient as any of the prepackaged snacks.

And the place is a time machine, rolling back the decades. Little has changed here in the past three quarters of a century, which makes it very charming. They have farm-fresh eggs, locally-grown salad greens, sausage, cheese, breakfast tacos, baked-from-scratch pop tarts, Texas pretzel bread and other items in this small store, without feeling crowded. At the coffee bar, I had a cortado (Spain's take on a cappuccino -- equal parts espresso and steamed milk) along with a little chocolate truffle. We also picked up some Opa Klein's amazing summer sausage and a six pack of Stash IPA to go. We're coffee snobs. We'll be back for the best cuppa joe in town, at a minimum. Special thanks to Mike K (one of Tracy's baristas) for telling us about this place as he serenaded us during brunch at downtown restaurant. He's a very talented guy, and very proud to be associated with this quaint and historic Bastrop fixture. You know you're doing something right as a business owner when your staff naturally delivers your best and most effective marketing, just from the sheer enthusiasm and pride of working there. So, yeah, it's a tiny little time warp, but it's well run and worth coming to, especially if you're into great coffee.
