We worked with DPDJ for music/lighting and videography at the suggestion of our wedding planner and we are thrilled! They were informative, professional, and responsive. Even with having to manage through COVID, Bill was flexible on adding services/changing plans slightly with little notice. We got a lot of compliments on the music played during dinner and the reception and our DJ (Sean) kept the energy up! While we haven't seen the end product for videography, working with Chris was great! He was professional and friendly and I'm excited to see his work! We would definitely recommend working with DPDJ!! read more

Double Platinum was great. Bill is awesome and helped us set up all the things we wanted!! Marquee letters, photo booth, an ice cream truck (nice bites) and a great DJ!!! Our DJ Nolan did a great job and kept the dance floor full!! He took our playlist in mind but added some great hits too. The pricing is awesome, also! read more

Conner was the best from day 1 at our 1st meeting to the end of our wedding night. He was so kind and patient with us and always acknowledged or responded so promptly with our MANY questions and or changes. We felt at ease because he always had an answer and he is confident in what he does - and that is what couples need during wedding planning- someone who is cool, calm and collected. He showed up early to the wedding prepared - and executed his assignment like we had asked. He is professional , social and he was a blessing to have on our wedding day. He was able to keep the people dancing and the floor packed. We couldn't be happier with Conner and double platinum! We highly recommend them! read more

Bill's DPDJ Company was fabulous. We used them for DJ services (Connor), photobooth (David) and videography (Chris). Could not have been more pleased. Thanks for all the hard work. You all made the wedding day beautiful. People at the wedding were asking about your services Bill. We have and will continue to recommend you to all! Highly recommend this company for your next event!!! read more

It was a pleasure working Double Platinum and DJ Conner. We and all our guests had a great experience. Conner was professional, flexible and kept the dance floor active all night with his music/lighting/overall work. We also used Double Platinum's gold chiavari chairs. The delivery/set-up was smooth, the chairs were the perfect fit for the space, and we received many compliments on their quality. An all around great experience and we would recommend Double Platinum to any couples getting married! read more

A DJ is arguably one of the most important pieces of your wedding- ensuring the events of the night run seamlessly and keeping your guests entertained and engaged. Bill and his team went above and beyond to make sure that happened! They did their homework and came prepared to our wedding with the music they knew our guests would enjoy. He kept our dance floor FULL all night and everyone has commented about how fun they had. We also had a monogram and a backlit wall added to our package which added a simple, but elevated touch to our venue. Hands down one of the best DJ's we've seen at a wedding (and not being biased because it was ours) and I would highly recommend! read more

We had a terrible experience with Double Platinum DJ for our wedding on 8-7-21. The DJ played the wrong song for walking down the aisle (so the mother of the bride was walking down during the bride's song) and then during the first dance, which we had spent hundreds of dollars on dance lessons for, cut out a minute into the song. He got it going awhile later but we had no idea where in the song it was and missed out on much of the dance we had worked so hard on. The worst is that we reached out after the wedding several times to have a conversation about this, and they wouldn't respond to us. We were never offered an explanation, an apology, or even a response. In fact, after the first meeting with them, we never really had good communication ever again - they lost track of our playlist packet, our payment, and honestly don't seem to care that this was such a negative experience for us. I would never recommend this type of service because it made me feel awful. read more

DPDJ and our DJ Matt did a tremendous job at our wedding. Professionally speaking, Matt was a great DJ. He kept us on track throughout the night, played great music, and handled requests superbly. He had a great feel for the crowd. Personally, he was very laid back and an easy person to talk with. The service itself went so smoothly in part to the discussions they proactively have with us leading up to the big day. On the big day, we could sit back and take it all in without Matt needing any direction from us. The equipment they had was in good order and the up lighting they provide made for a great visual experience of our venue and dance floor later, top notch! I would recommend to anyone with an upcoming wedding to go to DPDJ Service. They provide a great experience at a fair price. read more

I can't say enough great things about Diloma from Double Platinum DJ. He arrived early, he was prepared, and my guests loved him and his music line up. I gave him my list and he made it his own. Highly recommend! read more

Double Platinum DJ Service - This was before 175 people showed up but it was a tented wedding reception and it was perfect in every way! - DJs Near Me - New Berlin, Wisconsin

I would highly recommend Double Platinum DJ for your wedding or any event! Bill was great to work with and he accommodated all of our requests for our wedding! I had no idea where to start with as far as what music we wanted or needed for the wedding, but Bill laid out everything so easily, we just had to fill in the blanks! He is an amazing DJ and had our guests dancing all night long! Not only did he DJ our wedding, but we also had some amazing add-ons! We had string lights in the cocktail area as well as the reception area, a string light backwall behind the head table, and marquee letters in front of the head table. He really captured our vision of what we wanted and everything looked AMAZING! I am so grateful we found Double Platinum DJ and all of the amazing things they offer! read more

