A go-to for sandwiches! I love this place. It was close to my place of residence and there was a time staff ordered from here daily for lunch. The deli is close to St John's university so it has taken a very college ambiance especially with the sandwiches have such clever names. Food: i ordered the ROTC (no bacon). It was amazing as usual. They have very unique sandwiches you can pre order or make your own creation. Bread is always fresh and ingredients as always too notch. They have vegetarian creations as well. Ambiance: it's a deli. It's small but I normally order for pick up. There are regular deli items for for purchase. And a tv to watch while you wait for your order. Price: the sandwiches are on the pricy side but a hero usually lasts me two meals so well worth it. Service: store owner is very pleasant and funny. The man making the sad which is patient and quick with the orders. Overall if you're in the mood for something different and creative come here for a different hero sandwich experience.

This unassuming little deli has the largest selection of sandwiches I've ever seen. The owner is super friendly and I don't think there is anything bad on the menu. Cash only, FYI. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Need breakfast and I heard this was a good place for it. It's a small deli/convince store with a huge menu of hero sandwiches. I am pretty sure they can make anything you desire if it's not on the menu. I end up ordering the vegetarian option, which turned out to be an okay hero but not great. I would be willing to try it again and try something different. Price a little steep for just a sandwich. The service was pleasant

Good quality, stuffed sandwiches. You can order anything you like. When you walk in you see tons of sandwich options to select from. There's something for everyone here! Awesome staff too.

One of the best local delis for breakfast and lunch! The menu is huge and the food it fresh. Staff is very friendly and helpful no matter how big the order. Rotc on garlic bread hero is delicious!

Double J is the little deli that could. A great neighborhood joint for great sandwiches, wraps & to-go breakfast. This is the type of place where the cops hangout, so you know the food is good and John the proprietor knows you by name. Open 24 hrs and only 2 blocks from St John's University makes it a great place for beer runs, late night eats, hangover & post-partying crawls. Recently, they've added all these funky sandwiches with wacky names and weird combinations you see at other college town delis. There's the Grill Man w/ cajun roast beef, grilled onions, chipotle sauce on garlic bread, the Fly Me to the Moon w/ turkey pastrami, chicken nuggets, cheese. There's also the End of the World (don't remember what's on it), a heart attack on a hero. Customize them how you want them, and eat them at anytime of day you want. The specialty sandwiches range from $6.50-$9.50 and it's cash only.

It was my first time visiting this place and I loved the service. They were very helpful and there are so many options to choose from! I got grilled chicken with tomatoes and mayo and mozzarella cheese on a whole wheat wrap and it was the most DELICIOUS wrap I've ever had. My bf got the EXB wrap. Will definitely visit again soon!

Ever since the deli was sold the sandwiches became horrible. Food overcooked and quality went down

Small space inside but you don't need much space to make bussin sandwiches. Walking or public transportation is preferred. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after a long day doing booth duty at a summit and was starving from not eating the entire day. Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! THE FINAL BAMBOO: The two sandwiches were around $45, a little pricier on the sandwich side but man are they delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm in NYC.

The La Paradiso sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachios...God's creation!!So when I heard they were coming to NYC, I was SO excited. Okay... it was good, but it was not Italy good. My focaccia didn't taste as fresh, and my sandwich felt rushed;like it wasn't made with love. It still tasted good, but it was definitely not the same magical experience as that first bite I had in Rome. The lemon drink definitely get it. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I had the original in Italy, but I wanted to love it more!

I'm so glad Broad Nosh Bagels & Deli popped up in my search, as it was exactly what I was looking to enjoy. A couple of us trekked the few blocks to find the storefront. Inside it was PACKED, and several groups and lines snaked around the dividers. But the line moved quickly between customers picking up to-go meals and placing orders at the counters. The display cases are beautiful and feature so many different kinds of cream cheese. (Who knew you could make a whole vat of Biscoff?) They also had many types of smoked fish and toppings for customers filing through. Once you order food, you take your ticket to the register where you can add any drinks. This also went fairly quickly. Food and drink order numbers were called out and checked with the receipts, although they called out a set of orders for several minutes and no one came to pick them up. There are a few tables there, but since customers wait to grab drinks and food near the front, the couple tables at the front were basically for crowd control. I definitely wouldn't try to eat there unless I happened to be going at a quieter time. I got the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was exactly what I had been craving. Their bagels are a quarter pound each, so you might even get two meals out of it if you have a fridge for storage. But even as good as the bagel was, the hot chai latte with oat milk was the star for me. It was so incredibly layered for flavor and fragrant, just lightly sweet. I would go out of my way on a trip to NYC just to get one of these for breakfast! We all really enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return.
