We had Brenden for our DJ and he was awesome! He met with us ahead of time to talk about the general vibe we wanted, the kind of music we liked and disliked, all that. He even came out to see the exact space so he'd know what to bring and where to set up, etc. He was very helpful in guiding us through the planning process and asking us for specific things so it all went smoother. We would have had no idea what to do, otherwise, having never planned a wedding reception before. For instance, he asked for a list of songs to play for the first dance, which was also the anniversary dance for us, since we didn't want to do a solo dance. He also suggested a "do not play list" and we definitely gave him one, which he stuck to faithfully. He had a form to fill out for bridal part info, which was great. We didn't actually have a bridal party and our wedding was fairly non-traditional, but just by having the form and talking through it all, we were able to make sure we were all on the same page it all went smoothly. He provided the mics for the ceremony and speeches, and did a few announcements for things here an there, but that we pretty much all we needed for MC services. If we had needed the full shebang, he would have been able to do that easily as well. But he was very flexible and didn't push for us to do anything we didn't want to. Which I can't say for every DJ service we called! A lot of them are full of machismo and don't listen to you. Brenden was the opposite of that- he listened, he provided his professional advice, and he made us feel confident that the night was going to go how we wanted it to. Brenden also brought some awesome lights for uplighting and it changed the whole atmosphere! It was beautiful and really made the place look polished. Even though our decorations were awesome, it wouldn't have looked as perfect without the uplighting, which was small, easy to put together, and available in any color so it matched our theme! As for the music itself, he did fantastically! The dinner music was at just the right volume, and interesting enough to listen to but not overpowering for conversation. The after-dinner party music was also perfect! A lot of people were out on the dance floor for a long time, myself included! And it was a great mix of fast and slow songs. If there's a downside to Brenden's work, it's only that by the end of the night my feet were killing me. :) So if you get the chance, pick Brenden! read more

I booked B-Kuhl very early on in my wedding planning process, and didn't realize that he was just starting out, building his business. I was really excited about him, and felt great about our choice. The week of our wedding, we did our final consultation, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. We never received any indication that anyone other then him would be DJing our wedding. Fast forward to 10 pm the night before, I'm at ,y rehearsal dinner and I get a phone call from him saying he has selected one of his "colleagues" to handle our wedding, while he took care of the other one he had booked. I had no idea how to respond, but at that point I had no choice but to just assume it was fine. It ended up not being fine. The DJ he hired for us messed up every single one of the special dance songs, including not even being able to play the father-daughter dance song, not to mention had some weird things happen during regular songs. I called him and asked him to call me the next day to discuss what had happened, and how upset I was. He called and after about an hour, we came to a solution, but he never once admitted fault in not informing us that he worked with other DJs. Additionally his contract was written to imply he would be the DJ. He offered us free DJ services in the future, but that had no value to us. The night of our wedding he had one other wedding, plus a bar event. I believe he didn't realize he was overbooked until that week and rushed to find anyone to handle our wedding. I didn't buy that he had worked with this other person before, as he was so clearly incompetent. I truly don't believe he is a bad person, or intended to mess up our day. I believe this was a perfect example of inexperience and professional oversight. I can't say I would or would not recommend him, nor could I comment on quality of service, since he didn't provide our service. I tried to base my rating on my actual experience with him.. But my situation makes it difficult to do that. I would just be sure anyone who works with him... hashes out exactly who is DJing their wedding at the time of booking, not allowing him to leverage events to make the most money, at the expense of your wedding. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about Amy and Kuhl Entertainment. We worked with Amy for our May 2017 wedding and it was a great experience. The process was not only painless but fun. We had initial meetings with Amy where we talked about our music tastes, then subsequent meetings we got into more specifics about songs that we wanted at the wedding, as well as the themes of the wedding, and also more about our lives and hobbies. It was super fun meeting with Amy every time and she asked some great questions for us, and got really excited and engaged with our wedding. She was clearly very invested in it, sending us songs she found, and she really understood what we wanted for our big day. One of the issues that my wife and I had was deciding on a song for our first dance. We had gone back and forth over about a dozen songs, and just weren't sure which one really fit for us. Amy suggested a song that was absolutely perfect, and we did use it as our first dance! Amy was also very helpful in coordinating other aspects of our wedding that we were unsure about logistically. All of the music she chose for the cocktail hour and during dinner was perfect. My wife and I had given her some themes we would like use, and she found the perfect mix of songs. Finally the music selections for the last half of the evening, the dancing, were perfect. The energy was kept at the perfect level and all of the songs that my wife and I absolutely wanted played were played at exactly the right times. Amy also made sure that songs or genres we didn't want played were not, even when a particularly unruly guest was requesting them. We continue to get comments from our other guests about how much fun they had at our wedding, and they always talk about the dancing. If you are looking for an amazing DJ service, B Kuhl entertainment is absolutely the best choice. My husband and I had seen Josh at the Watertown Bridal Fair back in 2011, and loved his personality, style, and services. We originally ended up going with a friend of my husband who also is a DJ. Then, all of a sudden, 4 weeks before the wedding, our friend backed out and we were stuck. So I emailed Josh, thinking it was a long shot to see if he would be booked, and literally within 5 minutes, he emailed back saying he did have that day open! He unfortunately had another event that night, but he sent his right hand man Brenden and he was AMAZING! Brenden was there and set up well before our event started, played all the music we wanted (eliminated what we didn't), and was entertaining the entire night. We had so many compliments and many people asked about their info to book them for their own events. Josh sent everything through email to us to get the ball rolling (since it was such short notice) and was very accomodating to our requests. He is super easy to work with, gets everything back to you in a timely manner, and makes sure you, as a customer, are 100% satisfied. We met with both Brenden and Josh the week before the wedding to finalize all the details and they were very good about all the details. They make up an itinerary for you, have a music SAT to fill out for all of your favorite (and not so fave) music, do not play lists, and tuxedo trivia (which our guests loved!) We hired B Kuhl Entertainment to DJ our wedding. We worked with the owner, Josh, on the contract and the pre-wedding business arrangements. He was very professional and clearly knew what questions needed to be asked. He was also just an all-around nice guy. Easy-going and likeable, it is easy to see why Josh does well in front of a crowd. Our emcee for the wedding was Brenden, also known as DJ Tanner. Brenden could not have been a better fit for our party. He read the crowd like a seasoned professional, and kept the party hopping until the last song. My stepdad nearly killed himself boogieing down to The Hustle and Shout. My dad even busted out his line dancing moves! It was spectacular. We ended up with nearly all our friends following to the after party because Brenden put everyone in such a party mood! Brenden also set up the lighting at our wedding, and it was breathtaking! He know a TON about music, not just wedding music and was able to direct us down our planning path without imposing. He even did our off site ceremony sound & mics! Where to start... This is definitely a great company to work with. Josh was great at helping to point us in the right direction in the meetings, and replied very quickly to emails and texts. Bill was our dj for the wedding and we could not have been happier with him. He was professional and courteous without being boring and stuffy. Our wedding was a mix of traditional and fun/geeky/quirky and he fit in very well. He was wearing an awesome TMNT shirt when he arrived for set up but was changed to dress shirt, tie and slacks by the time guests arrived. (We asked him to put the turtle shirt back on though). His energy level was high the whole night and he made sure there were no lulls in the action. I just can not say enough good things about these guys. There are simply no words that can describe the experience and the "feels" I got from DJ Amy at our wedding. She made us both feel like we were close friends. She made certain we were catered to at every moment of dinner and dancing; literally finding my wife and me on the dance floor to get a beverage order for us or to bring us food. We sat with Josh Kuhl and he helped us determine who would be the right choice for us and he was right DJ Cam was perfect! He was everything we wanted in a DJ/Emcee and more! Excellent DJ service! I recently got married in April of 2015 and loved this company. I had the DJ Amy and she was fantastic. She was going around making sure that not only my husband and I were having a good time but everyone else as well. While we were eating dinner Amy kept coming up and refilling our drinks so we wouldn't have to get up! At the end of the night Amy also helped my wedding party pick up the center pieces and place them where they needed to be. The photo booth attendant Andy was also very courteous to my guests and received numerous compliments about him!.