It was a pleasure working with Double Platinum DJ for our wedding. My initial conversations with Bill and Alex regarding the costs associated and what DPDJ offers were great - they are so easy to work with. They took all of our music request into consideration and their songbook packet hits almost every question you could think needs answering for the wedding day. They work with Apple products and since we're PC/Windows people, we need to work out how to display our wedding slideshow. It came down to giving Alex my personal laptop on the wedding day which he took care of and was happy to work with - very accommodating! They provided great uplighting and made our venue space look great for our reception. Alex was a great MC for the night and everyone had a great time. Thank you!!! read more

My cousin had a wedding a few months back, and our DJ, Allen, was SICK!!! I do some DJing on the side, and not only did Allen sound AWESOME on the mic and keep the event flowing smoothly, but Allen's chops on the turntables was unreal. He kept the place dancing all night! I couldn't believe it, but even my 89 year old grandmother was dancing up a storm! When Allen called "last song" it was so disappointing, if for any other reason that we wanted the party to go on all night! We still talk about how awesome the music was that Allen provided, and I still joke with my cousin that he needs to get divorced so that we can have the wedding all over again! Double Platinum is the best! read more

** If you are thinking of using this company, BEWARE!. I'm not over exaggerating this situation but hope to raise awareness to how they treat people and in hopes reading this you decide to go some place else** Absolutely the worst customer service iv had had. They say they are professional but they have not been with me. Where do I start!? Once we sent the check for almost $2,000 we heard nothing from them for almost a month. We finally called them and they said that someone would get a hold of us the Saturday before our event. Well, that Saturday came, no phone call, no emails. We waited until that Monday before the reception, I called. Left a message in the office to make sure we had a DJ for our wedding reception that weekend. No one answered. So left a message.. Tuesday came around, i called again, no answer still. Wednesday came, i called, still no answer or response. Thursday came, I called from my Fathers cell phone and they finally got back to my Dad. And said that the DJ will get in touch later Thursday. Well, the DJ didn't call until Friday morning. Talk about stressing the bride out! I have a million of other things that need to get done and stressed about I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not this "professional" DJ service was going to show up. just awful communication with us. But, it only gets better The reason why I chose this expensive company was to get the TimeLaps Video of our wedding reception. Something I could have that would last forever. Something I would share with my friends, family and eventually our own family. Well, two weeks after the reception I had to Once Again get a hold of this "professional"company to get my TimeLaps video that we had our hearts set on of our big day. They wrote back saying that the file was corrupt and they don't have a file for me. And that they were going to refund me only $150 . Its not like it was a string of lights not working, it was OUR video! If I would have known they wouldn't have been able to provide this I would have went with another company and gotten a videographer. I signed the contract knowing that everything was going to be in working order. Weather the timelaps was an extra add on, they did not comply with the contract. This company isn't what it is cracked up to be and I am very very disappointed and heart broken. Hopefully small claims will be able to help me. Thank you Double DJ for a memorable wedding experience. read more

David was a great DJ. He paid close attention to our (somewhat musically complicated) needs, and did what he needed to do to keep everyone dancing during the reception. His professionalism and care really showed throughout the entire day, and the ceremony and reception went flawlessly. We gave him a complicated list of music to pull from, however he understood that the crowd wanted something different... So he made the decision to go with other selections, with great success. I would recommend him to anyone needing a wedding DJ, as Double Platinum seems up to the task to handle almost any type of need you could throw at them. read more

We would highly recommend Double Platinum, and specifically DJ Sean, for any wedding. Sean was so professional, respectful, and just a great DJ! He really kept our event on track and seemed to read the room well. Our dance floor was packed all night and he did a great job of playing requests and songs he knew people would love. Additionally, Double Platinum's owner/office manager were so easy to plan with and were probably our most professional and timely vendor. Highly recommend!! read more

Double Platinum was fantastic to work with for our wedding. They offered tons of additional options for the ceremony and reception. We communicated ahead of time and were able to have our questions answered and meet in person to see options. Our DJ, David, was amazing. We communicated ahead of time to go over our plans and vibe. He did just the right amount of keeping us in the loop throughout the night and making decisions as we went along. His years of experience in the business made me feel confident that the night would work out perfectly. We loved working with David and had a wonderful experience! read more

With an unlimited choices for music I will never forgive myself for wasting $1700+ to hire this business. My fiance and I decided to invest more in our DJ thinking the uplighting & slideshow was going to make our well planned event even more perfect. After a well polished presentation& so not to lose our date our 1st doubt was when we saw our check was cashed and hadnt received the contract. After a month of calks and emails I was told the owner Bill was on vacation twice and a funeral out of town.We were just looking for a professional, seasoned DJ that would honor our requests. We were looking forward to a effortless, fun reception with various types of music tastes. We spend countless hours selecting our first dance, generation& parent dances & music checklist to have it all ignored.Like all brides I just was disallussioned that MY planning was enough once I hired a "professional".After many calls and emails, time was counting down, I started to wonder some details for slideshow. When we 1st arrived Ryan never introduced himself to any of us or our professionals. He also never checked the volume of the mic outside. No one could hear us.Many hours of photo gathering for my special surprise for my groom but I was wondering about my DJ. During the time we had scheduled for slideshow he didnt even have it cued up or checked. The first run didnt work at all. As guests patiently waited we thought maybe a toast to stall. Bestman asked him for a mic but was told no toasts were planned! Yes they were! Ok, now take 2 for slideshow. After a few minutes guests were just starting to enjoy it,IT STOPPED!! My photographer went up to him, again on his phone and didn't even know it had stopped!Time now for surprise we had planned for our guests, fireworks. Our planning sheet had a specific time to announce it to our guests.Ryan with a mumbling, no energy approach told people to go outside. Because of the way he had the speakers set up in this rather odd shaped room(a professionals job to sound check) most guests couldn't hear or understand him. My MOH starts going to each table to get outside While outside though Ryan did find time to try to score some free cocktails from our open bar! He aporoached staff numerous times for alcohol. When we were all done with fireworks there was again no background music playing (akward silence) until a guest had to suggest a few songs.NONE if which were ever played through rhe night, nor anyone elses. Now for the most heartbreaking part of this review. My grandfather was 90 , we literally planned our date for him to be there. but has always held me for our special polka at every event. On our checklist we listed a specific time as he wasn't staying into the evening. As we always play that specific version it was important for us. I was socializing with our guests not realizing how late it was. The videotaper ran out to the parking lot and escorted him back in for a special surprise from his granddaughter. Well of course Ryan again had nothing ready and was again on his phone. My surprise was ruined and my Grandfather passed away shortly after my wedding. As if it can't have anymore go terrible wrong.well he completed missed our "generation" dance of married couples. Many of the couples had left early do to the "blahzy" , "boring" DJ and bad sound. I really was looking forward to this. I have already addressed the technical problems of bad sound and level of the volume of both the ceremony and the music. Now let me speak about the "uplighting" which was sold to us with gorgeous photos. Our venue really didn't require any additional lighting but we thought it might really make it even prettier! It ended up being unevenly spaced and pointed up to the ceiling rather than the walls. They look more like a few lights the hall had in the floorboards than what it was sold to us! Guests were bumping into them all night and 1 of the bridesmaids tore her dress. The hostess found several pieces from them left behind. I tried to return them but was never called back. We also paid an extra $150 (over the $1700)for a custom design that was supposed to be projected on dance floor. The night was winding down and my photographer asked us to take a photo by it. It was then that I realized all we had gotten was a squiggly letter that just looked like a light. To this day I have never been reimbursed. It has taken me a many months to be able to do even talk about this day I hope you will understand that we have nothing to gain from this review but saving another couple from having their day ruined.I would bet there are many more couples too embarrassed and shamed that despite all their planning they also fell into this smooth business until it was also too late.My tears and lost memories can never be replaced but YOU can save yours by NOT hiring this horrific business. read more

This is the best DJ company in the city without a doubt. Very professional and their quality of service speaks for itself.

Our daughter and son-in-law had a very small "COVID" wedding ceremony last year. We finally were able to have a reception to celebrate their young marriage. Bill (office) and Conner (onsite DJ) were professional and friendly as we planned the event. They were flexible as we made adjustments when our circumstances changed a bit. In the end it was a beautiful event. Their lighting meshed perfectly with the decor, flowers and everything in the room. We received compliments all night on how great the setting was. And when we walked in Saturday afternoon and saw those sparkling, lit, floor-to-ceiling chandeliers, we were very glad we added those on! We loved how Conner emceed the whole reception. The flow was very smooth, from our mini-ceremony at the beginning, through dinner, the toasts, first dances, and the dancing, all the way through the "Piano Man" finale. This reception was 17 months in the making, and Double Platinum DJ helped us make it most celebratory and memorable. read more

The DJ threw water on the bridesmaids. He handled the situation very poorly.

Could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding a couple weeks at Schlitz Audubon Center. We weren't looking for a DJ to be an overly involved MC for our event - we just wanted a packed dance floor and for everyone to have an awesome time. Chris from Double Platinum delivered on that and then some. We had a few song changes for the ceremony part and he handled it flawlessly despite not having a ton of advance warning. At the reception the dance floor was packed from the second the mother-son dance ended until the party ended. Both Bill and Chris were positive, responsive and flexible throughout the entire planning. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who puts a high priority on music at their wedding! read more

I can give nothing but praise for the service Double Platinum DJ provided at our wedding at Discovery World on March 15, 2015. I was surprised as to how organized and well prepared they were, they sent us a booklet with a list of songs that we can choose from, mostly to give them an idea of what type of music was to be played during the different parts of the ceremony and reception. Our DJ David Hall was beyond awesome, he really knew how to keep everyone on the dance floor and went above and beyond, highly recommend him. They also did an amazing job with the lighting that they provided, it made the venue much more memorable. read more

Double Platinum is, by far, the BEST full-service DJ in Wisconsin. WOW, they are an extraordinary company. I quickly learned that they are so much more than just music. Their musical abilities absolutely rocked and rolled my wedding into the early hours of the morning, but their ability to transform the space into a visual dream world through lights was beyond measure. They layered uplighting with spotlights and gobos to revolutionize the space, creating a high-energy, elegant venue to impress even the most discerning taste. When we had a last-minute request for an extra-large video screen, Double Platinum was not only able to procure one for us, but also to transport it and assemble it on-site that week. They are flexible, responsive, and willing to go the extra mile to impress their clients. Our DJ, Alex, and our amazing techs, Shane and Jacob, are experts in their craft. The owner, Bill, is an innovative genius. If you hope to create a memorable event that will impress your friends, family or co-workers, Double Platinum is the only way to go. read more

Totally phoned it in for our wedding. Bill was our dj and he played wrong mother son dance song, missed song cues during ceremony, did a laser light show that we specifically asked him not to, played a lot of songs not from our play list, and was very hard to get in touch with right before the wedding. Also had played venue many times and did not put speakers in the back and no one could hear speeches if they weren't in the front. Would not recommend this dj. Fortunately it was the only bad part of our wedding! read more

Everything turned out okay-a few services that I paid for didn't occur during the wedding and I was suppose to be refunded, it's been over 6 months of me calling, emailing, texting and inboxing the company for my $700 refund. I have heard nothing after our initial conversation when the owner said he was going to refund my money. I paid over $10k for services with them for my wedding. They are absolutely ridiculous at this point. read more

Double Platinum did the DJ and uplightinig at our 3/26/16 wedding at the Box in downtown MKE. We worked with Bill the owner, Alex the office manager and Chris was our DJ. Bill and Alex were easy to communicate with, and they made the process really simple. I was super late to booking a DJ and didn't contact them until January. I was stressed because picking a good DJ was really important to us, but it is hard to interview DJs and I didn't receive any references from other friends that had gotten married in Milwaukee. Oh and their package also included uplighting which was a big reason we went with them. Chris was set to me our DJ- we wanted more of a party than wedding vibe and he was spot on. We asked for Miley & Justin and no slow songs. He knew to play a few oldies at the beginning to get the party going and then switched into contemporary music as the night went on. Everyone was up and dancing and had a great time!! The space with the uplighting was also beautiful. Don't stress yourself out looking for a DJ- go with Double Platinum! Thanks guy!! read more

I'm shocked this company has decent overall ratings. I contacted Double Platinum DJ Service early in my wedding planning. I spoke with the manager about music choices and they cashed my deposit check and our final $1000+ payment. I thought we were all set! The DJ never showed up. They never came!!! I had family and friends from out of town that we could only offer dinner to. When trying to contact the company to complain, we kept getting told that the owner was out of the country on vacation. Three weeks later, we heard from the owner... at which time he said it was my fault the DJ didn't show up as I didn't submit a play list! I had a FaceTime discussion with his company manager about my song choices!!! Don't go with this company. They are not reliable! read more

Absolutely outstanding! Bill made our wedding perfect! I could not have been happier how everything turned out. We got so many compliments on the light up dance floor and great music. The floor was full all night! Bill did a great job working with me and completing my vision. He provided the music for the ceremony also and played every song at the exact moment I wanted them to be played. I cannot say enough about how he made the night truly wonderful! read more

Avoid this company at all costs! The owner, Bill, was initially warm and welcoming. As our date approached he would never return any of our phone calls. Our wedding ended up being subcontracted to some Dj with little or no experience. His appearance was sloppy, and the equipment being used was nothing like the "high end" services that he constantly brags about. Over all, totally disappointed. We had considered using another service and in retrospect, wish we would have. read more

Lack of professionalism from Bill and the DJ--showed up late to the wedding and played the WRONG first dance and father/daughter dance. The music choice was terrible that our guests had to go help pick out the music for the DJ. Communicated the problems with Bill, but he's been avoiding our complaints. Still haven't heard from Bill although we've tried emailing him and Facebooking him. He has now deleted us from his Facebook. Don't trust the "good" reviews. read more
